There is absolutely no reason to keep McCoy on this team. I love McCoy, but it's a disservice to him and the organization to keep him here. He was brought in here to help us compete on a championship level. We are the furthest thing from that. Get any value you can, and let him ride into the sunset of his career with a winning team, that's one piece away from heading to the big dance. Holding on to him this long was another mistake by this regime. Just add it up with the rest of the terrible decisions they've made. #FreeMcCoy

Who to start against NE?
TwistofFate replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peterman If it's going to be this bad, who cares? Peterman is a win/win. He takes the valuable snaps and further developes, (he's only in his second year with 3 starts) which is a win, or he continues to do terrible, which is a win because we get a better draft pick. Either way, it's a win. -
After multiple blowout losses I see no one benched, I see no one disciplined and I see next to no change in players demeanor. It has become, yeah, we were bad, we need to forget it now and move on to next week. I feel McD is a weak coach and nearing the half way point if the season, he's lost the team. The roster moves, the blowout losses, the seemingly lack of accountability at any real level, feels like this team is just going through the motions. This is the absolute worse shape I've ever seen this team in under any coaching staff this millennium. This team doesn't even look competitive. It's embarrassing.

What did Allen do in college? Nothing. He performed poorly against top collegiate talent every time he played against them. Supporting cast was the same argument used for him then...maybe it's not the cast? What do yards per attempt have to do with anything? The frequency of passing and the yardage passed for makes the early 2000s look ancient.

Derek Anderson to start vs Colts
TwistofFate replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
he will look better than anyone on the roster. Multiple sub 100 yard games is just as bad as throwing a pick IMO. Anderson is the best Qb we currently have on the roster, it's not saying much but it's an upgrade. -
Eli Manning? He's as old as dirt. The league isn't even close to what it was when he started. Today's league is engineered for a qb to succeed. If you can't pass for 100 yards in multiple games, you don't belong here. Just look at Allen's stats from week two til now. It's gotten worse every week. Every week he looks worse and worse. He's incapable of doing simple things you'd expect a 1st rounder to do, that you MOVED UP FOR in the draft. I'll use Peterman for example. He came off the bench and went 4/6 for 40+ yards and a TD against Houston. If the supporting cast was issue for Allen, it would have been for Peterman. It wasn't. Aside from Petermans terrible interceptions, he's looked way better than Allen.

Quarterback, offensive line, Wr. Allen is clearly not the answer. Rookie or not, you don't go multiple games in the NFL with sub 100 yards passing in today's league. Allen was a mistake. Correct it by drafting another Qb and save us 3 wasted years. Worst case scenario we suck another year. Best case scenario we have a good back up in Allen or we get good trade bait.

? I knew Tyrod was traded. Traded or cut its the same difference. He wasn't coming back, that's the bottom line. Whether the found a trade partner or not, Tyrod was not wearing a Bills jersey this year, and if you believe that, you're delusional. What I'm stating is absolutely fact. Look at the timeline of mistakes! Look how they back tracked to fix the mistakes. It doesn't take a godamn rocket scientist to see what happened! It simply takes someone who isn't drinking kool-aid, and is looking at the facts objectively.

Delusional....? https://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/11/21/buffalo-bills-sean-mcdermott-tyrod-taylor-nathan-peterman-process-nfl-week-12/ https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/11/20/16679622/transcript-sean-mcdermott-nathan-peterman-tyrod-taylor-on-chargers-game-debacle https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/08/31/buffalo-bills-aj-mcarron/ https://billswire.usatoday.com/2018/04/26/josh-allen-josh-rosen-lamar-jackson/ Tell me more about how I'm delusional. This regime has made mistake after mistake. The Anderson signing again shows they don't know what they're doing, and to make matter worse, McD refuses to admit he's made multiple mistakes at the position. He continues to avoid answering directly when questioned by offering up responses such as, I did what's best for the team, we are trying to win now and in the future, I did what's best for the team, we're looking to grow and learn, and I did what's best for the team. By the way, have I told about the process yet?

You've proven my point, thank you. The entire Qb position has been a DEBACLE from the word go. This regime has zero clue on how to handle it. You simply make excuses and chalk it up to rebuilding and being raw. It's hilarious. It's called ineptitude and there is plenty of it going on around the Qb position. Furthermore I could care less about the amount of posts you, I, or anyone else has. It literally has nothing to do with the accuracy or knowledge of the topic we are discussing. I didn't just roll up on this board, I've been a member for 7 years who mainly read. I was a member of the Bills message board for YEARS before it was closed down, so please, spare me the childish banter. Allen sucks, Tyrod was cut/traded (doesn't make a difference which, the effect remains) McCarron was acquired then sent packing, and we've made a Qb change after one game this season. After realizing how bad they screwed up the Qb situation in the off-season, they've now signed another Qb citing the reason as a veteran mentor. If you can't see how terrible their process of evaluating and selecting starting Qbs is by the horrible decisions they've made and continue to make, I really don't know what more to say to you. PS...for the record, I'm a GM in real life. So I'm not an "arm chair" GM. I assess, recruit, and release talent on a regular basis. It's not football related, it's business related. Same difference.

