  1. If we can get the tickets I hope to make a weekend out of it. Should the game be slated for late in the season we may back out because my FIL won't want to deal with that kind of cold, even though he grew up around Crandon, WI.
  2. Are you kidding! NBC is praying they can Flex that matchup late in the season.
  3. I'm trying to score tickets when the Bills play at Green Bay. My father-in-law is a life-long Packers fan and I thought it'd be cool for us to see our first game at Lambeau.
  4. They would be in but they don't deserve to be. St. Louis has some money to spend and some contracts coming off the books (Kariya, Chris Mason, Tkachuk) so they could be very active this off-season (Kovalchuk?). TO me the hockey playoffs are one of the special sporting events of the year, regardless if my favorite team is in. When I was younger I loved to try to make it through those multiple OT games. And it always seemed Steve Levy was on the call with Darren Pang (bringing it full-circle, Panger does color commentary for the Blues. "HOLY JUMPIN'!")
  5. From a Blues fan I say: Good luck to the Sabres! How about a hockey version of 'Talkin' Proud'?
  6. This is one of the downsides to the current work of professional sports (and collegiate, to an extent). I gave up on spending a good chunk of money on a replica jersey after pitching a white Bledsoe to a buddy of mine when Drew went to Dallas. I personally buy Buffalo Bills merchandise (especially ones with the standing buffalo), but I'd consider DH Gate if I want to get a jersey.
  7. Cue the Bat-signal for 'nevergiveup'?
  8. Kip Drordy looks like Rocky Dennis from MASK.
  9. This thread is useless without the in-car video the arresting officer submitted as evidence.
  10. Nice move Steely! (you know what I mean)
  11. Let's see.... Tiki left the Giants and the next year they win the Super Bowl over the Pats*. Maybe his ex wife will have some good fortune come her way (besides getting rid of Tiki)?
  12. If you are able to get online I'm sure some of the internet broadcast sites (Justin.tv, ustream, channelsurfing) will have links to watch ESPN or NFL Network. I would also guess that ESPN3.com will stream, assuming your internet provider has access to it (I have access via AT&T DSL).
  13. Cardinals fan here. I don't hate the Cubs but I almost feel sorry for some of their fans. Almost.
  14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xPcql4!@#$0 Hoping Rod gets a one-way ticket here (may be NSFW)
  15. He's hanging out with Chad Ochocinco at Dancing With the Stars.
  16. The Chicago Machine was the ones to thank for getting him elected. Most people "downstate" would not vote for the guy, but it doesn't matter when you win the election if you carry Chicago. Many of us have known for years he was a dope and it doesn't surprise me that he is incompetent when it comes to technology and policy-making. When you are a product of The Machine you have people that do the work for you. I'm curious to see if he was actually late to any of the tapings in regards to the shoe because he was notoriously at least an hour late to all his public events. Maybe since he didn't have handlers he could actually be on time to things. And the short scene of him cussing someone out on the phone a week or two ago? That's one of the things the government has him (and his wife) doing- 'cussing someone out' to pressure them into cutting an illegal deal on Obama's Senate seat.
  17. If we're talking WR in the second round I still want to see them draft Arrelious Benn.
  18. Projecting that the Oakland Raiders make a logical pick may not be wise. If they pull another Darius Heyward-Bay then that gives Buffalo another quality player to choose from. I also believe what 'nevergiveup' says he is hearing from his source(s), that Claussen will not be the guy.
  19. I think it's fair to say that the journalists/media scribes/bloggers who regularly contribute to TSW are not sandbagging on their responsibilities to their professions just for the sake of appeasing us on the message boards. I would confirm what Lori has already stated: it does take some time to transcribe a 9-minute media availability on its own, not to mention other availabilities (Eric Wood) to cover. JW was probably consuming all the info from each interview as best he could and then going back to transcribe what he heard/recorded, after finding a quiet location to decipher sound bites which may come from someone who doesn't enunciate eloquently or in a room that may not be as quiet as a library (they still have librarys around, don't t hey?). I worked for eight years in TV news- that does not make me an expert on the situation (by no means am I the SKOOBY of TV news!), but maybe it helps provide some insight from my experiences. Just my ¢¢
  20. Thoughts and prayers for you guys.
  21. I thought phase one was collect underpants?
  22. It's a Friday, Chef, DO IT! (Submit to peer pressure!)
  23. It couldn't hurt to actually speak to a lawyer about your situation, can it? The worst they can do is confirm what's been said here. At best, you have a fighting chance at a job you really want. Good luck to you, either way.
  24. So, that poster has been on this board, a Denver Board (Cutler) and Philly (McNabb). Any other teams' forums that anyone can recall?
  25. It's almost like the Rev. Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson. Whenever there's a big event they're looking for attention.
