  1. Great article I love TSN because they cover the bills more then ESPN

    http://www.tsn.ca/nfl/story/?id=402002

Eric Wood is quoted saying they wouldn't trade him for anyone...

Or as coach Chan Gailey says: "He can win championships."

From the ability to take a big hit and play hurt, as Fitzpatrick did last season, or accepting pressure and blame...More proof he played injured last year in case there is any more doubters....

I know theres plenty of Fitz doubters but normally this team doesn't speak this highly of a player unless they truly think they are capable. I do believe he can do the job after watching him in Cincy I thought he had all the ability to lead a team to victory and proves he isn't afraid to take the blame or bear the weight of a loss on his shoulders.

Win. I don't care about talk, I don't care that they trust him blah blah blah. It is time to prove it on the field.

  2. I am sick of the Bills and the fans clinging to feel good stories, I want results. Ralph has paid a ton and given Nix and Gailey a ton of room to do what is needed for this team. I feel this is the best overall talent we have had in a long time, and this is the best overall coaching staff possibly ever. We have NEVER had a DC as good as the 'stache' and I am sorry this isn't even debatable.

That said, Fitz has had plenty of time. He now has a QB coach directly working with him, full offseason, was the clear cut starter all of last year, all this offseason and will be all this season. If he doesn't make a significant improvement, he isn't going to at this stage of his career. It will be time to part ways and clean up the main position that is holding us back.

He doesn't need Brees numbers, he needs to put up a much better completion %, get the ball downfield much better and have a MUCH better TD to Int ratio and get us over the 10 win mark. If he doesn't its time to part ways.

I personally pray this guy does it, I am ready for this position to finally be settled.

  3. COnsidering he wants fitzgerald money and IMO would cost a 1 he's not worth it. The wr position on the Bills isn't plug and play so I just don't think it would be worth it at this late of a stage.

Hell yes he is worth it. He is hands down a top 10 WR and currently the best at taking the top off an opposing defense in the NFL and he is YOUNG!

  4. Great trade for the jets, if he can stay somewhat healthy. he'll make 1 mill in the last year of his deal. He's a huge upgrade over Wayne Hunter. Crafty pick up. A steal if he plays.

As the Panthers are my #2 team I can say this..... BWAAHAHHAHAAHA SUCKERS! He sucks. The guy is a good RT at best and is NEVER on the field. There is no way in hell Carolina would EVER trade him if he were worth a damn.

Remember how NE screwed us into thinking Bledsoe was still a stud? This is MUCH worse.

Looks like the Panthers put one over on the Jets.

    ^^

    This

  5. The playoffs mean nothing to the NFL. All it does is clear the cluster !@#$ of screwing good teams over that deserve to play for the national championship up. and NO college players should never be paid and NO a 'free market system' will never be allowed by owners.

The owners were prepared to disband the NFL and shut down their teams and reform if they lost in court.

At what point will the employees understand they are just that, employees and they won't ever be anything more than that?

  6. People are still bitching about Fitz? he is the QB, and no amount of whining is going to change it. We had a great offseason, the team should be much better, YES we can win a superbowl with Fitz, worse QB's have won it.

Christ folks we had a GREAT offseason so far, for once in the last 15 freaking years we can really talk about the positives on this team and there are more than enough of them to keep you busy.

  7. I think like you, everybody who has ever played football be it pop warner , high school, college or pro you know you are going to get hurt at some time.

I played street ball, high school and college and I got hurt every yr I played in some sort of way. Even got dinged a couple of times. But the point is you know the risks when you put on that uniform.

I dont see how they gonna win the case. Following this one closely.

I agree they should get more money, the league can afford it. But it's not the leagues fault that they didnt have high paydays back in the day.

The guys that built the league to what it is are just unlucky they payed when they did.

Exactly. They are pissed all these young kids have it easier and get paid all this stupid amount of money. Guess what? THAT IS LIFE!

  8. They're working this angle hard. Truth is fitz never had poor mechanics.

    ^^

This. Bottom line they hitched their wagon to a backup QB. Fitz may end up being THE reason this team doesn't see a superbowl. If he starts to falter this year I see Young replacing him. I don't see how they can keep Fitz after this year if he doesn't deliver.

  9. Sue the NFLPA too and I wont have a problem with this

Yeah where was the NFLPA during all of this? Oh thats right padding its pockets too. That said, they aren't going to win and odds are it might even get tossed out. So many legal issues here that can get this tossed its not even funny.

This could be the end of football as we know it. If the players win it will give them the ability to go after Helmet Manufacturers, College football, and High school football. AT some point the cost would be to high for most high schools and some colleges to have a football program.

honestly i don't think the players have a good case. it's called inherent risk. You know that as a football player there is a chance to get hurt. Body part shouldn't matter.

They won't win. Assumption of risk, and how the hell can someone sue decades after an event happened? Statute of limitations for starters, and how are you suing and employer today that his making every possible change and safety upgrade possible? TODAYS NFL can't pay for yesterdays NFL.

Sorry guys, this just isn't going to happen.

Also I know Joe D is loved by old school Bills fans, but the man was paid for what he did in accordance with how the League was making money back then. His retirement was set the same, but now the NFL is a multi billion dollar business the old school guys want more money. Ok increase their retirements a little but to me its pure bull **** to keep asking for more and more money.
