  1. Ok, great. Then we can definitively blame the receivers and say “get this stud some help at wideout “. But when Allen turtles and holds the ball and gets sacked, that’s on Allen.
  2. Perhaps the fact that he was sacked 7 times and his eyes were as wide as saucers were slight hints that he lacked confidence just a tad.
  3. Accuracy is literally the least of my worries regarding Allen. Always been extremely overblown. He’s a very accurate thrower. Allen’s issues are and always have been mental.
  4. Again, taking seven sacks in a single game is not forcing the issue or “going down swinging.” It’s the total opposite: apprehension.
  5. “His receivers can’t get separation! He has no one to throw to!”
  6. These are just excuses. Allen had the second-longest snap-to-pass-attempt time in Week 4 at 2.75 seconds. A QB who wants to make plays gets rid of the Football.
  7. I was hopeful that Allen wouldn’t be afraid to pull the trigger even when his receivers aren’t getting much separation. If the WR can’t come down with an accurate and well-placed ball, then that’s on the WR. If Allen holds the ball too long and gets sacked, that’s on him. Right now Allen’s tentativeness is the most frustrating part. As a result he’s just a taller, slower version of Tuh’Rod.
  8. “Thank you, sir. May I have another?”
  9. Yikes. Someone has a case of the Mondays. The kid put 0 points on the board. In 2018. The moment was too big for him. Allen was clueless out there. Had no idea where the blitz was coming from pre-snap. Was slow to recognize it post-snap. Had happy feet and left pockets and/or was overly-tentative when he was given time. He was completely overwhelmed.
  10. Never once looked overwhelmed? Wow. We must have watched different games then.
  11. I don’t know if it was Mike Pettine’s scheme/gameplan that rattled him from the very beginning or if someone told him right before kickoff that his dog died. But Allen just seemed out of it all game. Babyface Allen’s day in Wisconsin summed up in one perfect photograph. Add your caption...
  12. On the other hand, he had two great DC’s (Pettine and Schwartz) and a much more talented roster to work with. The “didn’t want to be told to play EJ” thing is 110% myth. All that said, I’ve forgiven Marrone for how he left my teams (Syracuse and Bills) and hold no ill will.
  13. "If you replaced the entire Bills WR corps with street Free Agents, would there be any difference?" That's a really interesting way of putting it. I'm going to say no and feel pretty confident about my answer.
  14. I enjoy Schopp and the Bulldog as long as they're not talking about fantasy football. Schopp is as pompous as it gets but his takes are interesting at least.
  15. Not when you're down multiple scores in the 4th quarter.
  16. Daboll's horrible game plan directly resulted in our rookie QB having as poor a performance as any Bills QB in recent history. They all have to lick their wounds and move on.
  17. Yes, Chris Conte hurt his "knee"
  18. We all know that the Pats will still win 12-13 games this season.
  19. Buehrlein might’ve been a little harsh toward Allen but Allen made it easy for all of his critics last week considering how poorly he played. I also think Beuerlein’s point wasn’t how bad Allen is but rather how difficult it is to be a rookie QB in this league in general.
  20. I wouldn’t put it past them. Something clicked with the defense at halftime of the Chargers game. And Allen looked much more aggressive and less gun shy vs. the Vikings. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens. This season is all gravy anyways.
  21. No doubt. There’s no salary cap in the $EC.
  22. The Root is writing a story about it as we speak I’m sure.
