  1. If you have the receiver(s) connected to a phone line the information will be available to Tech Support and calling them they can help determine the problem. As far as the difficulty of adjusting the signal on your own I can attest that it is possible to do. After some strong winds (borderline tornado) blew through my neighborhood it knocked the receiver off its setting and I lost all HD channels. With the help of a few friends I was able to align the dish and make the signal better than was installed. My dish was on top of the roof so I had two people hold the ladder and a third person using a walkie-talkie to read the numbers while I used a wrench to adjust the pan/tilt on the dish. Here's the thread I used to learn how to adjust the alignment myself. Hope this helps give you some answers/options.
  2. On top of the other high-profile deaths this last month it's to the point where I'm almost desensitized. Awful news if it was a double-homicide.
  3. Vontae has been cleared by Police Dept: Story.
  4. Is it me or does that "person" have a resemblance to The Runaway Bride?
  5. Sounds like Murdoch from the A-Team.
  6. A hearty bowl of stale Flutie Flakes and a side of Retatta starts the day off right!
  7. Since it's in my neck-of-the-woods, I'll try to share what news I see. Cause of death undetermined. I've not heard much of their music but I know a few friends who really enjoy it.
  8. I agree that the game should have been pushed back another night. It's not like the idea of stretching out a playoff series is new to the NBA; they do it often. It seems to me the NBA and Stan Kroenke shouldn't have got into this dispute with Vinny Mac. He's an entertainer and took full advantage of the situation, and it will reap benefits as far as viewers to his TV programs. Even though they're painted as bad guys in this situation, the NBA should appreciate a little extra publicity.
  9. You mean his family no longer loves him? Sad.
  10. One that I'm putting out there is Bill Hicks.
  11. When Carolina and Jacksonville were awarded franchises, they left St. Louis in the dark on getting back into the NFL (although the St. Louis Purple Stallions was a lame nickname). In hindsight, maybe the League shouldn't have been so smitten with Jacksonville?
  12. (Took a quick look and didn't see this posted yet. Please delete if this has been posted already.) I found this nugget to be released in August: History of the Buffalo Bills What will be included? What would you like to see included that likely won't make it on the DVD? Running time is listed at 100 minutes. I would hope it will actually be longer if it is a two-disc set.
  13. I got a feeling that Adolf is gonna be pissed!
  14. 10/10 I had to listen to #8 a few times and then guessed.
  15. Montana: He wasn't the fastest. He didn't have the strongest arm. He won two Super Bowls (XVI, XIX) with an average running game and average group of receivers (Jerry Rice was drafted in '85). He helped usher in the modern West Coast Offense. Survived a possible career-ending back injury in 1983, returning 1-2 months later and resumed playing at a high level. He helped Marty Schottenheimer win a game in Denver when they were with the Chiefs (MNF, 1994?). Marty could never win there. BONUS: He let Bruce Smith & Co. knock him out of the playoffs with a concussion (okay, that isn't a good point to support Montana). When I see a player (on any team) wearing the number 16, I think of Ryan Leaf Joe Montana.
  16. With two key members of the AFL Champion teams passing away this year, I'd like to see the Bills petition the NFL to wear the throwbacks for all the games this season. It would be a tribute to the memories of Jack Kemp and Lou Saban in addition to the 50th Anniversary of the AFL. If they did petition and it was denied, the Bills could still wear the throwbacks but be fined for each game, is that right? If so, I wonder how much the fine would be.....
  17. The Buffalo News mentioned his Number 15 is retired. So I guess I was wrong in assuming it wasn't retired since Todd Collins wore that number. Maybe Todd asked for Jack's permission to use that number?
  18. I don't think it was retired because Todd Collins wore it wen he was here. Rest in Peace, Jack. That's two in the Bills family this week.
  19. If he's there when it's Buffalo's turn to pick, I really want them to take Arrelious Benn, WR from Illinois. This kid is the real deal, IMO, and hopefully he shows it this fall: 65 catches for 1,055 yds. 3 TD's, 23 rushes for 119 yds. 2 TD's (spread/option offense) in 2008; he can return punts and kicks as well. He'll be a Junior this season and it's virtually foregone that he's going pro next spring.
  20. Couldn't they just title the story, "Who the Raiders Will Draft"? It seems Al Davis often takes a non-conventional draft pick.
  21. Those "greenish-sparkly" helmets remind me of those little NFL helmets they sell in the vending machines outside of stores. First glance it looked like the NY Jets helmet. This thread is starting to feel like it should be a show on TLC.
  22. I caught a little bit of the Beach Boys version of Seasons in the Sun. Oddly good. Thanks for the heads-up on this, Dean!
