  1. Redskins | Team to sign A. Carter Mon, 13 Mar 2006 14:05:39 -0800 Adam Schefter, of the NFL Network, reports the Washington Redskins are in the process of signing free agent DE/LB Andre Carter (49ers) to a six-year, approximately $30 million contract.
  2. Does that mean we can FINALLY hit Tom Brady upside the head with a chair?
  3. Definitely our 2nd rounder to move up into the Top 5.
  4. Oh man, if Vince Young falls the Bills are going to rape some poor team for all its worth in a trade-down offer. Check out the selection order of the few picks after the Bills #8: 8: Buffalo 9: Detroit 10: Arizona 11: St. Louis 12: Cleveland 13: Baltimore 14: Philly 15: Atlanta 16: Miami 17: Minnesota All those teams in bold need a starting QB. Now, with Detroit at #9, and everyone knowing the Bills wont take Vince Young, I bet you that Marv's phone will be ringing off the hook from the Ravens and Vikings trying to get ahead of Detroit who would definitely take Young at #9 if he falls. Keep your fingers crossed that Young does indeed fall, because it means the Bills can pick up at least an extra 2nd rounder in the process. By the way, I didnt include Miami because they're either going to get Culpepper or Drew Brees.
  5. If we can sign Pickett, I'm guessing we take Michael Huff at #8 or trade down and stockpile O-Lineman. That is if nothing goofy happens like D'Brickashaw or Mario Williams falls, in which case OBVIOUSLY take either one of them.
  6. The new CBA (with 10 million extra on the cap this season) bailed them out.
  7. Clumpy lays the economic pimp hand down.
  8. Ryan Pickett is all well and good but...uhhhm...O-Line? Hello? Bueller?
  9. Would LOVE to see Stephen Neal be brought into Buffalo.
  10. I was going to say Runyan, but according to KFFL he doesnt have any visits scheduled yet. So...hmmmm...McCown?
  11. That Chris Spielman guy sucked.
  12. Trade down for sure...because you'll get a scared team like the Ravens who will panic at seeing the Lions sitting at #9 and want to jump ahead of them to grab the QB that drops. We're in a good spot for a trade-down if the QBs start falling.
  13. Wow, really smart on the Vikings part. How long before the first "MARV BLEW IT!!1!!1!1!!!111!" post shows up on The Wall over Hutch?
  14. Awwww, someone was upset their first post was ignored, so they felt the need to start another. How dainty.
  15. Their offense was supposed to be good THIS year but flopped.
  16. Lets say a solemn prayer for the end of Edge's career. The Cards = Where good players go to die.
  17. The guy has never played a full season in his 3-year NFL career...no thanks.
  18. Yup...Watson is also chunktacular.
  19. There are a lot of underrated OTs in free agency this year. I dont think we'll have too much trouble getting help along the edges BUT, the interior O-Line FAs are terrible (aside from Mawae or Flanagan). So I think any interior O-Line improvements are probably going to happen with the Draft.
  20. Or Brenston Buckner...or Russell Davis...or Grady Jackson...lots of fatties still exist in FA.
  21. My first thought was that Couch must have been begging for loose change.
  22. Its a tough call, the problem with Davis is no one has really ever given him a shot at being a starter. When he was with the Browns, they had that idiotic "rotating" WR system that had him start one week, down to the slot the next week, back up to the start the following week, etc...messed him (and the rest of the Browns WRs) up for sure. Davis I think could surprise some people during Training Camp when you see just how fast he is...so, I'm going to say yes, he has all the talent to be a starter in the NFL. Maybe not a #1 but a strong #2 who can outmuscle his way around CBs.
  23. You know, as someone who is a big Andre Davis fan, I'm sure this is going to come off as biased and cliched, but all this kid really needs is a chance. His entire career he's been stuck with teams that just stuck him in a rotation and never made his role clear to him...but every place he's gone he's shown tremendous ability and found ways to produce. Ask Browns fans and they'll tell you he was easily their most explosive receiver. Ask Patriots fans and even when he was low on the pecking order behind established Pats WRs like Givens, Brown and Branch...he still found a way to contribute AND still be a great special teams stud. He's still young, oodles of talent and a very likeable player...a good addition to the team. We'll see if this has any bearing on Moulds situation.
  24. Nope, still a lot of holes on this squad...but the Triplett move was a smart one.
  25. I'm cool with Stovall as well, although the red flag around him is that he didnt do ANYTHING until Charlie Weiss got there. Baskett has been improving every single year without any help.
