Yeah...Sabres look great giving up TWO short-handed goals in one game. I mean I love the Sabres...but damn, thats just sad. And Miller has to sit the next game and get his head screwed on straight. In the last 4 periods he's allowed 8 goals.

Come on, we all know in a few hours BB.com will break the amazing news that the Bills have brought in offensive megastar Robert Royal.

All joking aside, at least we could all get behind the Matt Schobel free agent signing if it were to happen. At least he has good, solid hands and is a red zone threat...plus, with Aaron on the team that would be pretty cool. The only thing I know about Royal is that he has stone hands and is slow.

Pssshh, Vernon Davis cant hold a candle to Robert Royal. I mean, lets compare the two. Davis = Bland last name. Royal = Regal last name. The choice is obvious.

I never wanted Bentley, simply because if the Bills did pony up the cash to sign him, he'd be our only FA signing. Even as good as he is (Which I'm not debating, and anyone who does question that is just plain ignorant), we have SO many holes on this team we couldnt just make him our only FA this offseason. We need an OT (Runyan hopefully) an interior O-Lineman and at least one starting DT. If we signed Bentley, no way we could have afforded anything else.

Damn, I wanted Kyle Kosier too...ah well.

I'm glad we got Royal in here, he'll solve our O-Line problems...not like any good O-Lineman are flying...off...the...shelves... D'OH! But hey, we'll have a great third string TE!

Still practically nothing...I'd still want to see a long-term deal reached with him soon though so we can have more money to spend in FA.

With the new cap, the Skins dont have to cut very many at all.

Its definitely improvement...I'm still very high on Lutui, the guy is just an absolute beast and a hell of a guy. To me, he's the 2nd best OG in the draft.

Anyone who is a Texas fan can tell you that Huff doesnt always tackle like that, in fact his tackling style reminds me of Antoine Winfield's (going for the legs, take the ballcarrier out of the play).

Golisano has this "evil billionaire" look to him every time I see him. After every Sabres game I assume he just goes home and eats a puppy...just because he can. Not that I mind that, I'm all for evil if it means keeping the Bills in Buffalo.

I'm all about Michael Huff. I think if we can get 1-2 free agent starters on the O-Line (Runyan or Shaffer and Mawae or Hartwing...whatever combo we can get) and then another starting DT (Pickett), selecting Huff would be great for us. The guy is just a beast...one of the preview mags already out said it best by describing him as "The best CB, FS and SS in the Draft". Could fit us perfectly. Actually, that video shows his BEST attribute...check out his ability to anticipate plays. Right when the ball is snapped...BAM...there he is in perfect position.

Here's a wacky stat...the Sabres have only taken 16 shots on goal tonight, and have five goals. Compare that to TB who has already put up 27 shots. That means almost 1/3rd of time the Sabres shoot the puck, the score a goal Hopefully that short-handed one just pulled the life right out of the Bolts.

As much as I'm disliking how the Sabres are playing Defense right now, you gotta admit...this is a fun game to watch. Now lets just hope they toughen up during the period break and shut these guys down. We need these points.

I think my complaint about them is that they seem to make very silly mistakes at the worst possible times. Like just now, they go up 4-3...get a surge going...and then get a penalty. It just slows everything down, every time they appear as if they are going to run away with it, they get caught doing something foolish. As good as they've been this year, they HAVE to tighten up those mental screws when it comes to these games where they can gain ground on the Sens.

2-2 now...Dumont's got two goals. Still though, our Defense looks terrible tonight and our passing is embarassing. They're lucky as hell to escape this period still tied.
