Look what a new head coach hire can do to a team, with NO OFF SEASON to speak of....One new HCing coaching hire in Jim Harbough and the team is not only in the playoffs but could be fighting for home field thru out.....amazing!

A refurbished failure of a QB who has basically stunk it up his entire career until he plays for a HC that knows how to set up the offense to help him.
Is Alex Smith suddenly an "elite" QB? Oh, but the team is winning, and is 11-3 under a new HC? He must be a an "elite" " Franchise" QB because a team can't win without one...
I don't understand this fan base, half the fans here think Gailey is doing good at 5-9. Half the fans here think Buddy Nix is doing a good job. Most of the fans are still blaming Jauron / Levy for lack of talent, and still state its lack of player talent that is responsible for all the losses
What a crock of horse-crap, its the lack of talent in coaching that has ruined this franchise over the last decade,and continues to ruin it, pure and simple.
Look at what Houstons Defense has done with a single head coaching change.
See Ralph has always thought coaching was over rated and never wanted to pay big to get a really good or great one and get out of their way. Coaching is still vital in this league

I know a lot of people are down on the Bills (including me), and people have been questioning Fitz's play since his contract extension. Granted, the team has sucked since the Toronto game. I don't know if Fitz has been playing hurt since getting nailed by London Fletcher. IMO, Fitz is a good QB and needs more weapons around him. Fred Jackson is 50% of the offense. The other legitmate weapons Fitz has are Stevie Johnson & Scott Chandler. If you compare the stats of Jim Kelly's 3 best years with Buffalo, with Fitz stats of this year, Fitz is not that far off. It's possible Fitz could beat Kelly's highest yards in a season. Right now, Fitz is at 3,329, with 2 games to go. Kelly had 3,844 in 1991, with a much better Bills offense.
IMO, I think in order for the Bills offense to be successful, they need to draft a good #2 WR (assuming they resign Johnson) and another TE to compliment Chandler. If the Bills could get a good TE combo, like NE has with Hernandez & Gronkowski, along with 2 good WR's & Jackson & Spiller in the backfield, then the Bills will have a successful offense. I think Fitz is a good journeyman QB and should be the starter for the next 2-3 years, while Boss Hogg & Cooter fill the holes on the team, and create depth.

I've watched every one of his starts at OU. He's Trent Edwards II. Great passer with no rush but as soon as the bad guys start pressing he's lost. Great college QB behind a great O line but he will fail as a pro.
not only that, go back and watch his games he is a read half the field QB. He only reads the play side of the field then craps the bed if what he sees isn't open

Colin Cowherd was basically saying today that a billionaire from Chicago (the new owner of Jags) may have said he wants or intends to keep the team in Florida...but with a new stadium approved in LA, he'll move them in 3 years. Jacksonville can't sell out their upcoming Monday night football game (and that's with 25 percent of the seats blocked off already - they are still 10,000 seats short - FOR A MONDAY NIGHT GAME!!!!). The new owner bought the team to make money...what better opportunity than a brand new stadium in a huge city. In my opinion, despite our team record, we still place high on the attendance list....and we DO have the best fans in the NFL (Green Bay is a close second in my opinion)....so there ya have it....straight from Cowherd (LOL). We're safe.
We have the best fans? Wait till the new owner says Bills fans have to start paying realistic ticket prices. We will see then

Bottomline is you do not build a winning team, with depth, by continually cutting your best players and keeping the backups.
We did it with Poz.. let him walk and kept his back ups. How much better would we have been if they had paid Poz and signed Barnett, and let Davis or dang near any of the others walk. Same with Evans. Evans, Johnson, Nelson is a much better WR core than Johnson, Nelson, take your pick. And we could go to several other positions. Just face it, sooner or later we have to start keeping our better players, and yes.... gasp... paying them more money. Not ever player has to be the best player on then team. But I'd rather have an immature Stevie J. than a nice mature great guy like Donald Jones any day of the week.
Here is what many Bills fans including you don't get, 90+% of our players are backups. We keep putting backup talent on the field and trying to pass them off as starters. The players many of you want to overpay are *Gasp* not anywhere near worth the contracts they get from the Bills

I think Jacksonville will win their final game against the colts making them 5-11, Washington will beat the Vikings at home next week making them 6-10, and Carolina will beat TB at home this week to make their final record 6-10. I am hoping that Miami will lose one of their two remaining games, but I just don't see that happening. Of course, I see Buffalo losing their two remaining games.