And he was thrown to the wolves on the road against the best pass rush in the NFL in his first start. He played through a BLIZZARD in his second start. His 3rd start was this season, and he is afforded none of the same excuses Allen is. It doesn't matter the line was worse in week one. It doesn't matter we were playing a top pass defense in the NFL on the road. It doesn't matter it's his third start, etc. Just funny how 3 games in and he's written off and Allen has looked like absolute trash, was drafted 1st round, was marketed as the future, but needs more time to prove it because off supporting cast. LMAO.
-
And inside of two years they benched Taylor for a rookie with whom they thought was better, only for it to be a disaster and switch back after halftime. Then they cut Taylor, carry the rookie into the second season, draft another rookie, and sign McCarron. Before the start of the season they trade away the only veteran Qb presence we have, and carry a second year Qb and a rookie into the regular season with no form of leadership at the position in sight. They name the second year Qb the starter, and bench him after 1 week into the season, for the rookie they just drafted. The rookie has looked equally as disappointing as the second year guy they benched for him. (sad because Allen is supposedly the future) Fast forward weeks and all of a sudden we sign another Qb because the brass believe we need a veteran presence to help two young players. That is called a debacle. And it's been a debacle from the moment these people took over. Nothing pertaining to this position has been handled correctly, including moving up in the draft and trading valuable picks for a Qb that needed more work and was a bigger project than any other first rounder. I'm really not sure where people like you come from.
-
These things are all too familiar for those of us around these boards who have critiqued Allen thus far, and have drawn comparisons from his collegiate days. The Bills made a huge mistake trading up to draft a HUGE project player. They could have drafted Rosen, who is much more of a pure passer and more polished or they could have gotten more aggressive and went after Darnold or Mayfield. PS... We could have taken Mahomes last year as well. If there is one thing I have ZERO trust in from this regime, it's their ability to select Qb talent or develop it. It's been debacle after debacle from the word go. I'll state my opinion again, and happily eat crow if proven wrong, Allen is a mistake and will bust.

KB has a big day this Sunday
TwistofFate replied to Bronxbomber21's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is a big game? This guy has only broke the 100 yard mark TWO times since 2014. That isn't a typo. He has TWO hundred yard games in over 3 years. I have no idea WTF Bean was thinking bringing him in here besides having a big body in the redzone. But what difference does that make when you drop just about every TD pass you get your hands on? KB is not a number one. At best he's a two. Realistically, he's situational. -
BR: "Josh Allen: Throwing velocity analysis"
TwistofFate replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure. There really isn't anything to be mistaken about. Just listen to all of the Bills brass talk about him from the moment they drafted him. Physical talent, physical talent, physical talent, physical tools, protipical qb size, etc. No one talked about his accuracy, timing, anticipation, rhythm, pure pocket passing ability, etc. He was a project with a big arm and physical tools. So was Ej Manuel. So was JP Losman. Where are they? The best Qb we drafted this century was Trent Edwards. He was NEVER the same after getting laid out in that Arizona game. But he actually had pocket passing qualities and was much more refined. I'm sick of big armed project passers. I want polished, refined, with accolades. Allen will flame out, and every excuse will be given from the talent surrounding him to the coaching. All will have played a role in his failure, except for the fact he wasn't NFL ready and was a project when we drafted him. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think I am. We've passed on both Mahomes and Rosen for Allen. We've seen how Mahomes has looked, and Rosen is right around the corner. It was a mistake to pass on either one IMO. Time will tell. -
BR: "Josh Allen: Throwing velocity analysis"
TwistofFate replied to transplantbillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Who cares? Touch, anticipation, and progressions are way more important. Also, a lot of his passes have been dropped due to him throwing 50mph passes on a short 10 yard pass. Having a powerful arm is the icing on the cake, at least it should be. You draft a guy just because he can throw 70 yard bombs. It means very little in the NFL today. -
I Bet $5,000 on Minnesota. Should I Be Worried?
TwistofFate replied to BuffaloRush's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be worried. This will be a 21+ point loss. Sadly, their defense will completely shut down this offense and their offense, at home, will jump out to an early commanding lead. -
Allen is not my choice. Mahomes last year, Rosen this year...both were available to us. We've already seen how Mahomes has started thus far, now I await the Rosen start which is coming soon. Allen was a huge project pick, not one that you jump up the board and waste multiple picks to acquire. That type of move is made to secure a day one starter.

[Edited Title] Patrick Mahomes Looks Great
TwistofFate replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could care less what you take seriously. Petermans career was defined by 10 quarters in the NFL. That was enough for many, many, fans on this board to label him as unworthy to even be in the NFL. Now on the opposite end of the spectrum, another Qb we passed on has 10 tds in 8 quarters of play and is setting historical records, but according to many fans here, that means nothing because it's only 8 quarters of football not a career, and no where big enough of a sample size. How can you or anyone else be taken seriously with that kind of hypocrisy?
