  1. Sounds like a bunch of snowflakes. Maybe the "average fan" should toughen up and be less sensitive.
  2. Sometimes the country needs a wake up call. There are so many in this country who (a) think there is no more racial equality problem, (b) doesn't care that there is a racial equality problem, or © is glad there is a racial equality problem because it benefits them personally. To me, the flag/anthem represents exactly what you say - the idealism of freedom, liberty and equality and to honor those who stood for them (especially but not excluded to the military). That's why I will always stand. But that flag/anthem doesn't mean the same to everyone. And even if it does, it doesn't prevent one from making a statement in this way when they find it necessary. Why would the "average white guy in the stands" feel "mad and disrespected" by the black players who are exercising their first amendment right? If they're mad then that's on them.
  3. I appreciate your compassion and willingness to understand someone else's perception and the complicated nature of being human. However, in this case I think it's more than fair to say Dareus has underachieved since signing one of the highest contracts in the NFL. Just based on what he accomplished in 2011-2014 and what little he has done since then.
  4. He was a beast for Syracuse last year. I was shocked when he went undrafted and am still shocked that he's not on an NFL roster. He'll find a practice squad somewhere and will be getting real reps by December at least. Syracuse plays in the ACC and has one of the toughest schedules in the country every year. It ain't the MAC.
  5. Makes sense that Dareus would choose a guy who threatened suicide to his girlfriend because she hurt his feelings to be his role model rather than a man whose done nothing but the right thing on and off the field for 10+ years in the same organization.
  6. It was the heat. Really difficult to get drunk when it's that hot out.
  7. Sounds like something Yogi Berra would have said. We should have known this was destined for failure when Dareus held his contract-extension interview with Chris Brown on buffalobills.com high as a kite.
  8. I tend to agree with you there but at the same time the HC's construction of his coaching staff shouldn't be held hostage by one high-maintenance player regardless of how overpaid he is.
  9. What would be considered a "true mentor?" Last year he got Karl Dunbar fired and replaced with John Blake, but that didn't seem to have much effect.
  10. Dareus has no interest in being great. He's fine with just being a guy because it's easier. That's obvious not only through his actions but things he says, like how he's "just a piece of the puzzle." It's a cop-out for underachieving.
  11. There's nothing anyone can do to get Dareus re-engaged. He's an adult now whether he acts like it or not. It's up to him.
  12. People having been saying "this is Kyle's last season with the Bills" for the last 5-6 years. If it's up to the coaches and front office he's not going anywhere. Ultimately it will be up to Kyle but I don't see it being a slam dunk that he calls it quits after this season. He's still playing at an extremely high level.
  13. 4) DE Shaq Lawson Snaps on the Field: 43/70 Grade vs. Broncos: B+ - For those that listen to the Bills Beat podcast (you can subscribe on iTunes here), you’ll have known of the type of effort that Shaq Lawson has put it on a weekly basis to start the 2017 season. He already has three sacks to his name, but that isn’t the most impressive part of his game at this stage of his career. Lawson has proven over the first three weeks to be a ferocious run defender in this scheme, bull rushing his offensive lineman wherever he wants in an effort to either make the play, or to set up one of his defenders to bring down the ball carrier. If he continues to learn from Jerry Hughes in the ways of rushing the passer (the way that Hughes did with Dwight Freeney in Indianapolis), he could become a big part of this defense for the foreseeable future. He’s off to a great start in his career. http://www.wkbw.com/sports/bills/joe-b-buffalo-bills-all-22-review-vs-denver-broncos-9_26_17-?page=2
  14. "You're welcome lol"
  15. That's a good one. Definitely deserves its own thread.
  16. Unfortunately, not all juries adhere to this. In fact, many do not. See Scott Peterson, the West Memphis Three, Frederick Clay, Ryan Ferguson, Lamar Johnson, Adrian Thomas, Lamarr Monson, etc.
  17. You've been brain-washed by conservative propaganda. As for veterans, this man says it best... http://www.billrausch.net/blog/i-can-stand-you-can-kneel-we-can-all-get-along
  18. It started falling apart when your boy Trump was elected. But I'm optimistic that something like that will never happen again and we'll see record voting numbers in the next election and as a result we'll have a President that better represents America.
  19. Is that how they convinced you to attend the Klan meetings?
  20. A revolt? Is that what you conservative snowflakes think this is? Good Lord.
  21. Kelly didn't say that. He said "If you don't think our country is good enough, then leave! Go somewhere else." In other words, he's a knuckle-dragging meathead.
  22. We knew as soon as Lynn and the entire offensive coaching staff left that there would likely be a step back in 2017. A lot of the problems on offense is the result of an offensive line's growing pains in learning this new blocking scheme, not to mention our most valuable OLineman (Glenn) being hurt. We've faced very good defenses the first two games and they have stacked the box on the Bills to stop the running game. Tyrod and the receivers need to do a better job and when they do the running game will open up.
