  1. I honestly forgot he was a free agent. Would be a fine complement to Jackson for those first three games.

  3. I'm just excited that now that I live in the area, I can finally meet all you fine individuals at the Tailgate this year. Only took me 6 years to meet y'all.
  4. Whats interesting about this trade is that if the Chiefs do trade Gonzo to the Falcons, the best they can hope for is a 2nd rounder. Now Pettigrew has been long projected to either our pick at #11 or to Atlanta at #24. If the Falcons get Gonzo, there is a great chance that Pettigrew could slide to our pick in the 2nd round. Possible. Sure. Likely? Who knows. Whats even better is that the Chiefs dont HAVE a 2nd rounder, so we dont have to worry about them grabbing him at the 35th spot to replace Gonzo either.
  5. Cheap. Can play special teams. Thats why. I know, I know...they're not GOOD reasons, but they are reasons.
  6. If they do end up trading Peters, that would be a very nice draft. I especially like Cook in the 5th, I'm not sure if he's going to last that late but he's going to be a damn good player in the NFL. Nice work!
  7. Any idea if the Pro Football Weekly's 2009 Draft Preview book is out in stores? I went looking for it today at Borders and Barnes & Nobles and couldnt find it anywhere.
  8. I was REALLY hoping he would have shown up for the name calling.
  9. Oh man, we need to sticky this thread.
  10. Please Lord, take me now. We've truly reached new lows here at The Wall this offseason.
  11. Herman Johnson is going to be a Pro Bowler within 3 years IMO. He's Marcus McNeil, Version 2.0. Right before McNeil was drafted, everyone was worried the guy was just going to be "too big" for the NFL, even though in college he proved he could keep it under control. McNeil lasted until the 50th pick in Round 2 during the 2006 Draft, and all he's done since then is take home several All Pro and Pro Bowl awards. What amazes me about Johnson is that people are complaining he's too big...to play Guard! I can understand the doubts if he was playing tackle like McNeil does (even though I've seen the guy play, he's got the talent to be a RT), but as a mauling guard you'd figure teams would love a guy his size there. Whatever team takes Herman Johnson WILL be drafting the next stud Offensive Guard in the NFL.
  12. Ugh. You go to your room for that pun, and you think about what you did.
  13. Thanks for the update Tim. Individual disorderly conduct in a crowded nightclub that was already at a "near riot" state would strike me as a hard case to prove.
  14. I feel this graph is appropriate for this thread.
  15. Alright, I got to share something. After reading this blurb from Tim's article: "Whitner began swinging his arms in a violent manner and, when restrained by officers, he broke free and took a fighting stance" ...a fighting stance? What is this, Street Fighter? Did he break into this stance?
  16. *SNAP* Awwwwww dayyyuum, itssss onnnnn now! Sorry, I like to instigate.
  17. The Bills already brought him in for a look-see a few weeks back. Its not a terrible option, but I'd love to see if Warrick Dunn has anything left. Good football player, better human being.
  18. I cant wait for it myself, you know his description of the events are going to be hilarious.
  19. Disorderly conduct is a violation in NY State Law. Aggravated disorderly conduct is a Class A Misdemeanor. Now, what constitutes "aggravated" is up to the police officer and judges. Honestly, if the club was that crazy as described in the report, its going to be hard to prove that Donte took a "fighting stance" to any judge. So odds are it'll just come down to a violation. This is all under NY state law of course and could hold no bearing since it happened in Ohio.
  20. Are you kidding me? There is a huge difference between having fun and getting arrested outside of the House of Blues in 3am for resisting police officers. I've been to a bunch of places in Buffalo where I've seen Bills and Sabres players having fun at 2 or 3 in the morning in the bars and clubs. Sweet, no problems there. But picking fights with police officers? Is that whats considered "fun"? At some point, regardless of whether you play professional sports for a living or not, common sense has GOT to kick in. Its not a question of fun, its a question of stupidity.
  21. Not for a first time offense and misdemeanors he wont. Still, its frustrating to be a fan of guys who cant control themselves.
  22. Aggravated Disorderly Conduct is a misdemeanor, just FYI. Well...it is in NYS anyway.
  23. COME ON! Seriously, our team is full of idiots.
  24. *Points down at his mock draft* I've liked Follett for awhile, kid plays like his hair is on fire and just demolishes running backs. His problem, as noted above though, is his pass coverage skills aren't great. I see him as a guy who, if we dont decide on grabbing a LB with our first rounder, could at least push Ellison to up his game and be a great smasher on the special teams unit.
