The Jets did try to sign the Steelers Guard earlier in the day however, so clearly Moore could have been had. Oh well, another miss.

Sadly, I agree. I cant imagine why he'd pick us over Miami. Coles was born in Florida, Pennington is there and the Fins are a rising AFC power who plays his old team twice a year so he can stick it to them. Plus, Bill Parcells is a heck of recruiting tool. We, on the other hand, have Mighty Taco.

Agreed. Something to keep an eye on though...Brian Waters out of KC has asked for his ticket out of town. Guy is a Pro Bowler and probably could be had for a 2nd round draft pick. Just stirring the pot.

He's young too, would be able to actually hold down a Center spot for years as opposed to just being a temporary band-aid. Thats why I'm kinda iffy on bringing in a guy like Birk, he's insanely talented but the guy is 33. He's got what...one? Two years left in the tank? Brown would be my first choice obviously, but if the bidding on him gets too outrageous then Hangartner seems to be a good solution to our problem.

When I first created this account, I was doing a work-study on the island of Malta in the city of Zabbar. Since then I moved back home (Saratoga Springs) and now by a strange twist of fate I'm in Orchard Park, NY while my girlfriend gets her masters out here. Brandon Moore got released today by the NY Jets. He wasnt getting released because he wasnt any good, but because the Jets so royally screwed their salary cap last season, they had to do something to get themselves in decent cap space going into FA. Moore is a mauling guard, excellent at both run and pass blocking. He was scheduled to have his salary increase from 2.3 million a year to a whopping 7 million, so the Jets cut him loose. Think of it this way though, we were paying Derrick "Who?" Dockery 7 million to stare at DTs while they blew past him. Offer Moore the same and he's ours.
