  1. I was in a huge discussion at Sears talking TV's. This question has come up several times in the past. Is it better to leave a computer on all the time, or turn it off. The reason being I have always been told the hardest on a tv is turning it off and on, because the bulbs had to heat and cool. What about newer sets, LCD, which is what a laptop is, DLP, etc. He kept referring to the fact that the new sets have a bulb life of 3-5,0000 hrs. depending on if it was being turned off and on. 5,000 IF IT WAS LEFT ON. Any input? Also mentioned about a bulb in the Smithsonian institute that was never turned off and is still on, but the one that has been turned on and off has been replaced several times.
  2. Yeah- I know.. There is alot of pain to go with the win streak right now. But some draft picks are starting to look good. The coaching staff seems in place. I personally have been screaming for this guy's head. Just have to give credit where credit is due- and it is due. If I'm TD I ride this wave straight to the bank.
  3. If they finish 10-6, I'll throw some Frank's hot sauce all over a bowl of crow and gobble it down.
  4. Let me be first in line to eat a large bowl of crow. The way the Bills are playing now. I thought this guy was as gone as spring. Better renew that contract this off-season. Donahoe's Future Secured: What a difference two months make. When the Bills were 1-5 it appeared that Tom Donahoe's job may be in jeoparday. The recent surge has caused Ralph Wilson to say that Donahoe can stay in Buffalo indefinitely. Donahoe has also said he wants his job in Buffalo to be his last. His contract runs through the 2005 season but the owner plans on talking to Donahoe in the off season about an extension
  5. And two things stand out here-my girlfriend who is a die hard Steeler fan pointed out ( while laughing at your Pissburgh) that since they beat the Patiots they would have home field. The other obvious point is NOBODY wants to play the Bills right now......
  6. loosing to the Steelers, saying they will be playing for home field. Has Jags going in @ 9-7, winning the tie-breaker. All the more reson for us to finish 10-6, and get in.
  7. That's all in our favor, I'm ready.
  8. We should have known better.....
  9. I hope this guy gets a chance to play TE today, catches a pass and shows his ability. So far the only time I have heard his name called was on a penalty. Kick some ass today Jason.
  10. Excellent. This kind of running would make a rookie quaterback's transition much easier.
  11. Wow how this rivalry has diminished over the years. Living in Florida this was extremely bitter- downright nasty. I had hosted Bills - Dolphins games twice a year for ten years straight. It was better than Christmas, fans and friends gathering , bitching, bar bq's, and of course mounds of alcohol. When Kelly retired, so did the parties. Damn I miss those days, and when asked to take a bus ride Sunday I declined. It just wouldn't be the same, particularly this season with the Dolphins stinking up the league!!!
  12. Being a Bills fan there has always been no return game. This is great. Every time the ball is in the air, either a punt or kickoff it is great to watch. Finally other teams cringe, and you know watch hours of tape. Bobby April you are indeed great at what you do. At this point of the season, I feel safe to say this is no fluke. Terrence McGee has been a diamond in the rough. This coaching staff is coming together. The begining of the season was hard to watch. Maybe it all started with the return game. Great field position makes everything better.
  13. Thank you- step 2 did it. I knew I could get help here !
  14. didn't work, driving me nuts.....
  15. My girlfriend used my computer to order some Christmas gifts now everytime I open anything it is in a small window and needs to be maximized. I've tried, help.
  16. And I think that is the plan unless they started 0-4. But that won't happen.(I pray).
  17. I think if Bledsoe got hurt, you would see Mathews. Losman is for sure win situations, bringing him along slowly. Would be nice to see him play a full quater.
  18. 14 years-WOW, savor the moment!!
  19. Excellent point except- Why does it take 7 years to develop the lines -which we still do not have?? The bottom line is TD is paid to bring this team back to contention, which he has not done. Not even close. Would your boss continue to pay you big bucks if you didn't do your job? We are still rebuilding year after year and are still 3-6!
  20. If this is a religion somebody better call an exorsist.
  21. Excuse Me!!! I have been a fan since the 70's, and have followed the Bills through many a losing season. And obviously if I am still here, I am still a true fan. But if you think we are not far away you better take your rose colored glasses and flush them! Throw them overboard if they don't win any big games! Better do something, this is no joke. My pride as a Bill's fan is causing me to explode- unlike you- let's just sit back and wait and watch teams like the Eagles, Patriots, Steelers go from worst to first while we just keep going though head coaches and first round draft picks-Give me a break.
  22. I have to agree. Funny how great the Steelers are without their GM, Offensive Coordinator, and whatever Clements was. And how much better we are with them and Kris Ferris.......
