Its not just Miller, the entire team deserves some part of the blame. And hey, I feel REALLY good about the next two games now that JSP is hating on the Sabres and Miller again. Phew! You know we only do good when you're down on the team Joe, start the hatin'!

Sabres had a flashback to the 2002 season. Terrible, just terrible. I'm almost glad this happened, because the Sabres were getting far too arrogant. You arent world beaters, and Carolina can be downright dominant at times as they proved tonight. I feel good that the Sabres will rebound nicely in Game Three and take it, they always come back strong.

There are bad calls for sure, but make no mistake about it...the Sabres were outplayed in this game. They've overcome crappy officiating before, this game they were just flat. Cant blame the refs for EVERYTHING.

Thing is, nobody outside of Sabres fans will believe its bad officiating. People will just see the final score and SOG and see the Sabres got their asses handed to them. I'm not one to blame the refs, I just think the Canes are MUCH better than the Sabres are tonight. If you want to focus your blame, blame the injuries finally adding up and slowing the Sabres down or focus on how difficult it is to win back to back road wins against a #2 seed. Carolina came out with passion, the Sabres came out with a flatline pulse. We'll see how things go in the third.

Its official. The Sabres have crapped the bed. I REALLY hope Lindy Ruff just digs into these guys for Game Three, a very sad performance thus far in Game Two. Sabres need to get read the riot act for this piss-poor effort, they are just being out-played in every aspect (except goaltending) by Carolina.

Ryan Miller cant do it all. He needs SOME help from the offense, really badly. Anything!

Sabres REALLY have to calm things down, Carolina is taking it to them. Even after that PP goal, Carolina kept coming. I know the Sabres love playing rope a dope, but they cant expect to win this game by doing it.

Time to man-up Buffalo...Canes are one of the best teams in the NHL at pouring it on when they have the lead.

Fantastic job to all of those Sabres fans who were at the game. Hopefully we'll see the same during Game Two.

I dont think anyone thought the Sabres were going to be bad against Carolina...but its still a LONG series and the Canes did play very well. Should make for some great hockey.

You have to dig how the Sabres closed the door at the end. That whole bounce back ability was seen in full effect after giving up that foolish shorthanded goal. Still though, lots of things the Sabres can fix. Those brain farts on the PP are still killing us, and we gave them far too many chances towards the end with defensive breakdowns. God, cant I just saw my own leg off and give it to Dmitri so he can get back on the ice? Good news is it probably should have been 5-2 with those close crossbar shots, we took home ice away from them AND the Sabres always tend to adjust very well after getting a look at their opponent in the first game. Great win by the Sabres.

When the Sabres get those rushes going...man, its lights out. Still plenty of game left though...and remember, the Canes have freaky powers late in games. Time to man up!

Isnt that exactly what we want though? Melrose has picked against us the entire playoffs and look how well we've done. I LOVE to see the national media continue to downplay the Sabres. Man, I wish I could go. I see that you can still easily get tickets to the first two games in Carolina, I just checked Ticketmaster and saw oodles of empty seats. Hopefully they'll be filled with Sabres fans!

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...I get it! The whole point of the commercial is to show that WGR REALLY needs comedy writers. And a dose of humility.

Now maybe its because I'm a younger (24) and became a Bills fan in the late 80s when I was a kid, but I've honestly never even heard of Steve Freeman. I like to consider myself someone who has dived head first into Bills history, and I know all about the great ones who came before my time...but yeah, never heard of Steve Freeman before, he was the only person on the list I wasnt familiar with. And that kinda shocked me that there was a Bill I knew nothing about.

I find it hilarious that we're more willing to forgive a murderer than we are a Patriot-lover like Smerlas. That being said, I voted Smerlas off first too...
