  1. He was an elite college quarterback. Much more so than Rosen, Darnold, and Allen. You can't be an elite college quarterback without elite traits.
  2. He's bigger, stronger, a better leader, throws a more accurate ball. Your turn.
  3. Weird request. Explain why the Pac-12 kids or Josh Allen or Mayfield are better than McCarron.
  4. Rudolph played in a Power 5 conference. You act as if he played in the MAC or Sun Belt. Big 12 defenses look worse than they do because their offenses are so good. Their defenses looked good in their bowl games. As for the past - I don't care.
  5. Haven't read any responses yet... 1. We get to keep all nine of our draft picks - six in the first three rounds will be fun to look forward to and watch in training camp. 2. Rudolph is at-worst the second most accurate passer in this draft (arm strength is overrated as long as you have the requisite amount of it) and appears to be very sharp when talking X's and O's. He's also 6-5 with good speed and has used RPO's in college. 3. Lamar Jackson is a very young freak of nature who has improved dramatically as a passer over the last few years. He could have the highest ceiling among all of the quarterbacks and may turn into a superstar. 4. The NFL's gradual offensive revolution combined with Daboll's year of college playcalling experience should allow for an easier transition for a QB that either ran few NFL concepts in college (Rudolph) or may not have the typical pro style skill set (Jackson). Look at how successful Jared Goff and Deshaun Watson have been. At this point I think it's a no-brainer to stay at 12 and choose the best remaining QB on the board - which, in the long-run, may be the best quarterback in the draft.
  6. Beane wasn't here when Jones was picked.
  7. Tell that to Jeff Sessions and other republicans.
  8. Per Ian Rapoport: "From last night: The facility Jones is being held in, per the inmate report, is a hospital ward of the jail where suspects are taken for medical and/or psychiatric attention."
  9. I'm assuming he was on synthetic weed or some other drug. If it's a legitimate mental health issue then you're absolutely right. We'll see.
  10. Too much. Stay at 12, draft Mason Rudolph, and use the abundance of picks to build around him.
  11. I think he's an excellent wide receiver and would be happy if he re-signed with us. I think he was hobbled for all of 2017. But something tells me there was a falling out of sorts between he and the coaching staff/front office. Not sure why I feel that way...
  12. Rudolph will probably turn out to be the best quarterback in this draft. I see Rosen, Allen and Mayfield all busting. And Sam Darnold will be a Brown. Nuff said there. Jackson and Rudolph will outperform the big four IMO.
  13. They have a crappy roster, a first-year GM, and only 5 draft picks. It would be more foolish to turn down an extra first, second, third and maybe more just because they fall in love with a guy that won't start for another year or two even if he turns out to be legit.
  14. Chances are the best quarterback to come out of this draft aren't even one of the "big four." I'm confident that Beane is smart enough to not allow the Giants to hold us hostage. That's the thing - I can't see Giants trading all the way down to 12. Bills still have work to do before they can even execute a trade with the Giants if they wanted to. They need to trade up to 6 or 7 first.
  15. I want to not give up both the present and future for a quarterback that is not even likely to work out anyway. Bills have more than enough capital in the 2018 draft to move up all the way to #2. If Gettleman requires a first-rounder next year as well, then he can take a hike.
  16. Then it had better not happen. That would be highway robbery.
  17. If Gettleman requires us to dip into the first or second round of next year's draft then Beane should tell him to shove it.
  18. They haven't been around long enough for results to speak for themselves. Pegula didn't hire Marrone. I love Terry and Kim but let's not go overboard on their knowledge of football.
  19. This statement applies to all 32 NFL teams. McDermott and Beane are not competing against fans. They're competing against the other 31 teams. About football? I'm going to have to disagree there.
  20. Stay at 12 and draft either Mason Rudolph or Jackson.
  21. I would have expected these types of moves last year when we were tanking.
