1. I'd play 'em.  There were a couple of years during the SB runs where Marv sat a bunch of guys during the last game (against Detroit - loss; against the Redskins - loss) where it didn't seem to effect the next games play.  But I agree...you keep up with what got you there.

Playin with Big Mo is like playin with fire. If it goes out your screwed. Hey not bad I just made that up.

  2. I keep checking myself to see if my analysis is that of a "homer" and it is. The Rams looked bad Monday (in fact I thought Jackson looked slow while most thought he had a great game) and the Colts are gonna mail it in. What's nice about the NFL is that the games will be played and there are always surprises. If there is any justice at all we'll get in. The Bills are better than the Bronco's and the Jets dammit!

  3. As someone who lived in Charlotte for over 20 years, I can personally attest that the sole reason the Hornets moved away was George Shinn.

He constantly meddled with the team, influenced poor drafting in some cases, traded good players away, for the sake of saving a buck. The Hornets drafted Kobe Bryant and promptly traded him to the Lakers for Vlade Divac.

The last straw was when he whined that he was losing money, and needed to build a new stadium to replace the Charlotte Coliseum (built in 1988), which he of couse wanted funded by the City. The dispute turned very ugly, and the people turned on him when he threatened to move the team.

Charlotte led the league several years in a row, the numbers are there if you care to look. Don't ever let anyone tell you the team failed because of low attendance, that is pure bull sh--...

Sounds a lot like our John Y Brown. We traded Moses Malone and some other stars shortly before moving to San Diego. Most here probably never heard of the Buffalo Braves either....

Ditto! I wouldn't have it any other way! However my best News Years Eve ever was 1973 at the Aud when ZZ Top opened up for Alice Cooper and I had a hand full of "Ludes" and some fine lookin ladies.

I feel like the Super Bowl is Sunday...

I can't take it... I might have to go on a three day bender just to make the time go by quicker...

Anyone know of a way to put yourself into a 72 hour coma?

  6. Dear Lord,

I know football is not a priority right now and we pray for those suffering in south east asia and the middle east. However as a humble Bills fan who has suffered countless heartbreaking close calls I am asking that you intervene in two football games this Sunday. We can handle the Steelers but you have to give Mr. Martz his brain back for that day resulting in a Rams win. Then let Peyton's and the Colts egos give them the fortitude to beat "The Snake" in Denver.

Finally I promise never mention "Wide Right" and "no Goal" ever again!

    Amen

    John

Glad some other Bills Fans are doing this. My thread didn't quite get it going.

  7. What happens if the Bills lose? Then your are pissed and lost your money.

It's a lead pipe lock. 12th man is going to keep us from letting down against their scrubs, unlike the Rams did against Philly. We'll be getting things like good ball spots, defensive holding and procedure penalties against them because of the noise and its effect on the Refs. :D

  8. I could give two ***** about winning money this weekend. A couple hundred bucks or the Bills in the playoffs? I would take the Bills in a second. That said this weekend does bring up a unique betting situation for Bills fans. While the playoffs would be the best situation having a little extra coin may help the healing process if things don't go our way.

If you believe we take care of our end then this is the bet you should take.

Bills, Jets, and Broncos in a 3 team parlay against the money line. My bookie doesn't have the money line up yet but when it's all said and done you should get 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 odds for that bet. That way if we win and the other teams also win at least you can make a couple hundred bucks. If we win and one of the other teams lose then who cares? Bills will be in the playoffs.

Not Bad...I just don't like that also :D

  9. They would have to first make the playoffs of course.

Then they'd have to take out Manning and Co.

    Then beat the Steelers again.

Then they would no doubt face the Patriots to get to the big dance. That is one game I would love to see!  :D

    Hey I can dream still.

I'm with ya. It all starts with a dream! ;)

  10. Pittsburgh's "D" is ranked first in total yards allowed and rushing yards per game, second in points allowed, third in first downs allowed and fourth in total yards passing. It has surrendered 17 points or more just once in the past eight games.

Pits isnt the Cleveland, or Rmas d.  We couldnt move the ball on th ground against Cincy's D.  I think this will be a nice test as to how far our O-line has really come along.

Any predictions on yards for Willis?

    Go Bills!!

    185270

110 yds. He will come out in the 3rd Qtr to rest up for the playoffs.

  11. Turley was always a little undersized and had to work hard to maintain #300. Back surgery has stopped Turley from lifting at all, so the massive weight loss isn't necessarily a sign of drug use. :D

    185124

That being said my only question is was it "The Clear or The Cream"? ;)
