  1. Colts fans are fired up for this game. Love that Indy has the proper level of hatred for Belichick and his Cheaters
  2. Loving Reich. Couldn’t ask for a better start to this game
  3. But those guys both had pro experience before becoming HCs in College
  4. Stop hanging out with New England fans. It will improve your life
  5. Sad news. Such a good guy and terrific Buffalo Bill. He was a constant through the best years of the franchise.
  6. McKenzie has had 3 massive blunders in 10 games played this year. The misplayed kickoff against Washington that lead to a TD, the muffled punt against the Dolphins (which he got very luck didn’t lead to a TD thanks to Kumerow) and the embarrassing tackle yourself and fumble against Indy that lead to a TD. All 3 were at Highmark stadium. Still I would’ve played McKenzie against NE, and it was surprising to hear the coach call him out. But it’s not without cause that he wasn’t active with the windy environment ‘Monday night.
  7. OK. Comparing him to the other current coaches in the NFL, I believe he’s a top 10 coach. My point in the comparison to the previous 20 years is that the odds of finding a top tier replacement for McD are not good. Personally I don’t have confidence that the Pegulas would be successful in upgrading the HC. The Bills are in a good place for the next several years. Similar to what the Steelers and Ravens have been over the last 15 and 10 years respectively. Consistent playoff contenders who in their best years have a legit chance to win the SB. I think with Allen and McDermott the Bills will be in the SB at least once in the next 5 years Firing their Head Coach would be monumentally stupid.
  8. Excellent write up. I agree it was high level competition in difficult circumstances for both teams. As well as Allen played at times, ultimately he had chances to come through with a decisive game winning play and he didn't. On some of your specific points. 6. Yep, Jones progress was stopped short. And he only slid forward after the play was over. But you couldn't tell. 5. Bills got a break on the unnecessary roughness call on Allen's . Would have been screaming my head off in the roles were reversed. Is the defender supposed to just allow him to get the first down? 4. That fumble was on Breida. He held his hands way too far apart. I saw a clip after the game of Peyton Manning making of him, exaggerating how far apart his hands were. Saying that goes in the RB clinic for how not to take a hand off.
  9. I already regret replying to this topic But who exactly do you propose to replace McD? It took 20 years for the Bills to find a good coach. They went 0-7 in coaching hires between Marv and McD, including 2 Head Coaches who quit on them. What other NFL team has had even 1 coach quit? Wizard - if you like, you can start scouring for NFL retreads or unproven college coaches. I'll stick with McDermott and enjoy the Bills as a playoff contender year and year out. And eventually celebrate when they make a championship run.
  10. I just did a run through the ESPN Playoff Machine selecting every game the rest of the way, just my first thought for each game without much analysis or going back to change. Here's what came out. A 7 way tie in the AFC at 11-6. Seedings as follows. 1. LA Chargers 11-6 2. Tennessee 11-6 3. Cinci 11-6 4. Buffalo 11-6 5. New Eng 11-6 6. Baltimore 11-6 7. Kanas City 11-6 In my scenario New England loses to Indy and to the Bills. Bills lose to TB and win all the rest. They go into playoff mode after losing to the Bucs. The #8 team in my scenario is the Colts at 10-7. So if everything else stays as predicted, except Bills losing in NE, then Bills would be 10 - 7 and out of playoffs with Colts taking the 7th seed and NE at 12-5 as the 1 seed
  11. I agree with you except for the Titans. The D gave up points on 6 consecutive drives (4 TDs and 2 FGs) not counting kneel downs. After the first quarter the D didn't force 1 punt. Yes offense still had a chance to win at the end. But how could the defense possibly be worse than giving up points on every possession? Anyway last night, even though they were pushed around, the D held NE out of the end zone in the 2nd half and did enough to win. This year, when 1 side of the ball has a rough game the other side doesn't do quite enough to make up for it. Weird year. Either they win in a blow out or they lose.
  12. I want to beat the Patriots in the playoffs. Preferably in OP. But It would be fun to win in Foxboro too. Bills need to beat them when it counts. If they lose to NE in playoffs will be gut wrenching. Better to have the opportunity, than just to fade away against a lesser opponent.
  13. Doc? Are you sure you’re not Captain Hindsight? Well, if the game already happened I predict Bass goes 4-4 on PATs
  14. 10 - 9 Bills. Folk misses a PAT and misses a 27 yd FG at the horn when the ball hits a wind wall at the goal line. Bass is the hero by going 1-1 on PATs and 1 -3 on FGs
  15. That’s why the #1 seed is such a big deal. If you play in the 1st round you could have 3 tough games, compared to only 2 w the bye. Look at the Ravens for example. I have a hard time seeing them winning 3 games in a row in January. But 2 at home w extra rest. I might bet on them
  16. Having a great time here in Nola. Have enjoyed talking w Saints fans. Had a couple beers w a 45 year old guy who said 90’s Bills were his favorite except for Saints. He talked in depth about everyone from Kent Hull to Carwell Gardner. Also sat w 2 long time bartenders who told me no one travels like Buffalo, except Wisconsin. They said Packers and Badgers might have us beat in crowd size and alcohol consumption. Also said Bills and Packers are good tippers. They don’t like fans from Chicago or Boston. Too obnoxious
  17. Exactly. They talk process all the time. Recent one is “we’re not going ride the roller coaster” Now that they’re not playing well. No one wants to hear it. Fans want see McD, Allen, or one of the vets on D yell and hear about players getting their ass chewed out. Right orb wrong it’s not the mentality of the team.
  18. I agree w your premise. Allen is not the problem. And he might be the toughest guy on a team that is lacking tough guys. But most replacement level QBs would’ve beat Jax with the way our D played. So that’s a trade off on the Chiefs game. Bills D destroyed the Fish, Jets, and Texans. Allen was awesome against WFT
  19. In McD’s postgame presser. He was asked “isnt it extra galling when it’s a COVID 19 issue that affects the anchor of your D-line not to mention your right tackle?” McD answered, “I respect those guys decision, and I’m going to talk about who’s here.” This quote plus and the fact that Star definitely was unvaxed during training camp tells me he’s still unvaxed.
  20. Star tested positive a week ago today. Thursday is the first day he is eligible to be w the team. So it’s unlikely. Has anyone heard if he’s experiencing any symptoms and what treatment he is undergoing for COVID.
  21. Washington game was a nice day
  22. Considering that Star traveled w team to NJ. It will be surprising if Brown is the only player who tests +.
  23. My first thought was CJ Mosely. Assuming a Bills win, I will say Diggs.
  24. I am expecting the Bills to turn it around. But I don't think the comp to mid-November 2020 proves this point. The 2020 Bills only lost 1 game after the Oct 19th week 6 loss to KC, and that was the last second hail mary. In 2020 the team started rolling in November. Nov 1st Beat NE, first for McD over Belichick and for me one the best victories for the Bills in the last 20 years. Nov 8th put up 44 on the Seahawks. At that point last year they were already well on their way to becoming an AFC powerhouse. The Fitz game you site, was 2019. The Bills put up 56 with their backups against the Fish in the home game last year.
