IF THE BILLS WERE TO EVER LEAVE BUFFALO

At this point, it would be humane if they left town! -
Okay, I get your logic. However, it has been made very clear that this time, under new ownership, they are going to build a consistent winner over time. Ralph and his cronies never once said that since 1960. Don't you honestly think we owe it to them to give them a fair chance? Not over 50 years mind you, but a fair chance like 5-years?

One thing I don't understand... How is it that the past Bills organization under Ralph Wilson is constantly assumed to be the same organization under the Pegulas? Saying that the Bills organization has been bad for 50 years makes no sense when today's Bills are a new organization, except for Jim Overdorf. Someone explain this to me, please.

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - So Funny I Could Cry
clayboy54 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree completely, Shaw. As I posted in the post-game thread, I was at the game and couldn't find anything that could be construed as funny or entertaining once the game started. Yes, I did get to see "my boys" play. Then again, I'm not too sure that they can call that playing. My seats were in the 7th row on about the 20-yard line. From there, I got to watch a lot of line play closely. First, I was actually impressed with the O-line play. I understand that the Colts do not have a highly-rated D-line, but our men held up very well against their front 7. On the other side, it sure looked to me that Jerry Hughes was being held on about every play. I also saw a lot of holding in the interior as well. Their center mugged one of our DTs at least a dozen times. I can tell you that this is a big reason for their success running inside. It was brutal. Sadly, there wasn't a whole lot more to see for the Bills fans in attendance. Benjamin caught a few nice balls and we were able to enjoy laughing about that. But, there was no laughing about the defensive performance overall. On one play right in front of us, I watched Kyle screaming at the guys on the outside for not keeping contain. That looked a lot more troubling than the game itself. Kind of like there was dysfunction on the field. It was also clear that the D wasn't ready to go at the snap a few times. Shades of Rex-coached teams. Oh well, $400 down the toilet for me. -
4 step plan to success for last 9 games

They didn't even score 5. I was there. The Colts scored two of our points themselves. We scored a lowly 3. -
Imagine how I feel after dropping $400 for a couple tickets, parking and food to see such a disinterested looking bunch out there today. I hope this team is ashamed. They need to be. Too bad, because I met a lot of great Bills fans at Lucas Oil Stadium today. That made my day enjoyable, at least.

2nd half thread: Bills at Colts 1 pm on CBS

Well, defense isn’t holding up their end from the looks of things from sec 143 row 7. -
I will be heading down Sunday morning from Fort Wayne. Sec 143 Row 7. I'll be wearing my Kyle Williams jersey.

Thank you Shaw! I enjoyed reading another well written synopsis. I agree wholeheartedly that yesterday was "outstanding" for where the Bills are right now. It clearly shows that McDermott once again knows the pulse of his players. He obviously pressed the coordinators to fix their deficiencies and call games to their players strengths. It was a nice showing by the guys who stepped up from the practice squad, the bench and other teams to contribute on the field. I liked seeing them succeed filling in for injuries. I also liked the aggressive play calling when past Bills teams might have gone conservative. I don't get all the hate. I really like where this team is going toward the future. I think you get it.

Yes, they created this mess. I for one am willing to let it play out and see how it goes. With a high pick this next draft and around $100M to spend, we can have a new group to watch develop into a good team. Certainly, we all can agree that 7-9 records every year were not acceptable. We know that doesn't work. Let's see if this teardown works. If it doesn't, we can always move on to the next "plan."
