  1. Good for you. Is it really that little prep to become a certified HS official in California?
  2. Any list that has Patriots fans in the top 25 is null and void. I’m not sure if we’re the smartest, but I’m certain those morons from Mass. are the dumbest.
  3. True, it's been a long time since the hit on top flight WR. Unfortunately I think Wilson is going to be even better than good. He reminds me of Steph Diggs, but more explosive.
  4. It's a good point that Payton doesn't fit the model, if we're looking for someone other than McD to put the Bills over the top. Payton is also in his first year with Denver, so not likely to be avaiable in the next 2 to 3 years. And it's unlikely he will coach another team after the Broncos, no matter how it goes in Denver. I believe that sticking with our current coach, GM & QB combo gives the Bills the best chance to win a Super Bowl in the next 4.2 years.
  5. Thanks for the hint. Even though I'm only Reks Ryan and not a genius like someone else on this board, pretty sure I know who it is.
  6. I have seen a few references / jokes on this topic on TSW in the last week. But I missed the initiial discussion. Did someone really post financial docs on this site?
  7. Yes it's wierd. We're getting a beautiful new stadium to keep the team in WNY for decades. The team posts a video with alot of insite to the building process and look of the stadium, and everyone makes sarcastic and negative comments. Some people don't allow themselves to enjoy life.
  8. Strongly Disagree that Levi Wallace struggled his whole time with Bills. He had very few noticeably bad games in his 4 seasons He was at least an average starting NFL CB on a good defense. Just a couple points from his first year and last year with the Bills. 2018 - Wallace received an overall grade of 83.5 from Pro Football Focus, which ranked fifth among all qualifying cornerbacks in 2018. He also received the highest PFF grade among all rookie cornerbacks. 2021 - He allowed just a 72.6 passer rating when targeted. Give most of the credit to Wallace for overcoming limited athletic ability by NFL standards. The Bills coaching and system was also a factor in his success. He had a rough game when the Steelers came to OP last year, but overall he seemed to have a decent year in Pittsburgh.
  9. The Bills had the #1 Defensive in DVOA Metrics last year, and were 2nd in DVOA behind Dallas in 2021. The Bills have had a consistent top defense, and were able to withstand several key injuries, until the Bengals game. We can count on McDermott & co having a disciplined top tier D, the question is can they produce the game changing plays and big stops against the best QBs to take the team over the top this year? For example, I would argue that Philly, SF and maybe Cinci were more effective big play Defenses last year. Checking DVOA stats an interesting fact is that the BIlls were the first team since 2015, and only the 7th in the last 40 years to be ranked in the top 5 DVOA in all 3 phases. 2022 Bills were #1 D, #4 Offense, #1 ST. You don't achieve that if you are not a well coached team with effective play calling. Teams with Top 5 DVOA in All 3 Phases, 1981-2022 1985 CHICAGO 1991 WASHINGTON 1992 PHILADELPHIA 1996 GREEN BAY 2012 SEATTLE 2015 SEATTLE 2022 BUFFALO 3 of those teams won the SB
  10. it's a $68 mil 4 year extension. He was already set get paid over $10 mil guaranteed in 2023. So I think the total contract value is around $78 million
  11. KC CHIEFS are listed in 4 countries, and NE & MIA both in 3.
  12. That's a rough B-day. Were you already an adult in 2001? Or did you deal with that b-day as a kid?
  13. This is a good summary of why the prosecution did not move forward with the case. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/prosecutors-former-bills-punter-matt-araiza-wasnt-present-during-alleged-gang-rape-225211550.html
  14. So. Who was on the winning team?
  15. I have been going since I my dad took me when I was kid in the late 70's. So I'll miss it too from a nostalgic standpoint. But I can't wait for a huge upgrade. I don't live in WNY anymore, but usually get to at least 1 home game and a couple road games a season. Rich / Ralph / New Era is the bottom of the barrel for current NFL stadiums. I would rate it as the absolute worst stadium for entry on game day, and getting through the cramped corridors and trying to pee, while you're missing game action is not a fun experience. 2026 seems a long way off.
  16. Realty good pick. Fast playmaker. That’s the LB I wanted after Campbell & Sanders.
  17. I like Dorian Williams as an option
  18. Kincaid is a better receiver. Better hands, better routes, better RAC
  19. We’re on at least the start of chapter 3 on JA’s career in Buffalo. Chapter 1 would’ve been 2018 - 2019 when he showed amazing potential but hadn’t put it altogether yet. You could say chapter 2 started when Diggs arrived.
  20. Mike Ditka was a tight end in the NFL. That's an offensive postion. Although he did also play defense in college. Maybe you mean Dick Butkus?
  21. The Eagles probably score 42 or at least 38, if not for a historically bad call by the refs. Horrible way to end the Super Bowl
  22. I actually like Marino's seasonal rankings and some of the comparative stats he comes up with. Some of it's interesting stuff that I personally wouldn't take the time to look up somewhere else. I agree the biographical info is bit tedious and usually basic info that most football fans already know. He's also fair in his criticism and praise of the Bills. Doesn't shy away from calling out players or circumstances, but also keeps a good perspective of when the Bills are doing things well compared to the rest of the league. I did get tired of the same analysis and repetitive takes after the season, so I stopped listening for now. But I'll come back closer to the draft.
  23. Good point. I don’t mind Mooch, but that was a brutal crew
  24. It’s a good point. The hotels this week in Phoenix are insane. I started looking in November with hopes that the Bills were going and a La Quinta inn on the outskirts of town was over $500 night. I imagine that kept plenty of people away.
  25. That’s interesting. I don’t remember SB ticket prices dropping in recent years. Seemed like you couldn’t get in the stadium for less than.$6,500 including fees the last few years