I have us picking the best player available (IMO) at a position of need. A Miami win over the Jets or the Patsies could shake things up tremendously, and possibly give us a chance at one of the top 3 QB prospects (for those of you out there who want a QB). I guess we'll see how it all unfolds. What do you think
First off Why the hell does Miami draft ahead of us when they swept us? SOS is one thing but they swept us so we draft ahead of them. Next, WR? are you kidding me? Our QB sucks, OL sucks, still need 4 starting LB's if we stay 3-4 ect. Screw WR

Look the kid has above average ability, is extremely immature, unreliable and NOT a professional in any sense of the word. No way in hell I pay this kid. but again he has become some Buffalo fan cult hero because he is a feel good story and made some decent plays last year. So what? He is another #2 talent that buffalo is pushing out there as a #1 ( see Lee Evans) that everyone will make excuses for.
I just pray these guys don't pay him like they did lee or Fitz and tie even more money up in average players

...in trying to talk myself into coming back as a fan of this team next season. I've been a diehard fan since 1988. I've seen a lot of good, but over the course of the last 12 years, seen way more bad. I even promised a boycott for the final three games this year, but I caved and turned the game on today. And guess what happened?...well, you know what happened. If I was the owner of this team, or the GM, I'd really have to put myself in the fans' shoes. What reason do I/we give the great, loyal fan base of the Buffalo Bills to come back next year? Its been 12 years since we've been in the playoffs. We've had one winning season in that span. How in the world do we even get half of the people in the seats at the stadium? Is it REALLY this difficult to build a winner? To get competent and relavant football minds to run this team? To actually sign people who can play and, or more importantly WANT to play here? To actually HIT on a single draft pick?
Guys, this is ridiculous. I know, I know, I'm beating the already perverbial "dead horse" here. But year after year of watching meaningless football into December is wearing on this particular, loyal Bills fan. This year really felt different. Do we really deserve this? Haven't we been through enough? Wide Right...Four Superbowl losses, the Music City Miracle, and now, 12 years and counting without a playoff berth.
We've given so much passion, loyalty and committment to a team that year in and year out gives us virtually nothing in return...
And I just don't know if I can do it again...
I have been around since 86' or so and I am past done. I haven't bought nor allowed my family to buy for me, anything in years. I refuse to pad Ralph Wilson's pockets. I haven't paid to go to a Bills game in years. I love the TEAM, but can't stand how ownership ruins it.

I know many want to believe and even rush to his defense in belief, but you are right he doesn't. If he cared he would have realized a few years ago it is past time to sell. This game has not only passed him by, but he is too old. Many will talk about his mental acuity for a 93 year old, well 93 is 93 and no the man doesn't have a better grasp than me or anyone else doubting his ability to run this team.
What bothers me is why is he worried about taxes as at worst his family will net over 350 million. I mean how much damn money do they need? There is also his insurance businesses so Im sorry money isn't an issue, Greed and Ego (I.e. its my toy and I am gonna do what I want) that is keeping him from selling. Now his cronies will try to say its to keep it from moving, but no one can keep that from happening and NO buyer is going to put it in their sell contract that they have to keep it here.
Its pure ego.
If he cared, this offseason it would be sold and he could just sit back and live off multi millions for his last days.

Rumor has it that there are several "outs" in Fitz' contract. There is one out that says if they release him before Week 1, then they are off the hook for the remaining part of his contract. There is also an "out" after year 3, Most think it's unlikely that the Bills release Fitz this year, but it's definitely possible they draft his successor and get rid of him after year 3.
Depleted or not....there is no excuse to lose games in a row. That is pathetic.
From what NFLN reported a couple weeks ago if they cut him before the 7th day of the new NFL calendar year, they only owe him like 3.5 million. I say cut his ass, pay him the 3.5 and move on

I think we are drafting in the top 8 which still can give us a quality QB to develop. I can tell you right now I move UP to get RG III. I feel this kid has all the talent Cam did (but not his pure size) and throws the ball much, much better and reads defenses better than cam did coming out.
I can't see Gailey not begging to get this guy as he is everything he would love to have in a QB. GREAT mobility, super strong and accurate arm... yeah Gailey wants this guy. AND it would give Nix and Gailey the excuse they need to continue the rebuild plan.

