Nah, he'll be back. Gotta complain bout somethin'

Keith Ellison sucks, but it's not like the Bills can just go out and replace him with a better FA linebacker! ...wait...what's that? Derrick Brooks is a FA? And Marcus Washington? And Boss Bailey? ...huh...

Why all the hating?

Mark my words: Bobby April will be head coach of this team before the season is done. -
Definitely showed a lot of intensity. Showed the same thing in camp when I visited last week as well. Rarely do those with that level of passion fail to stick with a team.

Pro Football Central is NOT a reliable site. They're the same guys who spread that wildly inaccurate John Henderson to the Bills rumor awhile back, they never get any "scoops"...it's all just informed guessing and scouring KFFL for the latest news updates to create the illusion they are breaking news.

Anyone notice the velocity

I don't think that Levitre getting shoved into Edwards' arm caused the INT though, I'll have to re-watch the footage but it looked like he got it off before Levitre hit him. Doesn't change much though...D-Pressure caused that INT no matter how you look at it. -
Just a thought, but what about Kendall Simmons? I know we brought him in for a visit during the first week of FA...I wonder how he's doing physically. If he's ready to go, I'd love to see the Bills bring him in and plug him in at Guard until Levitre gets his leverage under control. Odds are good though that Simmons must be hurt pretty badly if he hasn't signed on with anyone yet.

Levitre did get abused early on the first series of his NFL career but did show progress (granted, against backups).

You can't stop Mort's kid! He's on fire!
-
Bruce Hall is sure making a statement in this game. Muffed punt and 2 carries for 0 yards.
-
Chroise = 100% accurate so far.
-
Weird story, I live in Shaud William's old apartment. I still get his mail from time to time.
-
Levitre got knocked back into him...pretty hard to step up with a throw when your guard is chucked at you. Thats going to be the story all preseason and early season long unfortunately until Levitre learns to play with NFL leverage.
-
Meh...so far this team has shown me exactly what we already know. The O-Line needs a lot of work, our backup QB's range is 5-10 yards and we can't get any pressure. Unfortunately, not all of that can change by the end of preseason game #5 if we keep the same staff in place.
-
I was thinking the same thing myself...seems like it was "technically" a no huddle, just without the speed.

If I ever get arrested for a crime, thats the alias I'm giving. So keep your eyes out on the police blotter! -

Well were going to see this weekend
BillsGuyInMalta replied to K-Gun10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Odds are he'll do the same this weekend, our backups aren't very...competent? I suppose that's the nice way of putting it. That being said, when the real bullets start flying during the regular season at poor Vince Young (if he ever manages to start) he will fold like an umbrella. -

Depth purposes since Linquist left the team (and subsequently waived). He'll be gone by the end of camp. -
Marshall Faulk showing Andre some love for HOF

The fact that Dan Hampton is in the Hall and Richard Dent is not still amazes me. And I think everyone is in agreement that Reed will eventually get in, I havent really seen or read anyone claiming he doesn't deserve a spot. I am slightly annoyed that Art Monk got in before Reed, even though Reed had better stats than him in every single major receiving category. Art Monk belongs in the Hall of Very Good, not the Hall of Fame. -
I remember when Andre was drafted and someone in his living room had a baby in their lap. The minute he was drafted the room exploded with cheers but the kid was crying her eyes out because of the sudden loud noises from her family. All I could think of was "Kid...if I were a Bengal fan, I'd be crying too"

I admit it...I chuckled a bit during the video when the returner went right at the ref...and the referee refused to move.

Few practice notes for today (8/5)
BillsGuyInMalta replied to BillsGuyInMalta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sadly, I didn't notice anything about McCargo good or bad. I've heard he's been having one heck of a camp so it could have just been a ho-hum practice for the big guy. A couple of funny things I forgot to mention though. Eric Wood was out a good 20 minutes before practice again (accompanied for some strange reason with Shaine Smith) and Wood eventually wandered over to the goal posts. He then proceeded to punch the goal posts for a minute and then head butted it. Strange, violent man... Bobby April was hilarious all day, screaming all sorts of wonderful profanities that i'm sure the parents who brought their kids to camp must have absolutely loved to hear. At one point he asked Marcus Buggs (after Buggs whiffed on an INT) if Vandy ever beat another team in the SEC. I managed to snag two really funny pictures as well. One has this giant positional drill going on with I'd say at least 30 players on offense and defense participating...and standing on the outskirts of it all is Brian Moorman just watching. It's almost as if he's saying "Hey...guys...can I uh...play too?". Another good one is a side by side picture of Marcus Stroud and Roscoe Parrish, it really looks as if Marcus brought his kid into work with him. -
So I made it out to Rochester today, great weather...great people...very nice experience at camp all around. As for the play on the field, a couple of "quick hits" that I noticed. I paid a lot of attention to the O-Line for obvious reasons. --Roscoe Parrish is doing everything he possibly can to make an impact and be noticed. Whether its making behind the back catches or darting across the middle for extra yardage, he was really giving it all this practice. --Fitzpatrick had a pretty decent day throwing the ball, even managed to roll out and avoid pressure to gain what would have been a first down. Edwards' passes look good, nothing really spectacular to report from this camp since they seem to practice a lot of underneath and dump off passes. --Shawn Nelson practiced with the first string. Take it for what it's worth. On individual drills he did get beat badly while pass blocking by Chris Ellis, but then came back the next play and stood him up. He's going to need some time. --Demetrius Bell didn't look very good on the individual drills, letting Kelsay get around him twice. During the "scrimmage" portion of the practice he more than held his own though. --Same goes with Levitre...struggled a bit with the drills that allow the advantage to go to the rushing D-player, but looked very good with 7 on 7. --Wood is a friggin monster with a capital MON. He stood up Marcus Stroud all day, even getting big Marcus to chuckle when he couldn't get past the rookie on individual drills. This kid looked amazing. --Props to Langston Walker who was a wall during the entire practice, didn't let anyone get by him. I didn't notice anything about Hangartner, didn't get beat badly but didn't knock anyone on their butt either. --Chris Ellis surprised me, looked really quick coming off the edge and looks to have gotten much bigger than last year. --Ugh, Keith Ellison on the other hand was exactly as I remembered him last year. Got demolished on a few run blocking drills (knocked completely off his feet by Walker). --The practice MVPs however were both OLBs, Ashlee Palmer and Nic Harris. Both Poz and Mitchell had the day off so they were rotated into the starting lineup often. Not only were they all over the field during their scrimmage play (with Palmer creating a lot of backfield chaos on running plays) but they looked fantastic during the drills. Harris had this one handed amazing INT and then scooted down the field with no one in front of him, and Palmer picked off two passes during the endzone drills. Very impressed with both of them, hopefully they'll show some flashes during the preseason. As I said, very good practice and as usual St. John Fisher put on a good show. I'm still worried about the O-Line with some of the younger guys struggling against larger opponents. It's still early in camp though, so we'll see. Love our receivers though and I'm (shockingly) more confident in our LB crew.

I'll be at camp tomorrow so I'll be sure to focus on him throughout the day and report back.
