  1. Thats not my problem. I responded to the OP, who said: “I thinkwith our defense and a veteran QB the team has a chance to succeed. I believe Anderson will capitalize off turnovers and win us a few games.”
  2. There are many pieces of the “historically bad offense” puzzle. Allen is one piece. Replacing that one piece with Anderson isn’t going to make a difference. I don’t care how “experienced” Anderson is. Allen had four full games. He passed for less than 100 yards in one of them. Somehow that has led to a weirdly common “Right now it's hard for Allen to break 100 yards passing in legit time” perception here. Which in turn has led to a belief that literally anyone else at QB would turn this offense around. It’s pretty absurd.
  3. No, of course he hasn’t been good. But he also hasn’t been a “complete failure” and completely inferior to a random bum they just signed off the couch a week ago.
  4. Theres nothing logical about expecting Derek Anderson to lead this team to wins.
  5. WE NEED MORE OF THEM
  6. A soothsayer has graced us with his presence, folks. It's an AMA session! Ask him anything about the future!!
  7. I’m shocked Foster lasted this long. Worst ball skills in the league.
  8. A player is upset after a loss?? How dare he?!?! Each player should be all smiles because they had fun, tried their best, and Coach McDermott is taking them out for ice cream later.
  9. Unfortunately, 'interceptions' is a stat. So probably not.
  10. Just watched the game over again (offense). It further confirmed my initial thought that Allen played much better than the stats showed. The Watt sack was bad - 100% his fault. Two or three misfires (first pass attempt to Clay and deep throw on first possession down left sideline to Benjamin) as all quarterbacks have. He still has an issue of not trusting what he sees and holding the ball too long rather than just rocking-and-firing. But a bigger problem this game was conservative play-calling and receivers not being talented enough to get YAC and/or make plays on the ball down the field. The bomb down the field that was called back thanks to Captain Dimarco was a thing of beauty. There aren't many quarterbacks able to juke JJ Watt out of his shoes and get away from him then throw a completion 40+ yards on the field on the run. Allen was pretty streaky in college so I really would've liked to have seen how he did after that beautiful completion to Benjamin. Maybe the light went on and he finally decided to let 'er rip. But we'll never know. Here's hoping The Franchise is healthy enough to play at home against the Bears.
  11. Hold on - did we trade for Tom Brady and he legally changed his name to Derek Anderson? Otherwise I can’t see why you can make these assumptions based on a journeyman who was sitting on his couch just over a week ago and in his prime was the other team’s QB in the 3-6 game nearly a decade ago.
  12. The strategy being to unload all the dead cap into 2018 in order to be free of “debt” going forward. I don’t think that’s a terrible strategy, myself.
  13. People are in for a rude awakening on Sunday if they’re expecting something resembling competence.
  14. Yeah there really is no point in watching these next 2-3 games. I feel bad for the defense as they deserve better than that but it is what it is.
  15. Peterman should start on Sunday. If he’s a train wreck again then put in the underprepared vet. Then Anderson can start the MNF game. But McDermott has nothing to lose at this point. The perception cannot possibly be lower than it is right now.
  16. Does this mean McBeane are on the hot seat?
  17. This post is amazing.