Oh it will be top 10, I realistically can't see us winning another game. Denver is on a roll and our D can't stop a High School team, and NE will have home field to play for AT NE and will want revenge. That game could be one of the worst blowouts we have seen since SB 27. 5-11 is my prediction. That should be good for top 7 in the draft

Please draft a QB if possible and develop him. We need to draft one and just start putting pieces in place around him. This team is 3 MORE years off so the original '3 Year plan' is just not going to happen. Lets do what the good teams do and draft a guy and bring him along while putting pieces around him please.
And can we dump this worthless attempt at the 3-4? When Williams comes back put him and Dareus side by side in the middle, keep edwards as a DE, find another DE in FA and lets go back to a 4-3. Put some draft picks in the OL, LB and WR And lets start doing this right.

My OPINION is just that but it is also based on over 50 years of facts if you just go research them. I am not going to come on here and say 'I have these facts from so and so within the org' or whatever.
Look it has been the same ever since 1996, I have told people for over a decade, things were not going to change with Ralph as owner and that he lucked into the best GM of our time and let his ego get in the way and fired him. Now it doesn't take a rocket surgeon (my mix of two analogies) to figure out that many of us have been right about Ralph and the Bills situation. It also isn't hard to figure out many things if you look at them from a business perspective and that is exactly what the Bills are, a business.
But I am done with this conversation because it always ends the same, the facts keep presenting themselves each year and the koolaid drinkers keep whistling through the grave yard hoping against hope.

All I can say is I know unequivically you are 100% wrong. I will also tell you that it is about 99% sure that the Bills will be in Buffalo for the forseeable future. I can not provide specifics so don't ask. I do however know what I've been told and nothing is a sure thing so I can not say 100% but I know that there is a plan in place. 8-8.

Ralph Wilson only cares about money. He is the luckiest SOB on the planet by lucking into Bill Polian being on his staff when he was, and by landing the Buffalo Franchise where their fans are more than content with below mediocrity as long as the team doesn't move. No where else in America would have put up with this from him. Wasn't Jauron 7-9 all 3 years? What was Gailey last year? What does it look like this year? The only difference between the two is one was 'Eeyore' and one is a hick that somewhat tells it straight that the team sucks. Say it, don't say it in the end it all = this team stinks.

Define 'Most'. From all I read on anything having to do with the Bills 'most' agree and are finally coming to the realization it is what it is. And out of curiosity what Billionaire (since there are a limited number in the US) is going to sink nearly a billion dollars in this franchise and keep them in a market they won't see a ROI on? See you still think and talk like a fan, I am coming from a realistic fan standpoint that has zero vested interest in the city of Buffalo or surrounding communities. Now I will say if the Fans of the Bills actually want to pay realistic ticket prices, Businesses will pay realistic prices on luxury suites and buy them, someone will pay for naming rights, the County will pony up hundreds of millions for a new stadium on the riverfront... ok it has a shot. A slim one but a shot none the less. And I can tell you for ME to keep that team there that in addition to what I previously listed I would make PSL's mandatory.
Now Local Buffalo fans will say 'but we can't afford that/ this economy can't support that'. I will counter with 'Exactly' which is why they will end up moving.

Face it. Whatever this staff is doing,which isn`t much. Is going to be wiped clean with a new owner, in the near future. So we will be going in another direction soon. Another rebuilding stint. Just hope it`s in Buff. I`m not getting any younger.

We need to draft a QB and develop him while adding talent around him, that is what good franchises do. But good franchises also have quality guys in place to draft the right players, Buffalo doesn't have that.

I think you're on to something. They signed white guys Eric Moulds, Takeo Spikes, and Lee Evans to huge deals, and they let black guys like Paul Pozluszny walk.
and overpaid two safety's in the same offseason making them the highest paid safety's in the NFL at the time in Troy Vincent and Lawyer Milloy. What about that white guy, Sam Adams?
