  1. TNF games are 98% crapshoot. Let’s hope the ball bounces in the Colts’ favor tonight.
  2. But the receivers were getting open. Pretty consistently. As underneath hot routes. And the OLine allowed Shady to average 4.8 yards per carry.
  3. Deep breath. Because those units weren’t nearly as poor against the Packers as 1a and 1b.
  4. I don’t disagree with you about Allen. Obviously he was atrocious. But it’s really hard to put 0 points on the board in 2018. For that to happen, multiple parties have to participate in the incompetence. If I were to rank Sunday’s ineptitude, it would look like this... 1a. Allen 1b. Daboll 3. OLine 4. Receivers
  5. It was 0-0 on the Bills’ second offensive possession when Daboll called three straight passing plays from inside the 5. With a raw rookie QB. Against a Mike Pettine defense (blitz-happy, vulnerable against the run). Mind-boggling idiocy.
  6. Shady was given five touches and they put a goose egg on the scoreboard. If you find it impossible to evaluate play calling in light of those two simple facts, then I don’t know how to help you.
  7. To be fair, when your starting quarterbacks in both units (MLB is considered the QB of the defense) are rookies, you can consider yourself young. And I’d be curious to know how many teams have more combined first and second year players on their 53-man rosters.
  8. Yes. As they should be. Having poor personnel doesn’t make an OC immune from criticism over awful gameplans and play calling.
  9. Stop hiring ****ty coaches and no one would ever have to be fired.
  10. Daboll threw Allen into the deep end of the pool. Then after he saw Allen flailing and splashing - nearly drowning - decided against throwing him a lifejacket and instead tossed an anchor on top of him which finished the job. Giving Shady five total touches and allowing your raw rookie QB to drop back time after time against a Pettine defense with no adjustments is absolutely inexplicable.
  11. “The worst WR’s in Football history” Welp, at least no one is overreacting. ? Receivers were running wide open underneath all day on Sunday. No one is denying that the unit could use some upgrades but a shiny new WR1 isn’t going to miraculously give our rookie QB the gift of pocket presence and defense literacy.
  12. Exactly. How does adding Amari Cooper help our rookie QB recognize blitzes and throw to hot reads?
  13. Why would the Raiders trade him for a low round pick?
  14. Just what we need to do - give up more draft picks.
  15. Because one is a coach and the other is the general manager. Do you need a link for that?
  16. McDermott and Beane aren’t exactly tied together - contrary to popular belief. If things go very bad this season, we could see Beane getting his opportunity to hire the new HC (for the first time).
  17. Zay doesn’t drop balls. He’s the least of the offense’s problems right now.
  18. It’s all part of their master plan! #TrustTheProcess
  19. Imagine you and I walking into our respective bosses’ offices later this morning and telling him/her that the next year our work production will suck...and somehow expecting that to result in job security.
  20. Oh yes, I can barely type with all this weeping and wailing I’m doing. Just call me Brett Kavenaugh! ?? If McDermott and his latest choice for OC aren’t able to get something more out of Allen this season then it would be a tremendous mistake to not replace him with an innovative offensive mind. Otherwise, Allen will bust and Beane will be fired with McDermott a couple years later. That’s just the truth.
  21. Oh ok, thanks. I thought for sure the Chargers and Packers kicked their asses as well but apparently not. Must have been barn-burners. My mistake!
  22. They've already had three of those and they've only played four games.
