  1. We could EASILY get him in the 2nd, methinks. His injury problems should scare all teams away from taking him in the first.
  2. Has this popped up anywhere online yet? Just curious to see if it gets picked up by any website.
  3. Thats EXACTLY the same team I'm talking about. Not taking into consideration them bombing badly this year in the playoffs (28-3 in the wildcard round, wasnt it?), the same year you are talking about they had the chance to make it to the playoffs. All they had to do was beat a below .500 Texans team in Week 16. In Jax. And they got SHUT-OUT. 21-0. Not only that, only about half the stadium was filled for what basically was a playoff game and their last home game of the season. The Jaguars (and their fans) just dont seem to care when its a game that actually matters, when its do or die. Hence the most apathetic team in the NFL. I'm not saying they arent a good team, but they just dont show up for the big ones.
  4. There is a point where it DOES become not worth it in my opinion. At least not with The Texans. If they start dragging their feet and only pony up a 5th, I'm sure one of the other 5 teams interested would give up a 4th to trump the Texans. My point is just because Moulds has a contract now with the Texans, that doesnt mean we should negotiate strictly with them. They have the inside track for sure, but I dont think they can start throwing their weight around and only give up a 5th for a starting WR in the NFL without The Bills leaving the table and finding another partner.
  5. Add in that Jax is EASILY the most apathetic team in football. They remind me of that one episode of South Park where the kids are playing Little League baseball and get upset when they realize winning means they have to play more baseball games. I'm not saying we're going to have a good year by any means (early prediction is 6-10 for me) but its not like we'll go down as the worst team in NFL history like some people on the Wall are claiming.
  6. Good. The fact that we got a contract in place means the hard work is over. Now its just a matter of compensation. If it is anything less than a 4th, I say walk on the deal. And none of that "2007 Draft Pick" crap unless its a 2nd rounder or higher, we need help now. Who knows? Maybe once this news starts making rounds, Philly will panic and up their own offer. Good news for us, either way.
  7. I'm not on board with trading Losman at all, but I agree with your main point that its clear Marv is gearing up for a big draft. The one thing that works HUGE into our favor is that this draft is very deep at the positions we need help at. Call it luck, call it a strong class...but it should be noted that we will have no problem finding talent well into the 4th round, which is why hopefully whenever we trade Moulds we get that first pick of the 2nd day in exchange. One guy who I think all Bills fans should be aware of is Davin Joseph, the Guard out of Oklahoma. First off, he compares himself to Ruben Brown and said in two separate interviews I've read with him that he models his game after Brown. I'd love to get him with our 2nd, instant upgrade at one of our crappy Guard spots.
  8. The only team that is likely to take Huff who picks above us are the Niners, so there is definitely a chance he's gone...but the Niners have SO many holes they could go a number of different routes.
  9. Any word if there is truth to this?
  10. My first choice is Huff, my 2nd is still Haloti Ngata. Although I am warming up to Winston Justice, I've done a bit of research on him over the last few days and he seems like a very talented kid (and I do mean kid, he's only 20)
  11. *shakes an angry fist into the air* You damn kids with your make-out parties and combustible engines, get off my lawn! Rassum frassum young'ins.
  12. It begs the question though...say we do end up trading JP. I wont get into compensation or any of that nonsense since it's still waaaay too early to tell (this whole story might be crap anyways.) But say we do trade Losman. And say Vince Young falls to our pick, like I've seen him fall in many of the more recent mocks (in fact, the last 7 mocks I've read, all 7 of them having him falling past us at #8). Do we take Young if we traded Losman? Wouldnt he just add to the competition, or do other needs take precedence? An interesting dilemma to say the least.
  13. Funny thought though...could you imagine what would happen to The Wall if we drafted Jay Cutler with the #8 overall pick? Even I'd start voting for suicide at that point.
  14. Should Vince Young be getting fitted for his Bills uniform? Now there would be a sight. Trading Losman is a BAD IDEA. The guy has...what...8 starts under his belt? If he bombs next season after starting again, then yeah...fine...trade him or release him. But doing so now just seems like jumping the gun.
  15. At first I thought the same as Newman did, but I've changed my opinion over the last few days. Lets face it, if Moulds gets released...a team like the Texans has NO shot at getting him with the Eagles and the Seahawks both in the UFA race. Their only shot is a trade, and since they seem to be pushing so hard for him...hell, it'll make Philly or Seattle panic and up their own offers to secure his services.
  16. There are a couple of decent O-Lineman still out there...guys like Victory Riley, Anthony Clement and Ephraim Salaam have all been starters at OT in their careers. The guy I REALLY want is Tutan Reyes, the Guard from Carolina. Only been in the league 5 years (so he'd fit the trend of signing young guys) and has started the last two years in Carolina. I'd be very happy to give him a shot here...at the very worst, he's better depth than what we've got.
  17. Yep, they can. In fact, if they couldnt, we'd be Soprano-less. But perhaps I've said too much...
  18. Eagle fans really dislike Thomas for flopping badly the last two years. You hear the same things that we said about Mike Williams...fat, lazy, underachiever. I'd pass on him.
  19. This was all reported for the first time yesterday afternoon...before all of this Moulds to be traded to the Texans or Eagles talk broke so its already outdated.
  20. Didnt see your post when I posted mine...hopefully the mods can combine the two. By the way, here is the actual article KFFL is talking about, you have to register with the website, but just use king@aol.com with the password being: Connor. Thanks bugmenot! http://www.projo.com/patriots/content/proj...jo.d99a913.html Honestly, it sounds like this will get done really soon. Getting the first pick of the 4th round is at least SOMETHING if we trade with the Texans. Maybe the Eagles being involved can push that up to a third rounder.
  21. Patriots | Team not moving fast enough for Moulds Mon, 27 Mar 2006 22:33:01 -0800 Tom E. Curran, of the Providence Journal, reports Buffalo Bills WR Eric Moulds' advisor, Gerg Johnson, said the Philadelphia Eagles and the Houston Texans are moving faster than the New England Patriots to try to land Moulds. Johnson said, "It's not going to work out [with New England]. The timing's not right. The only way it would get done now is if it falls apart with these other teams, and I don't see that happening." He believes everything will be settled in the next 48 hours. The fact that they mentioned the Patriots werent working "fast enough" makes me think this probably will get settled fairly soon. I was hoping for more teams to be involved but if the Iggles and Texans keep trying to one-up each other, they might drive the price up.
  22. ... Okay, we found the silver lining.
  23. WOW...this team has completely lost its way. Whats this now, a six-game losing streak? This meltdown is becoming really hilarious now. So much for all of those good feelings we all had a month ago. I'd love to hear someone give some positives with this team right now.
  24. I'm definitely on that bandwagon...to me Michael Huff is just a playmaker deluxe, and considering how deep this year's draft class is in DTs, we could easily take Huff in the first and snag a very good DT in the 2nd or 3rd.
  25. Jets | Pope signed Mon, 27 Mar 2006 17:30:04 -0800 The New York Jets announced free agent DL Monsanto Pope (Broncos) signed with the New York Jets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
