Problem is, what position do you neglect to draft on Day One because you wanted a LB? OT? OG? DT? SS? Our O-Line cant survive another year with the Bills not paying attention to it. I wouldnt draft a LB until, at the earliest, the 4th round.

The deal for Nate Clements just zoomed out of the Bills price range, methinks.

Hmmmm...so Marv doesnt like Bunkley because he's concerned he cant adjust to the Buffalo winters, but he's okay with Ernie Sims who was born, raised and played high school and college football in the state of Florida? Dont get me wrong, I'm glad Marv isnt big on Bunkley because I'm not drinking the FSU Kool-Aid either...just seems like an odd little quirk for Marv to have.

Probably less than that...a 4th and a 5th. Still though, why not make that trade and stockpile some more picks...especially if its only sliding down 3 spots where Bunkley, Ngata or Justice could wind up being there.

Why on Earth would the Cards accept that trade? They are in no danger of Detroit taking Cutler with all of their QB whoring this offseason, and I really dont think Detroit will move out of #9 and pass on a chance to get Michael Huff. Trade doesnt make any sense to me. Now if we traded with the Ravens at pick #13 (letting them leapfrog St. Louis and Arizona who both are looking for a QB of the future) then that would make sense to me.

Apparently Captain Kangaroo blew up at his press conference and had some heated words for Ruff. Smart move Philly, give the Sabres more reason to take it to you. Maybe the Flyers should be worrying about winning games instead of taking pot shots at the Sabres coach.

I'm a big Justice fan, but due to the recent comments by the Bills Front Office, I dont think they'll be drafting him unless they trade down. Sure, it could be draft-speak, but I got the vibe they werent even considering him at #8. I'll be updating my mock draft tomorrow or Wed with my final mock, but I had to take Justice out as our first rounder because of those comments from Marv and Modrak.

I'm actually pretty surprised...Philly has played a somewhat clean 3rd (just as I type this they get hit with another penalty). But still...at least they have some sort of dignity by not just stooping down to the goon level and start aiming for knees.

I'll just settle for all of the bad hockey karma thats being dumped on Philly for their cheap shots. The third period is going to be very dangerous, unless the Sabres completely bomb out in the 3rd and let Philly get in it, all Philly is going to be thinking about is taking Sabres out to make it easier on them when they return to Philly.

How bad is this? The score is 6-1 and I'm still thinking "its not over yet". The curse of a Buffalo sports fan, its hard to believe it when things are going this good.

Thats what I find hilarious out of all of this. Read through the posts here on the Go Sabres message board and most people said the same thing...that they hoped Umberger was okay. No ill-will. No hate towards the guy just because he plays for the Flyers, we're all human beings after all. And yet Philly fans are calling to hurt our players because of a totally legal hit that even the Flyers themselves said they were perfectly fine with. Talk about heaping bad hockey karma on your own team. Yeah, we're the scumbags in this equation
