  1. That's a good illustration. He doesnt rank in the top 5 of any passing category, except interceptions. And if you look just at th3 last month, he's in the bottom 5 of passer rating. And that's with alot of back-ups playing. Most important is winning, and Allen's running and some timely 1st down passing conversions are big reason they've won 4 in row. But you can't have a QB in the MVP discussion that's not close to a league leader in any passing stats.
  2. And of that 746,000 in LA probably close to half the # were just general NFL fans - Football fans, Josh Allen fans, gamblers, fantasy players, etc who really don't care specifically about the Chargers. But the overall number of households in LA exceeeding Buffalonians tuning in, proves the point of exactly why the NFL wanted teams back in LA.
  3. BILLS 20 BAD GUYS 19 New England misses a FG at the buzzer, reverse score of Bills vs Belichick in Superbow XV.
  4. You mention Marty below, but who is the 3rd coach w .600+ record in the regular season? I thought it might be Chuck Knox who coached Rams, Bills, Seahawks, & Rams again. But I looked it up and he finished @ .558 for his careeer. He did coach teams to 7 playoff wins, overall 7 - 11 in postseason and never made a SB run. Knox was actually right @ .600 winning % until he returned to the Rams from 1992 - 1994 and went 15 - 33 to bring his % down before he retired. Knox has 193 total wins, which is #11 all time
  5. Von is a really bad contract, but Russ is definitely worse. Overall money & dead cap (approx $68M compared to approx $32M if I understand correctly) is about double for Russ compared to Von. And screwing up the QB position hurts your team worse than any defensive position. It's really when you throw in all the trade pieces that make it a total disaster for the Broncos. 2 1st rounders, including #5 overall, 2 2nd rounders and 3 rosterable players make it the worst trade of this century. What's amazing is that the Browns may have equaled it on the Deshaun Watson trade & signing. They Watson trade was terrible, but still TBD if it's as bad or worse than Wilson.
  6. I thought you were joking (sarcasm) on your orginal post. Did you watch him during the Chargers game? He looked worse in that game than he did against the Chiefs or Cowboys and he wasn't good in those games. Absolutely zero impact against the pass (not even a QB pressure) or run & he played around 40 snaps. I guess it's possible Von makes an impact in the playoffs, but I doubt it.
  7. McCaffrey Lamar T. Hill Purdy I dont think there's a strong enough case for anyone else, but still 2 weeks to go.
  8. True, but my point is that at this juncture in the season Norman's spot doesn't have anything to do with whether or not Elam gets activated. Elam won't go to the practice squad, he'll either be activated to the 53 or placed on season ending IR. If the team / Hyde determine that the risk is too great for Hyde to play, then they IR Hyde, and Elam would be an option for that spot. If injuries create a situation where Norman gets elevated for the Dolphins game (assuming it's for the division) or a play off game, we're in trouble. I would much rather Elam play, or Hyde comes back and Lewis returns to his role as backup.
  9. Norman is currently on the practice squad. Not on the 53 man roster
  10. For Elam, yes they need to decide in the next couple days. Currently Bills are only at 52 active players, since last when they put Philips on IR. My feeling is that Jones will be 53 and they left the roster at 52 to give more time to make a decision if Hyde is going to play again, and perhaps activate Elam in his place to fill out the DBs.
  11. How about Shakir. For Miami game & playoffs I would put the extra load on Shakir and give it a shot. Ty Johnson could be an option too. Keep Harry inactive & open a game day spot.
  12. That would be a new and interesting wrinkle, to allow the Browns to get 2 playoff spots. Make-up to Browns fans for all the bad karma and losses they've experienced in the last 50 years. If the seeding matches up so they play themselves do they just get a bye? And if they have to play 2 games the same weekend in different cities do they roll out a split squad, like in MLB spring training. @Einstein please help explain how this will work?
  13. Giimme a break. The Raiders scored 6 offensive TDs in the 1st half. It was 42-0 at halftime against a team that was shut out last week. How much worse could the Chargers D possibly play. It’s hard to put up yards on Offense when you start at midfield or in the 2’nd half your defense keeps scoring and kicking off. The Raiders scores TDs on 7 of their first 9 Posesaions
  14. Yen please. But they really should fire him right now. Staley will go down awls one of the worst coaches of his generation
  15. The Bills were down to their back-ups on D-line too. Daquan & Von were out & Phillips was playing w a dislocated shoulder bc no one else was left.
  16. It’s Dunne’s style. Presents one sided argument and doesn’t mind embellishments and using unverified comments from sources. https://www.nfl.com/news/aaron-rodgers-on-article-this-was-a-smear-attack-0ap3000001025673
  17. It’s hard to believe that he interviewed 25 people and no one would go on the record. In today’s world a lot of people are happy to put their name behind critical comments. Dunne clearly went into this project biased against McDermott.
  18. His rookie year, 2018 the Bills did not make the playoffs. Allen was the main starter, strarted 11 out of 16 games. He played in 12.
  19. Looks like the Raiders took a cap hit of $3 mil in 21' and $4.8 mil in 22' on Ruggs. It's going to be an ugly situation for the Bills. On the WGR morning show today, they were talking about the Bills cap problems for next year. I was thinking the best option would be to get Von Miller to take a pay cut. Would help the Bills and no one is going to pay Von anything close to what he's scheduled to earn the next 4 yrs wtih Buffalo. Of course that was before he got in a fight with his baby mama. Bills are probably screwed now, with limited options. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/las-vegas-raiders/henry-ruggs-47606/
  20. Can you imagine the outrage if he actually called for a punt from the 31 yard line? Holy Jesus that woulda been stupid. This is the thread that jumped the shark on McDermott criticism. Pretty much shows that some fans are going to be against every decision that doesn’t work out perfectly.
  21. Allen was way more than solid yesterday. He missed a few throws, but he truly put the team on his back with a valient effort. He made several amazing plays, 400+ total yards and 4 TDs in terrible weather against a strong D should get it done. But your comps of Marino and Favre are good. His play styie is like Favre, but recently I've been thinking his career could end up like Marino. Marino was an amazing paser, but as on overall QB, I would never have traded Kelly for Marino in their primes. Kelly knew how to manage and win games. In the same way, Eagles fans would not trade Hurts for Allen. The 0-6 OT record for Josh is telling. Other than the Chiefs playoff game, the Bills O had the ball with a chance to win. In those 5 games, their drives were punt, punt, INT, punt , FG. So yesterday was the first time they even put up 3 points. Of course the D was no help in those 6 games. They only forced 1 punt, Houston playoff game, and the Bills punted back to lose on FG, and only forced 1 FG against the Vikings and then Bills lost when Allen was intercepted. Other 4 games were immediate TD drives or punt return for TD. Complimentary football.
  22. Just realized this post was from Nov. 5th. Should've banned the term at that point. 2 ridiculous losses since then.
  23. I voted Yes, because I do hate the term, and the vote wont make a difference. But really we shouldn't ban any terms or negative comments about the Bills on this board. It's a place for fans to vent and share their frustration. Even though B***** is a stupid term, if some fans think it's useful, go ahead and use it. Although this era of the Bills does find unique and heart-wrenching ways to lose dramatic games, I still would rather have this entertaining group to root for compared to some others.
