  1. I don't think there's much of a difference between a 5-11 team and a 7-9 team at all. Much less "a huge difference." What's this guy talking about?
  2. That's ultimately up to the parent, obviously. But even today when the sport is more dangerous than it will be in the future, as long as each child is monitored closely throughout their playing careers (no concussions and brain function is performing normally) then they're fine.
  3. You're discounting the medical advancements that will also improve over time. Soon a person's predisposition to brain damage will be able to be measured (not all brains are the same) and medication will be provided to those who do suffer those type of injuries.
  4. No-brainer on his part. I wonder if that type of contract guarantee (teams paying for education later on) is allowed in the NFL and NBA.
  5. Fun fact: that was Charles Manson's favorite book.
  6. Student-athletes (at least those who participate in D1 football and basketball) should be allowed to "major" in "athletics" during their 4-5 years representing the program. Then after their eligibility is finished they should be allowed to receive an education for free from the same college/university in a real field at any time they wish. This is to protect/benefit those who have little-to-no professional careers after college.
  7. Does that number include all of those players who were cut?
  8. I'd be fine - perhaps even better - with a league that more closely resembled flag football. I'm sick and tired of the constant injuries. Not only as a human being but simply as a fan of the game. I only have daughters so luckily I don't have to worry about it but if I had one or more sons I'd let them play if they really wanted to and were passionate about it. However, one bad concussion and I'm telling him he's done with the sport.
  9. Dennison's unapologetic bluntness is so much more informative and refreshing than Rex Ryan's "I love Tyrod. I really think he's great. *says lame, daddy-look-at-me joke* Next question, please."
  10. I hope he attempts a dumb shoulder tackle in Week 1 and misses half the season.
  11. Bills fans demolished him. Some might say they're being petty and thin-skinned but he's obviously trolling and the countless Hogan photos were pretty funny.
  12. I rooted for them last February against the Falcons. We don't need yet another first-time Super Bowl champ before the Bills get one. That said, I didn't root very hard, obviously. And I felt really good when they were down 3-28. But then when Brady went on a tear I rooted for him/them. Because they've already proven they're the greatest team ever. So who cares at this point? All we can really root for at this point is Brady's retirement.
  13. I wonder if Redskins fans would be feeling this way about Cousins if he had been chosen in the 1st round of the 2012 NFL Draft as opposed to the 4th round.
  14. Yes, he was. When Vince Young tried out for the Bills he was the single worst football player I have ever seen.
  15. FACT: Tom Brady was 4th string as a rookie
  16. Or perhaps too much banana in the hammock?
  17. I mean, who hasn't broken someone's nose for taking too long to fetch a beach umbrella, amirite?
  18. Posting pics of Eric Decker's wife just because it feels like the right thing to do...
  19. Why would it sting? 4th round pick who's never shown anything. No one would care.
  20. Of course! Fun Fact: Jesse actually lasted longer than Applegate's second attempt starring in a network sitcom (also on NBC) Up All Night with Will Arnett and Maya Rudolph.
