  1. Lindell is as good of a kicker as Baby Joe Mesi is a Boxer.

Both have very good percentages, because the people controlling when they will work (Coach Mularky, and whoever Mesi manager is) won't let them go up against a big challenge. Lindell's percentage is good because anything over 45 is either a punt, fake punt, or 4th and go for it. Mesi never lost because he never fought anyone worth fighting.

I'm an analogy guy and this is as close to perfect as you can get. To take it a step further over 40 yards is a legitimate heavyweight! I hope this guy doesn't cost us in the playoffs.

  2. I'm home in bed with the Flu that is going around. My head is spinning and I feel like sh--!

I could not imagine getting on a football field and playing football for 60 minutes. I read that a few of the Vikings players have the bug also.

If you feel some slight choking coming on you might have what the Viking players have.

  3. In a football freak of nature the Bills have to give the Steelers 9 points.  So I don't know how to bet this one.  SURE the Bills will win.

But will they beat the second string Steelers by 10 points ??

For bet-bet-bettors like me   this is a tricky part of the regular season.

It's a lot like the preseason. A total crapshoot. But the 12th man is gonna turn this into a rout. Bills 51 Steelers 3 :)

  4. Lindell has been very good at close range but he is questionable on longer field goals and his kickoffs are weak.

I think that Mike Nugent of Ohio state could help the special teams be even more dominant.

I would not be disappointed if the Bills took Mike Nugent in the 3rd round

It's a no brainer. Take him and our over 40 yds achilles heel will be healed.

  5. Sorry had to vent

We leave Long Island at 10:30, cruise traffic free upstate, getting over the bridges in record time, we are travelling in my conversion van and my wife's 2000 Taurus. My 16 year old son is coming to see his first NFL game live (more importantly his first Bills tailgate)

The Taurus was bought from her Mom with 28K on it. As we pass through the EZpass lane on 87 North at Woddbury, the transmission completely revolted. Car is now dead.

We get towed to the nearest Ford dealer, they inform us after an hour wait, that yes the patient has died, and no, our warranty doesn't cover it. cost $2850.

The people were very nice and said we could wait till maybe today, maybe monday for the car. I told them we were headed up for the game , so they said ok, get a rental and we will help. The girl was great she located an Enterprise in the town, and we waited about 2 hoursfor a car, nothing doing (small town, 3 cars in the fleet it seemed). The woman at the dealer located another enterprise in Goshen and we picked it up and resumed the trip. After 11 1/2 hours I am in Buffalo, hoping that I can have a Visa experiance

    Taurus Transmission  - $2850.89

    Rental Car                - $ 267.35

    Tickets to game          - $80.00

    Hats/Cowbell              - $73.72

Bills win and get in      -Priceless

What are you worried about? You still have CowBell to pull you through. Give it a few extra clangs and things will be OK!

  6. Dear Lord,

I know football is not a priority right now and we pray for those suffering in south east asia and the middle east. However as a humble Bills fan who has suffered countless heartbreaking close calls I am asking that you intervene in two football games this Sunday. We can handle the Steelers but you have to give Mr. Martz his brain back for that day resulting in a Rams win. Then let Peyton's and the Colts egos give them the fortitude to beat "The Snake" in Denver.

Finally I promise never mention "Wide Right" and "no Goal" ever again!

    Amen

    John :(

Feel Free to Contribute He's always listening.

Explanation on Patton reference. To the best of my knowledge he had an army Chaplain write a prayer for good weather during the "Battle of the Bulge" so that we could kill Germans. It worked. ;)

  7. I've never been a big fan of Bledsoe but I'd have to say at this stage, Drew.

Pennington is a head case, and all things being equal these days I'd take Bledsoe's experience over Pennington's shakiness, anyday.  DB has a much better arm also, even before Pennington hurt his rotator cuff.

NUT as a wise poster once told me. "Let sleeping dogs lie" We can fire up the debates after the Super Bowl! ;)
