  1. And the Sabres begin their march towards the Cup. Great win to set the tone for the season.
  2. I like Buster Davis, and he does actually have that London Fletcher mold...but come on, its not like Posluszny is a slouch. The guy is a beast and deserves the recognition he got. Just look at the numbers he has put up in his college career, even before the 2006 season. 31 games played. 256 tackles. 26 tackles for a loss. 6 sacks. 7 passes broken up. 3 interceptions. Compare that with Davis who has actually played one more game than Posluszny did before this 2006 season. Davis has 32 games played. 156 tackles. 19.5 tackles for a loss. 3 sacks. 6 passes broken up and 0 interceptions. They are both good, but Posluszny is a step above the other LBs currently playing college ball right. He'll be even better as the season progresses the after effects of the injury wears off. That being said...wouldnt mind the Bills drafting either...but I'd rather it be Posluszny if given a choice.
  3. Depending on what happens with Takeo or if we can re-sign London Fletcher, I'd love to see us go after Paul Posluszny, the LB from Penn State in next year's draft. I see us picking in the 8-14 area, which is probably where we could nab him. Something about this guy just screams dominant NFL linebacker for the next decade. Intense, a true leader on the Defense...would be a great addition to our faster, younger Cover 2.
  4. You know, a lot of people wanted Sherman to be the new head coach of the... Oh forget it.
  5. Yo fo' schnizzle, the Bills aint down with it for E$PN! No jacked up for them! BOO-YEAH! *inserts flashy and pointless animation*
  6. I've been looking for that as well...hope there is a video floating around.
  7. I'd like to believe...but the Bears just look absolutely impossible to beat right now. Especially at home.
  8. Nope...gotta complain about something.
  9. John Tait And Kelsey Grammer
  10. If you want to check out Andre going on the wall of fame, they posted the video of it on BB.com Pretty groovy stuff, wish I could have been there for it.
  11. Bears are looking LIGHTS OUT right now...they look downright dominant in my eyes.
  12. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-s...ov=ap&type=lgns Isaiah Kacyvenski was cut today from the Seahawks squad since they needed better RB depth with Alexander down. Now normally I dont post these "OMGZ, SOMONEZ GOT CUTT!!1!! WE GOTTA SIGN HIM" threads, but keep this in mind... Our ILB depth isnt great right now with only DiGiorgio backing up London Fletcher. He's a former starter AND the Hawks special team captain. He's from Syracuse. He went to Harvard. So to summarize...a special teams ace from Western New York who went to Harvard? Thats the ultimate Marv Levy player. Now this is meant partly as a joke, but I dont think anyone could complain if he did end up here.
  13. I put it off for a few hours but I finally had to look...and I cant...stop...laughing. I still say that the original NJSue currency exchange thread is simply the best thread ever posted on ANY message board. By the end of that, I was in tears.
  14. For those looking for a sign, our old pal John Clayton gave this description of the game: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...john&id=2597090 3. New York Jets at Buffalo Bills The Bills' victory over the Dolphins last week came out of nowhere. The Bills generated only 171 yards of offense. Quarterback J.P. Losman passed for only 83 yards. But credit Dick Jauron for getting his young defense fired up and keeping pressure on Dolphins quarterback Daunte Culpepper all game. The Jets are riding the surgically repaired shoulder of Chad Pennington on offense. He gives them hope. Though he doesn't throw the deep ball, Pennington moves the chains. The Patriots shut him out until the third quarter last week, but Pennington hung in there and generated 17 second-half points to show the Jets have some fight. Jauron has a knack of getting solid execution from his teams. Though the Bills have a lot of holes and probably won't have a winning season, the defense showed a lot of progress in the Dolphins' victory. If there was EVER a sign we are going to have a winning season, we just got it.
  15. We need to plan something for all of us. Balance out all of the Giants love in the area.
  16. Thought I'd join in this conversation just to complete the Clifton Park-Burnt Hills-Clifton Park sandwich. If you are currently living off of exits 8-11, you cant post! I voted for run the ball, by the way. It works, its effective, and we look good doing it.
  17. It would definitely surprise me. We are still a year away, plenty of spots to feel good about but we still need improvement to be considered playoff-ready. Not trying to piss in anyone's corn flakes here but one win in Miami doesnt make us SB bound. We got the Jets coming up who are playing great to start the season...hopefully the boys are up to the challenge and will take em out.
  18. You gotta love it! All of you who are going...do us proud!
  19. *Thumbs Up* Great news for us...bad news for the Jets.
  20. Whooo! Tecmo Superbowl lives!
  21. Well the first we get to see of the Sabres... http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/boxscore;_ylt=...?gid=2006091821 4-0 Shutout over the Leafs.
  22. All day reading this board, thats the one quote that keeps popping in my head.
  23. I'm still convinced that if Welker EVER makes it to free agency, he's in a Buffalo Bills uniform the next day. Especially if Marv is still the GM, no doubt in my mind. Seems like Welker is a Buffalo Bill trapped in Miami.
  24. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/9666800 I especially like this: The Bills seemed to be one step ahead of the Dolphins offense, which is interesting considering the Dolphins offensive coordinator is Mike Mularkey, who was let go as Bills coach last January. "How salty do you think Mularkey would have been if they had been shut out?" Bills left tackle Mike Gandy asked Bills right tackle Jason Peters in the locker room after the game "Pretty salty," Peters said. AND this: When some look at this score and look at how the Bills got to Culpepper seven times and flirted with a shutout, they might ask an obvious question. Who the heck are these guys? If they didn't blow a lead at New England last week, they'd really be saying it. "I know people are asking that," Whitner said. "I think there are a lot of people thinking who are these guys. I think they're probably wondering who the Buffalo Bills are. To almost shut out the Miami Dolphins at home has to have people wondering about us. Games like this will go a long way in getting them to pay attention."
