Shout out to the Pegulas. It pains me to ever compliment billionaires because they are dregs on society but it's certainly refreshing that we have an owner who is willing to allow his General Manager to spend as much as he's possibly able to within the rules without micromanaging. Bills fans don't mention this enough. Paying players while Ralph Wilson was owner was like pulling teeth.

"13 seconds" is the type of thing that lingers with head coaches and quarterbacks throughout their careers. That is, until they're able to overcome it with a championship. But it also makes attaining that championship that much harder over time.

Our new punter will be (Update pg. 38 - Martin Signed)
Wayne Arnold replied to JMM's topic in The Stadium Wall
No. Bills didn't want him. Kern's dad was saving face. -
Thank God we held on to our punter.

Running backs and wide receivers are a dime-a-dozen.

"With Bobby Hart and Greg Van Roten, we might have the worst OLine depth in the league. God help this team if one or more of our starting OLinemen are injured." How am I changing the position?
-
They receive input from the coaches, obviously. But you really think it was Kromer's choice not to invest in better OLinemen? Maybe that 2nd round pick should've been spent on the best available OLineman. Maybe they should've invested more of their free agency money on OLinemen. Things like that are above Kromer's pay grade.

Kromer has nothing to do with personnel. He works with what he's given.

Thoughts: Gotta feel for Mike Love. Has been with the team for four years now - works hard, plays well - and gets cut every time. Disappointed in keeping Sweeney over Howard. Gave a guy who is still a physical specimen a guaranteed $3 million contract only to cut him for a guy with limited talent who has already peaked. Not the smartest. With Bobby Hart and Greg Van Roten, we might have the worst OLine depth in the league. God help this team if one or more of our starting OLinemen are injured.

Why not? Is Singletary an All-Pro? If you choose a running back in the top 3 rounds he'd better be your starter for the next four years. Just my personal opinion. Otherwise, what's the point? Blackshear could've easily handled being the third-string. Could've drafted our backup Tight End or Offensive Lineman with that pick.
-
Don't forget spending a 2nd round pick on a running back. Who proceeded to not only not earn the starting job but isn't even the backup.

Still love Beane but this is on point. It's been a brutal 2022 for him.
-
This is a horrible take. Freddy was the best running back in the NFL during the 2011 season (at least). Marshawn asked to be traded because he knew FJ was better.
-
Tommy Sweeney is this generation's Chris Kelsay.
-
He's a good kid. Only thing I have against him is that Beane spent a 2nd round pick on a running back. That's against my policy. Now Blackshear looks better.

Good OC's build their offense around the strength of the roster/players.

I think we keep only two Tight Ends: Knox and Morris.
