  1. Well we know when our season will end at least... Of course knowing this team, our season ends around Week 8 this year.
  2. Gibson has been out of football for an entire year though, God knows what his conditioning will be when he gets back considering he was already REALLY sluggish when he left. I'm not hating on the move, it definitely is worth a shot...but I wouldnt pin my hopes on us finding the solution to our Guard problems just yet.
  3. I'm actually hoping that Vince Young falls to us...but not for us to take. I guarantee that if he falls to 8, Minnesota will panic and trade up for him so teams like Arizona, Baltimore, Denver or Miami dont get a crack at him. I'd take their first and second rounder (for those trade value chart lovers out there, that would be us giving up 1400 and them giving up 1370...pretty damn close). That'll give us the 17th and 48th overall selections and even more options to beef up our O-Line and D-Line in the draft.
  4. Kinda confused though...Tutan Reyes is STILL a UFA, a Guard who started on the Panthers O-Line the last two years (one of the best in the NFL). If we're bringing in Fattie Gibson, why not use that money we freed up towards a guy like Reyes who can actually compete for the LG spot?
  5. Feed me Seymour! As a Guard he's worth a shot. http://www.chicagobears.com/uploads/photos...nside072804.jpg
  6. Hey, Kiwaukee Thomas is actually decent! At the very least a solid nickel or dime back for us. I'm actually kinda impressed with this signing, very under the radar. The rest of them...eh...it'll be interesting to see if Gibson can reclaim his career, the other two are scrubs.
  7. When Culpepper said "I'm hoping to be ready by the end of preseason" AFTER he was traded to the Dolphins...you could hear the entire Dolfelon fan base slap their foreheads. The fact that Miami is currently whoring themselves out to find another QB should tell you how they feel about Culpepper's recovery process so far.
  8. Not according to the publications out there. PFW: "Has very long arms and good lateral agility to slide and cut off speed rushers...has a freakishly giant wingspan." Sporting News Scouting: "Has the arms and hands to control defenders at the point of attack. He has a wingspan that makes defenders take a wide arc." Street & Smith: "Effective drive blocker who uses his hands well and has a powerful strong-hand punch." NFL Draft Countdown: "Has great size and long arms." Lenny P: "In the pass-block drills, Justice, who has the kind of wingspan scouts love (34½ inches) in pass protectors..." And as for playing LT, Mel Kiper was talking OTs on ESPNews two days ago and said that Justice will have no problem making the jump due to the fact Matt Leinart was left-handed so Justice has oodles of experience protecting the blind side of a QB. Kiper said that most teams regard him as a LT anyways because of that fact, and because Leinart isnt exactly the most mobile QB around so Justice had his work cut out for him a majority of last season. I'm not saying there arent question marks around Winston Justice, but not any more than there is with any other O-Lineman aside from D'Brickashaw in this draft. Justice has uber-upside and the Bills should think long and hard about drafting this stud to anchor the line. We've been saying for years "Fix the O-Line!"...now is our chance to do so with this draft.
  9. Marcus McNeal, speaking from an athletic standpoint, has all the tools to dominate at the NFL level. Probably has more physical tools than Justice or Ferguson. However, he is one of the more inconsistent OTs in the entire draft. He looks strong in one game and then gets run over by the Ole Miss DE in the next. Also, there have been some concerns because of his size how well he can deal with the NFL speed rushers since he never could handle college speed rushers very well. Definitely not ready to start in the NFL until he gets his head screwed on straight and brings it every game.
  10. I like Pat Watkins, he has a lot of potential and has some of the best size in a Safety I've ever seen. Only issue with him is his lack of experience, I think he's only been at the Safety spot for two years...he might take some time. But I'm definitely in favor of taking him with our first 3rd round selection if he's still there.
  11. The interviews were done this week, and obviously the guy has had some issues to deal with in the past but how much of that can be chocked up to youthful ignorance? On the field he's downright dominant, and he had the difficult task of protecting a pocket QB's blindside and handled it with ease. The gun (which was a toy pellet gun) was stupid, as was the prostitution solicitation...but look at the recently departed Eric Moulds. Coming out of college he was dodging child support payments and, to be polite about things, had physical altercations with his girlfriend. I would say he definitely calmed down over the years and turned out to be an exellent player. Some players you know arent going to make it with their character issues...Marcus Vick springs to me...he's selfish and spiteful, trying to maim another person on the field demonstrates that. But Justice is just a dumb college kid, there are PLENTY of those. The kid deserves a chance in my book, he comes off as a very nice guy who acknowledges he's screwed up in the past. I'd hate to see the Bills pass on a guy of his talent just because of some false-pious attitude that says our players must be, and must have ALWAYS been saints.
  12. I think people need to keep an eye out on Winston Justice as being our first round pick. Putting Justice at LT and then Max Jean-Giles or Davin Joseph at LG with our 2nd round pick...ddaaaaaayyyum, thats potentially dominant in two years. People say "fix the O-Line"...well that would definitely take a huge step towards doing just that. Not that I'd be angry over Huff, I like him a lot...but after seeing Justice's performance at his Pro Day and seeing several interviews where he seems like he's got his act together (plus, he is only 20...uber-upside), I'm beginning to think he would be a great addition to the Bills.
  13. It will be HILARIOUS to hear Marv try to spin this to Bills fans at the PC.
  14. Oh man, I almost hope we DID get a 6th rounder just to watch The Wall explode
  15. aka someone who FINALLY agrees with you.
  16. Jordan Gross of the Carolina Panthers = GOOD Jordan Black of the KC Chiefs = Crotch-grabbingly terrible.
  17. You're right. We should have cut him.
  18. I feel 99% sure that NONE of those players will last until the 5th. Maybe Setterstrom, but I'm not too high on him because all he's known in college is zone blocking schemes.
  19. Just to back up Gonzo here, ESPN News is saying that the deal involved PICKS. So hopefully we've got more coming to us than the 5th rounder.
  20. ESPN is reporting now that a deal was made for draft picks As in more than one pick was given to Buffalo.
  21. Looks like it is indeed a 5th by the way.
  22. Good job Marv, way to buckle. Very sad, a 5th rounder is essentially worthless to us. So the Texans get a Pro Bowl WR and we get...a backup punter. We didnt even get a swap of 4ths or a 2007 pick...wow...
  23. They've been reporting its a 5th for the last two weeks
  24. I just decided to pick one draft to check up on and went to the 2000 Draft. In the 5th round, the following players were taken: Tutan Reyes Clark Haggans Shane Lechler Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila Arturo Freeman Dante Hall Kiwaukee Thomas Chad Morton Superstars? Not really (aside from KGB and Hall). But still talented if you know where to look.
  25. Hey now, we dont KNOW its a 5th yet. Could be a 6th!
