I'd have no problem with Ingram in the 2nd or 3rd round. Kid has some freakish talent -

Informed Speculation - Buffalo Rumblings

Ugh, I'd hate if the Bills were forced to draft an OT to replace Peters, thereby wasting yet another draft pick. Just pay the man! Knowing the Bills, they wont trade him either. He'll just sit on the roster, festering...while we waste our first rounder on an OT, be forced to draft an OG with the 2nd and yet again ignore TE. -
Lou Saban 1921-2009

Very sad news. I'm a newish Bills fan due to my age (only climbing aboard in the late 80s), but I know my Bills history and Lou did an amazing job for this city and team. RIP Lou. -
Hey, the stole my 2nd and 3rd rounders! Awesome draft through, would be very happy if that happened.

Honestly this is one of the few RBs they have brought in this offseason that has made any sense. Special teamer, clearly a 3rd RB at best. Exactly what we need when Marshawn gets his wrist slapped with the ruler. He'll spell Jackson during the first few (1,2,3,4) games and then he'll help out on special teams. Perfect, move on.

NFL Draft Countdown Great Blue North Draft Report -
Brannan Southerland is a MONSTER blocker, I've been hoping he flies under the radar for the Bills to nab him in the 6th or 7th round. The only knock on this guy is that he's had some issues with injuries over the last year, and unfortunately he was recovering from surgery for a large part of his senior year. BUT, the guy has great hands out of the backfield and just demolishes defenders with his sickening lead blocks. Plus, he has played against top notch competition his entire career and still did a great job. Check out a few of these clips. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWXLG3K_aOI The one above is fantastic, he knocks two guys completely out of the play. And just to get a better idea on what type of guy he is, here is an interview with him from this season.

Ralph died and then was resurrected while I slept? Crazy... ...still though, thats the NFL offseason on Bills boards for you. So many people wanting attention they'll stoop to some incredible lows to get them.

But...we're bringing in Maurice Hicks for a visit on Monday! Take that Buffalo writers!

Reasons For Teams To Trade Up To Us
BillsGuyInMalta replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
100% agree. The Lions have already said they want to build around their top draft picks. If they can use the #1 overall on Curry, well then there's the defensive monster you can win games and sell jerseys with. If they wait until the #20 rolls around, the best they can hope for is a solid, but albeit not-elite OT to work with. Can you build around a player like that? Sure...BUT it may be smarter for them to trade up to #11 with Buffalo, grab a QB that is available or get a stud OT. I really think they are hoping a QB falls to around that area, that way you can build an offense around him AND continue to market him to your fans. Its tough to market OTs, as valuable as they are. But the Lions need to win back their fanbase, drafting the top OLB and a top QB would be a great way to do it. I could see a trade like this happening. -
Freeman is surging up the boards lately, a la Jason Campbell and Alex Smith in years past. My problem with the trade is that it makes zero sense for the Jets. Why would the Jets leapfrog to 11 when none of the teams in-between would take Freeman? Denver, Washington, New Orleans, Houston and San Diego all have established starters. True, Cutler is making a fuss in Denver and that could spice things up, but I seriously doubt they waste their #1 pick on a guy who could possibly start if Cutler maybe decides to hold out. I'm all in favor of trading down, but a more realistic trade partner would be the Bears one pick below the Jets. If Dirty Sanchez and Stafford go in the top 10, the Bills could really hold a team over the coals for picks.

I can safely say that Ellison will not start this upcoming season. The Bills are playing it smart in terms of their OLB status. They'll wait until the draft and see what develops, if a guy like Everette Brown falls into their laps at 11, they'll take him and sign June or Keiaho after the draft. LB is really deep right now in FA and in the draft, so it would be foolish to rush a decision. Ellison is fine as a backup and special teams player, but I cant stand to watch him get bowled over by RBs week after week.
-
The Broncos would be foolish to expect that, by the time the Giants traded Shockey he had already made 4 Pro Bowls in his career. Scheffler has gone to the Pro Bowl exactly zero times. The highest pick I would give for Scheffler would be a third round conditional pick that COULD turn into a 2nd if he makes the Pro Bowl next year.

Amazing Job! Although I have to admit, I was hoping that you had put together a history of the "posters" on TBD. An entire section on ICE's ramblings or the epic Sue's homework thread would have made this day complete
-
Man, we really need to get this guy. Offer up a 3rd this year or a conditional pick next year that could go as high as a 2nd if he makes the Pro Bowl and be done with it.
-
Clumpy, can you help us out on this one? I seriously hope the Bills fill their OLB or TE hole before entering the draft,
-
Hey, Thurman and Chris Brown said we werent done yet in FA!!!!! Guess...this...is...what...they...meant...
-
Ugh, this is from Chris Brown on BB.com Thomas has also played outside linebacker in his career, so if the report is accurate Thomas could be viewed as a potential replacement for Angelo Crowell who just signed with Tampa Bay earlier today. Please no, come on Bills...you can do waaaaaay better
-
I'm okay with this move for depth purposes, NOT for starting material. If the Bills continue to look for OLB help, then all is well.
