This line can't run block to save its life. Pass blocking is a different story, but, they can't get out of their own way on run plays. They have been suspect all season in the run game. How many times have run plays been blown up in the backfield this year? No push at all.

Fred Jackson in his prime on this team would destroy this league. I'm most likely in the minority with this opinion, but I think Jackson was a better back and if he was surrounded with talent, the sky was the limit.

Darnold and Allen are pretty solid proof of how important great coaching and a solid front office are in Qb development. Makes me wonder how many Qbs our staff has destroyed over the years...Losman, Manuel, etc.

It's really not all that hypothetical. He had a shot at a head coaching position last season, if he was chosen he wouldn't be here right now. IMO he's gone next year and will probably land with the Jets.

He definitely doesn't have the recovery speed if he takes a misstep.

One team has a superior supporting cast, one doesn't. No one is knocking Allen, but it isn't all him. There are 10 other guys out there executing out there...as a team. Until this year, Allen was the weakest link. Now that he's hitting on all cylinders, we look like a freaking juggernaut.
