I bought Cole Ford's practice jersey from BB.com years ago for 20 bucks. At the time it was just to own a Bills practice jersey but now...now its just hilarious because of what Ford has done.

HBO is always so damn iffy when it comes to their shows, its like when they hit with a great show, they either just cancel it waaaaaay too soon or take an unusually long break in between seasons and damage some of its popularity. Another example of this is Rome, which wont have its second season out until October of 2007. I know production value for that show is much higher than any other show they've done, but still...thats a LONG time to go from the first season to the second season.

Good news is all of the Sabres' major issues should be able to be corrected by Saturday. Getting Max to shoot on time will probably always be a nuisance, but not finishing off easy goals is something we can correct and I doubt you'll see the Sabres repeat that performance. I think Lindy will have them prepared to just END IT for this Game Five.

If you had to push me I'd say... Jimmy Smith belongs in the Hall of Very Good. Maybe, as Lori said, in a decade or so when its a weaker class he can sneak in, but as it stands now I seriously doubt he's a "surefire" selection into the Hall of Fame. Then again I laughed thinking that Warren Moon was a first-year entry...still think that was a sham.

This is usually a good sign though...if JSP is feeling down about the team, that means we'll win the next game Its when he starts feeling good that we lose.

I saw someone had a choking Sens logo as their avatar earlier too...that type of stuff angers the hockey gods. Lets try and be humble and see where that gets us.

Yup...but good news for us and bad news for the Sens is Timmy has two more days to feel better now.

How much of that was Ottawa playing really well though? Give the Sens lots of credit, they've got a lot of heart to pull a game out like this.

I think the Sabres will learn from this loss though. If anything, its got to make them realize that they arent world-killers. They still have to close out games and tweak the imperfection in their own style of play. I actually like that the next game is in Ottawa, the Sabres need a challenge like that to feel like the underdogs again. They thrive in hostile territory, and after being read the riot act by Lindy, I think they come out and end the series on Saturday with a much improved power play.

I wonder if all of the "Sens are worthless, Sabres are godly" comments will now END from the local media and fans. All of the silly songs and arrogant comments that I heard over the last 24 hours was really just asking for the Sabres to lose and the Sens to start a comeback. Its a tough road for them...but guess what? They took the first step tonight, IN Buffalo. Sabres have a lot of things wrong with the squad that was highlighted in this game, most notably being terrible on the power play. Now we all know how Sens fans felt, and they got some confidence now going back home to Ottawa. I really hope Lindy gets on his guys for their performance tonight, methinks they bought into their own hype and put some things into cruise control. They had their chances for sure, but there was very little sense of urgency until late in the 2nd. Not good enough. And for the love of God, I really hope I dont hear anymore "Sabres RUuulleeee!!11!1" comments until the series is OVER.

Everything is pretty even steven after 2...almost identical shots on goal. Its going to come down to whether or not the Sabres can capitalize on the momentum they won off that last goal to tie it up. The Sens are playing insanely tough though, Emery looks like he's "on" tonight.

Emery is looking pretty good tonight, Sabres cant squeak anything by him.

It kicks off on May 30th.

By this rate, the Sens will have 60 shots on goal by the end of the game. Sabres GOT to get themselves under control. Good thing is they got through the first, which is generally their worst period...Sabres do play a lot better in the 2nd and 3rd. They have to come out flying and knock the Sens back to kick off the period.

For those who thought the Sabres would just walk away with this game...think again. Sens look great so far. Sabres got to toughen up their game to compete with this pissed off Sens squad.

The 1942 Maple Leafs and 1975 Islanders came back from 0-3 holes to win the series. Ottawa papers are reminding everyone about the Yankees epic collapse against the Red Sox.
