1. WOW...Now there's a blast from the past.

While wondering about all the stores that have come and gone, how the heck does Valu hardware stay open.  They never have more than 6 cars in any store lot at one time. Yet they have outlived Grossmans, Chase Pitkin, Builders Square & Busy Beaver.  I'm not sure how they are going to survive in the long run against Home Depot & Lowes.

Do they still have those obnoxious commercials? Maybe thats keepin them going.

  2. 2. Buffalo - Forget that late-season playoff run, the Bills have taken a step back. Either cut-rate newcomer Kelly Holcomb or the inexperienced J.P. Losman will be taking the snaps in 2005, and will be operating behind a line that just lost left tackle Jonas Jennings. On the other side of the ball, the departure of key run-stuffer Pat Williams to the Vikings will undoubtedly be felt in a big way. Don't expect the Patriots, Jets, and improving Dolphins to be very forgiving to Buffalo's plight come the fall.

    The Truth Hurts. 3-13

  3. Boy, I remember when you were brand new to the board.  A bright eyed kid all excited about he Bills, showing off your new web page.

Hey look, you joined the board on 16 May02...that's right after the draft when we traded for Drew!

    OHHHHHH....I get it now.

Bright eyed kid? Nice try. I wanted Lamonica to take over for Kemp in 1967.

  4. Hi guys

just trying to get some background info on Pat Williams - with any luck he'll be a good pickup for us like Winfield was last year.

So how come you're letting go to FA, is it salary cap issues, production dropping down or just looking to bring younger players in to replace him ?  I'm hoping that he can help us get a consistent pass rush going which is something that has been lacking in recent years.

Thanks and hope your off-season goes well for you

Phat Pat is a Big and Fast run stuffer who will make a nice tandem with Kevin. The Bills have decided to throw in the towel for the next couple years by starting a raw kid at QB. By the time Losman is ready to make any impact (2008) Pat would be over the hill.

  5. When the betting opened for SuperBowl XL, the Bills were at 20:1 (which is really good).

    Now it's 30:1.

I know, I know, I KNOW it is way to early to take this too seriously, but I am wondering what you think would make this change? Is it Bledsoe leaving? I know most lines change as a result of bets being placed. But I REALLY have a hard time believeing enough people have bet at all on a game that is 11 months away for that to be the case.

from 20:1 to 30:1 in less than a couple weeks is quite a jump (assuming the line opened  either after the end ofl ast regular season, or after this past SB).

Either way, we are at least in the area of "respectables" as far as the odds go..

Anyone feel like dropping $100 of the 49ers? $20,000 if they win it all! :D

    Is it Bledsoe leaving?

  6. Here's another old article about JP

    JP Losman

    Quarterback - Position Rank: #4

    Tulane

    6'2" - 217 lbs

    4.68 - Pro Day 40

Other than big Ben R-Berger, the quarterback with the most overall athletic ability just might be Tulane's JP Losman. Big and agile, with good speed, Losman can make all the throws and has good accuracy to go along with the all-important ability to maintain that accuracy while on the move. Unfortunately, he doesn't always play like his breakdowns and profiles say he should. He's simply not as productive as he should be. Perhaps that's merely a by-product of playing on a subpar team, but there seems to be something bigger afoot. Something more wrong. Losman might end up a coach-killer, a guy who can have big games, and tease a coach to the ultimate ruin of both careers. See Rob Johnson.

Donohoe bet the farm on Greg Williams and Rob Johnson and now.....

No way can JP be groomed before the nucleus of this team is disbanded. Mark these words The whole "small market" franchise is in jeopardy and riding on the hopes of a raw not very bright college kid with all the "physical skills."

  10. A new day and the same nonsense all over again.  The Bills are not going 3-13 next year.  I will go on record right now....short of a MAJOR rash of injuries, the Bills will not finish the year with 5 wins or less.

    ;)

  11. Everyone always speaks of Kelly, Thomas, Reed, and Bruce, in God like terms, true Bills all the way. How about some  "love" for Eric. He has restuctured at least 2x to help this team get the players it needs to reach the "ultimate" goal.

Thanks Eric,,now hopefully your efforts will be rewarded. .. ;)

    238224

He' better start going over the middle again. He cost Drew his job.

  12. John...I don't think TD pulled off the trade for Losman because of the fans.  More than likely he did it because he had doubts about Bledsoe.  Bledsoe's inconsistent play in 2004 confirmed TD's doubts and now they are going in a different direction.

PS The perfect "managing QB" was never going to win us a Super Bowl.  It is time to turn the page.

    238223

I'm turning but this looks like a Rob Johnson "trap" QB to me. ;)
