  1. I was at the game and Tyrod was not good. Inaccurate even on some of the completions the ball placement did not allow for run after catch. He also was not as Dynamic as normal creating plays with scrambles. The lack turnovers are a plus, but against the Fish there were several plays where he needed to throw it in there and give receivers a chance to make a play. 2 plays where an accurate throw to Hunter in the end zone could've been scores. It's getting close to the point where the team needs to admit he is what he is.
  2. Either the Bills or the Browns played in the AFC Championship for 8 straight years. The cycle should come back around eventually.
  3. The lack of turnovers is a very underrated part of his game. Tyrod takes care of the ball. Even more important as a winning combination if the D keeps up the quality play of the last 2 weeks. There are still doubts if he can progress to the next level, but many QBs make many more mistakes as they are learning and gaining experience
  4. He has been the best and most consistent player on the team. 1sr QTR of season MVP. It's hard to imagine that Ragland could've played better
  5. Ah yes. Back to the draft where we somehow had big needs at almost every key position. But at least we had 2 good RBs in their prime. So of course the Bills use a 1st on Spiller to make sure the Seahawks farm team is fully stocked. It is good to see that all 3 were eventually called up to the big league team. In that move plus several others it showed that Chan and Buddy did not understand the principles of building a successful NFL roster
  6. Yes Leon Washington with Jets did it to Bills in 2008 http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/football/jets/leon-washington-trick-treat-kickoff-bills-article-1.333827
  7. Pettine was an asst the last 6 years Rex was in Baltimore. And he was the DC first 4 years of Rex w Jets. Could be that Pettine is able to communicate the scheme and help players execute in a way that Rex is not capable on his own.
  8. Because Darby and Gilmore will be called for a penalty or give up a long completion
  9. With the addition of Tunsil and Bushrod all 5 OL spot look solid On Paper. Plus Gase should be a big upgrade.
  10. Pretty fair analysis of the offense and the schedule. Although I think "us against the world" and generally getting hyped for outside motivations is overrated in the NFL. Ever team has their own reasons to prove everyone wrong. It might carry a game here or there, but ultimately the more talented better coached teams will prevail over the course of a season. With the continuity of the O and a full year experience for Tyrod. I believe he will his performance maybe a bit better than avg. top 1/2 of QBS in the league. But with so many questions on the D, he will likely need to be a top 5 QB in the AFC for the Bills to reach the playoffs. I might disagree that the Bills are more talented than the fish. The 2 franchises have been equally and similarly dysfunctional over the last 15 years. IMO Bills have the current roster edge at RB, DB, and Fish at DL other position groups are toss up depending on injuries. Really will come down to if Tannehill can improve enough under Gase compared to Tyrod and year 2 under Roman. Important b/c Bills will probably need to sweep Miami to make playoffs. I voted 7 - 9. To have a chance at 10 - 6 and playoffs, it looks like the team would need a start of 5- 2 or better before that tough 6 game stretch.
  11. Very cool to see the local boy make it. Let's see if he can contribute. He should get some action in Roman's offense
  12. A lot of guys are a surprise to see make the 53. J. Lattimore, Albright, Humber, J. Meeks. C. Anderson, R. Groy (probably the worst on our 53), N. Oleary, Gronkowski. Don't think those 8 guys would make the roster of too many other teams in the league.
  13. Both good calls, but I think Goodwin will hold on for the Percy Harvin roll. Quick elusive receiver who makes some plays in the first few weeks, then gets hurt and goes on IR. Robey Coleman is on the fence. Brandon Spikes is another close call
  14. Yes timing doesn't make sense if it was performance based. Hard to believe that a few preseason practices override his performance last season. He is not going to take up a roster spot the first 4 games. It would not be unprecedented for the Bills to be hit with a rash of early season injuries at RB. Lets hope we're not bringing up Karlos name in week 5 or 6 looking for RB depth. Probably another incident or at least bad attitude. Disappointing, but at some point coaches and management need to make a stand.
  15. I was impressed with A. Washington. Actually all the rookie draft picks who suited up played well. Jones, Williams, Seymour. Maybe not a disastrous draft after all? Hawthorne came to play. Made some big hits, but also missed tackles. Spikes looked bad. Hopefully will improve once rust wears off. Most of backup LBs and DBs don't look like NFLers. Could end up with a couple of our final 53 LBs and maybe a DB that are cuts from another team
  16. In those clips Felton was extremely effective, both in choosing the right man and executing the block. Due to Roman's complicated schemes, Baby Gronk is a long shot to make the team. At the end of last I was in the camp with those wondering why Felton is on the roster.
  17. Can't we turn this into a more optimistic, Tyrod is too small.runs too much and EJ is the most inaccurate back up in the history of the NFL thread? Or Better yet, Rex defense is so complicated and our guys can't communicate debate
  18. Interesting list. Shows you why the Bills have lost more than they've won. Bruce Matheson was pretty bad, should be below JP. Lamonica should go up several spots.
  19. Would have preferred Darron Lee. Disappointed to see him go to Jets. Shaq is a good pick. Legit 1st round talent
