Allen doesn't need more reps. He played like a 15 year veteran on Sunday.

Why is everyone ignoring Tyler Boyd? He's the one who caught the pass and ran it in for the touchdown. Hope he gets the same amount of appreciation on Sunday.

Sorry Shaw. I love Tuh'Rod the person. But it's already a fact that he's never going to be an "excellent qb". He's a very solid stop-gap QB. Which is better than most, for sure.

Probably wasn't getting any first or second team reps this week. Saw the writing on the wall.

The proof is in where the players are taking reps. Holmes was injured for an entire week during training camp. He comes back and immediately starts the first preseason game as the #2 WR. Everything indicates that he has worked very hard this offseason and Daboll likes him. Not to mention he's a valuable special teams asset. I would be absolutely shocked if Holmes was cut.

If Zay was in trouble he wouldn't be working exclusively with the starting unit. The top four receivers (and stone cold locks) are obviously Benjamin, Zay, Holmes and Kerley.

Depends on what Daboll thinks. He stunk in 2017 but had some good years in Atlanta. Maybe Daboll thinks he can be this team's James Develin.

Yeah, I don't feel too strongly about the ranking of the QB's at this point. I'd prefer Allen sit for at least the first half of the season but this week will be huge with regard to that. All I know for certain (in my mind, anyway) is that all three QB's will make the team.

I'd probably choose Schmidt also but there's a reason Beane pursued Ryan (they don't like Schmidt very much) and I think Ryan signing so quickly after visiting is indication that they told him the job is pretty much his barring a clownshow the next 8 days.
