  1. All they did was take the Buffalo News report that came out this morning about how Peters SHOULD get a new contract.
  2. Which, in order to get we'd have to give up a 2nd or 3rd rounder anyways. Why not get the already developed TE with a 3rd if thats what they end up asking for instead of hoping one of those rookie TEs develop?
  3. I've heard "things" that he'll sign with Miami by tonight.
  4. Side note story. A friend of mine was traveling in Thailand last summer and he wandered into this thrift clothes store. They had a section of American t-shirts and he found a 1991 Buffalo Bills Superbowl Champion shirt. He later told me he didnt buy it for me because he thought I'd either hate him for mocking me with something that never was, or it would be the opposite situation and I'd wear it nonstop.
  5. God no, he'd squash my eggs.
  6. If he's got to sign anywhere else other then here, lets hope its Detroit so he can stay out of the AFC East.
  7. Man, I seriously thought Clayton was going to be the next "elite" WR in the NFL. I was telling everyone who would listen when he came out of college, and gloated all the way through his fantastic rookie season. Then...open mouth...insert foot. I still cant tell what happened to the guy, even the injuries he suffered through shouldnt have derailed his career that badly. Also to put that inflated contract into perspective...Josh Reed has twice as many TDs then Michael Clayton has since 2005.
  8. Must we bring up the coconut bra picture as proof?
  9. Wow, this is kinda freaky. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/01/...at-in-distress/ http://www.abcactionnews.com/news/local/st...kSanyO4BZA.cspx
  10. I feel much better knowing that my insanity is accepted among friends here.
  11. What I like about the original report was that the Broncos were the ones going around trying to ship Scheffler. That means they took all the guesswork out of it for our FO. Anything to simplify things for the boys at One Bills Drive, I'm all in favor of. If we left it up to our front office to find us a TE on their own, they'd be combing through huge binders screaming "Is Alfred Pupunu still in the league? Well Chrissakes Modrak, you're supposed to know these things!"
  12. Now this is probably nothing, but if you look under the Jerseys section under the Shopzone, they have all of the current Bills jerseys for the regular price of 80 bucks. If you check out the Clearance items though, they have JP's and Dockery's jersey in there for 35 bucks or something like that. So even though JP is a FA, they dumped his jerseys into the sin bin. Crowell however is also a FA, but his jersey still runs 80 bucks and is listed with the rest of the active team. I know, I know...I'm totally reading more into this then there is, but hey...could be a sign that the Bills want to bring Crowell back. I feel like such a bandwidth pirate for posting this.
  13. Yes please. If the Broncos want a 3rd rounder, give it up and be done with it. Anything higher then that though, and I'd move on. Thats exactly the type of TE we need. Young, athletic and sure hands. Of course I suppose you could say that every team in the NFL needs that.
  14. I dont think money has anything to do with it. I just cant imagine Coles WANTING to come here when a team like Miami would gladly take him. Lets compare the pros of his decision. Pros for playing in Miami ---------------------- Return home to the state of Florida Re-unite with good friend and starting QB Chad Pennington Play for AFC East Champion Work with Bill Parcells Money Pros for playing in Buffalo ------------------------ Money I'm not a guy who thinks the Bills dont spend money. They definitely do, and they'll get their share of FAs this year (wait until tomorrow when they announce...oops, cant say that yet... ) but I dont see any incentive for Coles to choose Buffalo over Miami
  15. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/01/...ls-or-dolphins/ Although nothing REALLY groundbreaking in the article, it does mention a decision could come as early as today. Doesnt really matter, he's not coming to Buffalo. I think he's always planned on going home to Florida and being with his buddy Chad. I think his visit here was, just as the Daily News speculated, just for appearances and to perhaps get an idea where to start his contract negotiations with Miami. Sorry, but methinks we're going to have another "F THE BILLS, THE FO SUXORS!!!1!" post explosion tonight once news hits he's signed with Miami.
  16. I keep forgetting Ray Brown is on our coaching staff.
  17. I stand firmly behind my statement Dont be surprised if the Fins announce they've signed Coles by 6pm tonight.
  18. I'll bet this shiny Papermate pen thats sitting in front of me that Coles is in Miami right now. He's not coming to Buffalo, I guarantee it.
  19. No...yeah...he's great Jets fans, you totally need to sign him. http://blogs.trb.com/sports/football/jets/..._tight_end.html
  20. Derrick Dockery would disagree.
  21. There were reports yesterday that San Francisco was very interested in him.
  22. I think a lot of it depends on whether or not the Bills can get themselves a decent Guard in FA. If nothing happens, we might see them shift Hangartner over to LG and draft one of the top centers. Still a lot of FA left, so its hard to tell.
  23. They did bring in Drayton Florence for a look the day before FA started. I wouldnt be surprised to see them sign a CB.
  24. Whoa there, thats a mighty lofty statement you just made. But...I think you're right.
