  1. Man, Garrett Mills is something else. If that kid was just 3-4 inches taller he'd be in the first round methinks. He just stampedes people when he makes the catches.
  2. Because Yahoo.com is your hook up again this year. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/prospects?rank_type=2 Just click on the little video camera to the left to watch the highlight films. Dont limit yourself to the stuff on that page though, by clicking QB or RB or WR for example, even more highlights of the lesser known players are available. Maybe get this the pinned treatment so people can check out our draft picks in action when they are selected. Anywho, enjoy!
  3. And what if the other teams with O-Line problems cant fill their needs during the draft? They'll turn to Reyes, who looks to me like the best available OG left on the market. And we'd be left without ANY improvements at all. Best to get him now, I still think the Bills draft a guard in Round Two, even with Reyes on board.
  4. I dig McCargo...but I think he'll definitely be there in the 2nd round by the time we pick, cant really see us trading up for him.
  5. Thats why I dont want to see the Bills drafting EITHER of them.
  6. Exactly...with signing Reyes, we've crammed half of Bennie's fatness out the doors...we just need Davin Joseph or Lutui to come in and push the rest of him out onto the streets. It reminds me of that old episode of the Critic where all of the islanders are trying to cram Marlon Brando out of the hut entrance.
  7. Whooooooo! About damn time! Doesnt change my Draft prediction though, I still think we go OG in the 2nd.
  8. We could easily get a stud guard in the 2nd, and I'd cringe at taking a CB that high.
  9. Just for reference, here is what KFFL is reporting from... Movers and shakers: The Texans and Bills are two of the teams at the top of the second round looking to move up. The Texans have the first pick in the second round. The Bills have the 42nd pick. The Bears are ready to trade out of the first round now that they have cornerback Ricky Manning Jr., but moving back to No. 42 might be too far down. They don't want to drop lower than 40 or 41. It was from Clayton's blog...not exactly detailed, makes me think we all jumped the gun on this baby. Still though, something more to talk about, whooo!
  10. How about Jim Bob Cooter? You cant stop the Coot-Man.
  11. ...This doesnt make too much sense. Maybe if the Bears were picking in the top 15 I could see it, but who in the heck would the Bills want in the late first?
  12. Hey, Rucker actually fits the Cover 2 really well. Probably will never be a starter, but could grow to be a decent backup. Thats why I picked him in my draft...think about it, we can call him Frostee The Snowman if he comes to Buffalo.
  13. It might work, the Niners are painfully dumb.
  14. How about guys who only looked good one single season of college football and it happened to be their senior season? Wouldnt that indicate they COULD be playing for the contract and return to their lazy, unproductive status once they get the millions?
  15. See, early in the draft we'll be fine...but what happens after 6pm when its past Marv and Ralph's bed time?
  16. You know, as crazy as this is to say (considering a few days ago I thought it was impossible...heck even my mock goes against it)... But I'm going to say the Bills draft D'Brickashaw Ferguson. I've got an odd feeling about this (could be crabs).
  17. Yeah I agree, Nate's not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree but he's not that dumb. He'll sign his franchise tender and play a year here if we dont sign him long-term. Not a doubt in my mind.
  18. Aside from the first rounder (which is all cray-zay right now depending if D'Brick actually does fall or if we trade down or up or God knows what) its a prediction. I have a good feeling the Bills will take a Guard in the second and I also feel confident they'll go for not one but two DTs in this draft. Basically the only real DTs we have on roster are Triplett and Anderson so I could see them using one late on Day One and one early on Day Two on DTs. I'm a big fan of Mahelona, he's one of the most underrated prospects in this draft. I'm sure some people will not like my mock because it lacks a CB and only takes a LB very late, but to me we have more pressing needs like rebuilding the lines. Besides, I actually really like our CB depth with King, Greer and Kiwaukee Thomas. Plus, FA is still pretty good for solid nickel or dime CBs so I just dont see the reason to spend a draft pick on one.
  19. Speaking of Soprano...methinks he'll be popping up over the next 48 hours...
  20. But if we trade down and both of them are off the board and Marv is forced to select a guy like Jimmy Williams or Ernie Sims...The Wall will explode and call for Marv's head.
  21. Yup, and I think the Bills know this. Can you get a decent Guard in Round Three? Sure...one of the top four (Joseph, Giles, Lutui or Spencer) could still be there...but I definitely dont want to leave that to chance. The Bills know when their pick comes around in the second, they'll probably still have 3 of those 4 available to them. What should be interesting is how the Bills rate them. Personally I view Davin Joseph as the elite prospect, but a lot of draft sites and experts (including Mel) claim that Giles is the best OG prospect. No matter who they select, if they take a Guard in Round Two we should get a decent starter out of the pick.
  22. Would you say that we took care of our O-Line problems last year by drafting Justin Geisinger in the 6th round? Or Dylan McFarland the year before in the 7th? That is a huge problem in my mind, the Bills dont seem to pay any attention to the O-Line until the second Day...and I'm sorry, the chances of you lucking out and selecting a future starter is very slim. So I would say there is a great danger of the O-Line and D-Line being neglected if we end up spending a high pick on a LB. I have no problem with the Bills taking AJ Hawk if he falls to #8, but beyond him I'd wait until the 4th to address the LB situation since we have SO many pressing needs we need to handle in Day One.
  23. I thought you spelled that B-U-S-T...
