  1. Same here. Richard is who I want. McDermott reminds me too much of Dick Jauron. Just a dud personality without Belichick's brilliance. A career DC who will fail as a HC, IMO.
  2. Unless they want to interview someone who's unavailable until their team is eliminated.
  3. Smith hasn't been an OC in ten years. And he was never very good at it. Just keep Lynn as OC/AHC. He's earned at least that much. We're not hiring a defensive coordinator. We're hiring a head coach.
  4. What a dud that would be. Lord I hope not.
  5. I've never cared more about anything in my life.
  6. User Actions Following Adam SchefterVerified account‏@AdamSchefter Bills plan to give new head coach more power within organziation: http://es.pn/2j5CpNe 9:55 AM - 8 Jan 2017 http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18430457/buffalo-bills-plan-give-new-head-coach-more-power-organization The Buffalo Bills are planning to give their new head coach more power within the organization, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The Bills, who finished the season at 7-9, are seeking a replacement for Rex Ryan, who was fired on Dec. 27 after less than two seasons as Buffalo's coach. Bills owner Terry Pegula told The Associated Press on Monday that he made "an executive decision" to fire Ryan, affirming comments made earlier in the day by GM Doug Whaley. Whaley had denied having involvement in Ryan's firing, saying that Ryan asked to speak privately with Pegula at the end of their weekly conference call. Pegula informed Ryan during that private conversation that he would not return beyond this season, and Ryan recommended that Anthony Lynn take over as the Bills' interim coach for Week 17. The Bills formally interviewed Lynn for the full-time head-coaching job on Thursday. They also interviewed Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin on Saturday and plan to interview Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard on Sunday. Buffalo also has reached out to Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich, a former quarterback for the Bills. Though Pegula was planning to wait until after the season to evaluate Ryan's job, he said he probably would've come to the same conclusion. Pegula said he based his decision on his own observations, input he has received from his front-office staff over the course of the season and on previous discussions he had with Ryan regarding the team's struggles. "[Whaley] had input on the basis of conversations throughout the year, what the problems were,'' Pegula said. "But did Doug ever say, 'Are we firing our coach, are we keeping our coach?' We never had that conversation. I took it upon myself to tell Rex on the basis of conversations about the games and the aftermath of certain games that, hey, things aren't going well." Information from The Associated Press was used in this report.
  7. HC - Kris Richard DC - Gus Bradley OC - Anthony Lynn QB - Tyrod Taylor Draft - Jamal Adams, Safety, LSU See you in the playoffs.
  8. Ray Horton is available. Any takers?
  9. I'd like Kris Richard with an experienced 4-3 DC and retaining Lynn at OC and the entire offensive staff (including Tyrod).
  10. It's hilarious when people act as if quarterbacks like Peyton Manning and Aaron Rodgers wouldn't have been great if not for the amazing coach they had (whoever it was). Peyton was only great because he was developed by this guy...
  11. 7-9 with the 10th best offense in the league. A rookie quarterback is not going to elevate the efficiency of the offense to the point of winning four more games. That would probably require the #1 or #2 offense. And it's laughable to think Trubisky is capable of that.
  12. I don't want our GM and owner(s) deciding who the coach should or should not put on his staff. If it doesn't work out then it's on the head coach.
  13. Just what this team needs - giving up more picks for a huge gamble.
  14. Every quarterback has bad games. That doesn't mean he's incapable of being the quarterback of a Super Bowl team. We saw what a quarterback and offense who's "holding the team back" look like. 2013 and 2014. Taylor has led this offense to back-to-back Top 10 seasons.
  15. If Taylor has proven anything these last two seasons, it's that he doesn't hold the team back. If you can't see that then you're blind.
  16. If Lynn doesn't land any of the other HC positions I don't know why that would have to be the case if the HC wants to keep him and the offensive system in tact.
  17. If they end up hiring this Dick Jauron clone and releasing Tyrod and going to laugh my ass off and officially be done with the Bills.
  18. I'm so sick of reading this bull ****. There isn't a quarterback alive who can get a team to a Super Bowl all by himself.
  19. Coaches Goodwin has worked for/with in the NFL still employed Mike Tomlin (Steelers HC) Bruce Arians (Cardinals HC) Kirby Wilson (Browns Run Game Coordinator) Ray Horton (Browns DC - may be getting replaced) Bob Ligashesky (Special Teams - Illinois) Amos Jones (Cardinals Special Teams Coordinator) Lou Spanos (Titans Linebackers coach) Sean Kugler (UTEP Head Coach) Scottie Montgomery (East Carolina Head Coach) Jerry Olsavsky (Steelers Inside LInebackers coach) Carnell Lake (Steelers defensive backs coach) Chuck Pagano (Colts HC) Clyde Christensen (Dolphins OC) David Walker (Lions running backs coach) Greg Manusky (Redskins outside linebackers coach) Jeff Fitzgerald (Colts linebackers coach) Roy Anderson (49ers safeties coach) Tom Moore (Cardinals AHC/OA) Freddie Kitchens (Cardinals QB coach) Stump Mitchell (Cardinals RB coach) Darryl Drake (Cardinals WR coach) Rick Christophel (Cardinals TE coach) Larry Zierlein (Cardinals Asst. OLine coach) Steve Heiden (Special Teams Assistant) Todd Bowles (Jets HC) Brentson Buckner (Cardinals DLine coach) James Bettcher (Cardinals DC) Mike Caldwell (Jets AHC/Inside Linebackers coach) Kevin Ross (Cardinals cornerbacks coach) Tom Pratt (Cardinals pass rush specialist) Bob Sanders (Cardinals Linebackers coach) Larry Foote (Cardinals Assistant Inside Linebackers)
  20. Yes apparently we have already let Taylor walk and already hired Anthony Lynn a week ago and the coaching "search" was fake. I'm informed because I read the Buffalo News.
  21. You really don't think that the general fan consensus effects much of the decisions made by the vast majority of professional sports teams?
  22. That's why I'm thinking a lot of these "leaks" about Tyrod not being retained are intentional. Leaks from OBD to read both Bills fan reaction and reactions from media and other teams. The more information they can use to assess Taylor's value the better.
