  1. I do, but he prefers that you text him.
  2. Hahaha, oh man...I love Bills fans.
  3. The last line of the trailer had me rolling.
  4. The linebackers available in free agency are pretty deep. Guys like Freddie Keiaho, Derrick Brooks, Marcus Washington and Rosevelt Colvin are still available. The Bills are clearly going to plow through the draft before they make any more FA moves.
  5. I dont know, I just dont see this trade happening. I feel like the Bills could have pulled the trigger on this a month ago but instead are probably going to wait until after the draft before they do anything. I personally hate the waiting game. No TE the Bills could draft in the 3rd is as good as Scheffler is now.
  6. PFT is now reporting that the Matthews steroid accusation is false. Damn Pete, beat me to it!
  7. and from the man himself: http://tightend.blogspot.com/2009/04/24-hr...d-counting.html The guy is more of a blocking TE though, cant really provide too much receiving threat.
  8. Could you imagine the HATRED on this board if the Bills gave up 2 first rounders and a 3rd?
  9. Damn, I was hoping he could help us if we ended up trading Peters. Ah well
  10. True, true. Makes draft day all the more fun!
  11. The Broncos are now likely to spend their #12 overall pick on a QB. Thats fantastic news for the Bills who sit at #11, if any of the QBs slide and teams like the Jets, Tampa Bay, Minnesota or Detroit (if they didnt take a QB #1 overall) want a QB, they'll have to jump in front of Denver now. Really gives us a lot of leverage for a trade down if that turns out to be our best option.
  12. Good news for us, keeps him out of the AFC East.
  13. Raise your hand if you just want all of this to end...
  14. We'll see Jay Cutler a lot over the next few years! Unfortunately it will be with the Jets...
  15. No, YOU take your damn jacket back!
  16. No complaints here with that plan.
  17. I would imagine that 9 million dollars a year with incentives is a hell of a raise for a guy who went undrafted. He'd be one of the highest paid LTs in the NFL and get his money situation set for life. Peters apparently rejected that contract. I would say the Bills HAVE attempted to pay him, but Peters brushed them off. I do agree with your point though that the Bills have to plan a little bit better on who they want to keep. They have done a bit better at that over the last few years, but that new philosophy has seen them whiff on a few contract extensions (see Kelsay, Chris).
  18. I just dont think keeping Peters on the roster while he holds out again and we end up using a backup 6th round journeyman protecting our QB's blindside is a much better idea. I would imagine we all would like to keep Peters, but 12 million a year? Come on. If he accepts 9 million with incentives, then I'm all for it...but I doubt that happens. Time to make plans for life without Jason if he continues to be this stubborn.
  19. I was just trying to be realistic with the draft. I dont think Brown, Orakpo, Raji or Curry will be available when we pick at #11, so I went with players who should be around at that point. Trust me, if any of those guys make it to 11, the whole mock changes pretty quickly.
  20. Absolutely I would take that deal with those players involved. This whole Peters deal is just getting insane. The guy isnt going to budge from this asking price, he's made that clear. His agent has made that clear. I'm actually a very big Jason Peters fan but I can also read the writing on the wall. He wants somewhere in the neighborhood of 12 million dollars a year, and the Bills just cant sacrifice that much money to one player. Thats what got us into salary cap hell all those years ago and started this wonderful drought. What scares me the most is what I unfortunately think is going to happen. The Bills WONT trade him before the draft, but they'll draft his replacement anyway (thereby wasting a draft pick) and then go into training camp with him holding out and a rookie at Tackle. Maybe Peters shows up Week 1. Maybe he shows up Week 10. Either way, he'll play sloppy (either because he's out of shape for missing camp or because he just doesnt care until he gets his money) and we'll end up going through ALL of this again in 2010 offseason. If Philly is willing to take on this headache right now, I say hand him over. I am beyond frustrated with Peters at this point.
  21. If the Eagles offered me a 1st and a 3rd for Peters right now, I'd take it. I'd then draft in the first three rounds: 1a) Brandon Pettigrew, TE out of Oklahoma State 1b) Andre Smith, OT out of Alabama 2) Clint Sintim, OLB out of Virginia 3a) Herman Johnson, OG out of LSU 3b) Lawrence Sidbury, DE out of Richmond
  22. The Bills have gaping holes at LG, OLB, TE and need for a pass rushing DE. Can all of those positions (3, possibly 4 starters) all be found in the draft? I'm not denying that the Bills could use their first rounder on a guy like Curry, Matthews, etc and fill the OLB spot. Of course they can. But then there are still 3 starting spots that need to be filled. The Bills have too many holes and not enough draft picks to fill them, they need to start bringing in some FAs to fill this void.
  23. Uhhh...hello Buffalo? You want to maybe improve your LB corps BEFORE the draft? You know, so that way you can use the picks on the other need positions on the team? I dont understand why they cant just sign Freddie Keiaho. Worse comes to worse, we have better depth.
