  1. Now this is bad, seemed like he was our only guy who could run block.
  2. Looking at the replay it appears that he got kicked pretty hard in the leg by the QB when he was tackled. He's back in now so it was obviously not that bad.
  3. Nothing has happened on the feed I'm looking at, must be the next play. Does it look bad?
  4. Just found out he's supposed to be a cornerback, why they have a corner out there trying to catch anything is a mystery to me.
  5. What position does Robey normally play?
  6. Wow!! Defensive stop..Here we go !! Quick score before the half.
  7. Never heard of him before a couple of days ago. He seems to be trying hard, lets see if he can get a score.
  8. Thanks, I said just about the same thing right after it was announced that he would not be able to play or practice for the rest of the preseason. There is really not much sense in starting a rookie in his first NFL game against our most feared opponent with no time to prepare for them. They ought to show it to the whole team. Pin it up somewhere in the locker room.
  9. Secondary spending too long looking at the LOS. Having to catch up to their receivers.
  10. Walking pretty good now, probably got stepped on.
  11. Line looks ok, it's the secondary that's making some pretty basic mistakes.
  12. True, only 16 games but if we lose game 1, we've lost a game. If we win game 1 and lose EJ, we've probably lost the season (again). Maybe it's because our team has been so bad for so long, but if we end up losing the AFC east title this year to the Pats because we lost that 1st game to them, yeah I'd be disappointed but nowhere near as much as I normally am at the end of the regular season.
  13. Could you please post exactly why you disagree instead of simply clipping dialogue form an old film? Thanks. The only reason that I suggested Tuel start is because even though Kolb has much more experience than the others, he really does not look good out there on the field and from what I am reading on this board he is not outshining anyone in camp either. I suppose my point is not so much that Tuel start, but that we really should not throw EJ out there with such little practice and playing time.
  14. This whole thing was suggested by, and completely paid for by the Dolphins.
  15. (Merged form it's own thread) I think that if EJ is not going to be able to play/practice for the rest of the preseason it would be better to to start Jeff Tuel in the 1st game. My reasons are as follows: 1. Do we really want to put the 1st rookie QB we've had in ages who is showing some real season changing talent in against our arch rivals with just a bare minimum of playing/practice time on a knee that just got patched up (Cue shot of Wilfork "accidentally" rolling along the turf toward his leg)? 2. We are not a "lock" to win this game with EJ starting anyhow, even though admittedly I think it would give us a much better chance. Why not give Tuel all the practice snaps possible while EJ is resting his knee and prepare him as best we can for the opener. Then at least we will see exactly what we have in him whether we win or lose. 3. We have to play these guys twice anyhow, and the 2nd game (if we are having a good season) is the usually the most important. He could face them in this game with just about a season of NFL experience behind him and hopefully a completely healed up knee. Anyhow, that's what I think about this, contrasting opinions are welcome.
  16. Dammit Reed...I truly should know better by now
  17. The idea was brought up by Dolphins reps and it is being paid for completely by the teams owner. From what I understand it is because they were never publicly acknowledged by the President after their Super Bowl win in 1972 because then President Nixon was so wrapped up in the Watergate issue that not only weren't they invited to the White House, he never bothered to give them even the phone call after the game that was pretty much standard practice back then although he did send both coaches a telegram some time later. The fact that Nixon never called after the game is a bit surprising given the his history of calling up NFL coaches to submit plays to them (with somewhat less than stellar results).
  18. That strategy was used against Brady with pretty good success by the Giants. He does "eat aggressive, blitzing D's for lunch"...As long as they don't actually get to him. Brady does not want to take a hit......Ever. Once you start knocking him down or getting in his face the "S" falls right off his chest, and he suddenly becomes pretty average. He gets rattled and starts rushing his throws and tossing incompletes and INT's. You know your doing it right when he starts sulking and screaming at his O Line. I'd be a bit more concerned about this when we face guys like Big Ben, he takes the pressure as a challenge and still tries to make plays even though he knows he's going to get hit, kinda like Farve used to back in the day. When we face the Pats I'd be most concerned about our run D, he'll try to pick up easy 1st downs on the ground against our blitzes if our linebackers are not sharp.
