Bucs/WFTeam Playoff Game- 8:15 EST

I thought they signed Bortles as a backup. What’s the deal now? -
Did you take route 5 or the thruway?
-
I do believe that the game plan they had, especially on defense backfired. I’d guess that Reich showed some things we didn’t expect with Rivers throwing so much, and the Bills were in stop-the-run defense. On offense, we expected that our medium crossers would be covered so we didn’t run them much while they thought we could beat them by running Josh, and they had that covered.

He dropped a couple of perfect passes.

Do you really believe NFL officials?

Does the bills success continue without daboll?
clayboy54 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sometimes you just find a combination that clicks. Such is the case with Josh and Dabs. Much like Brady and Belichick, the sum of the parts is magical. However, like Brady, the great player can excel in any system. The coach or coordinator depends on the player, no matter how good the plan. If the two separate, the player will succeed while the coach may not. -
I agree. I didn't want to rest the starters last week and I don't want a bye. Keep this freight train rolling!

Chan Gailey resigns as OC of Dolphins

Did he shine Aaron's shoes or something? -
Of course, this season is a huge success. The very best part of the entire progression is how they continue to get better every week. If we do indeed win and advance, we will surely continue that progression. I often think about how very difficult it was to 4-peat in the 90s. The amount of work and effort it takes to get that good is incredible. Part of that hunger was because we lost and the job wasn't done. To follow-up on that thought, when you win it all, coaches and players leave for new challenges. It becomes even more difficult to repeat with new faces across the board. I am just so happy to be able to have this discussion, honestly.

Last time we beat the Colts in OP we wore all red. -
What if the Bills hired Frank Reich instead of Rex?
clayboy54 replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously, if we hired Frank and kept Whaley and the FO the same, we’d be sitting here saying, “maybe next year.” It would be the same old Bills. -
Jets, Chargers request to interview Brian Daboll for HC
clayboy54 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
On New Years Eve, a younger woman was overheard asking him, "Are you interested in being a head coach?" He replied, "Sure if you wanna learn, I can coach you." <rimshot> -
For Christ's sake, no. We don't need to change offensive philosophies with Josh now. If Daboll goes, we promote from within.

I wonder if Gregg Williams' phone is ringing off the hook this morning. He told us that everybody wants to hire him as HC, right? -

While I don't know if the Eagles FO wanted to lose for draft position, the NFL and Goodell ought to be looking at this today. It is a very BAD look to have a team blatantly and obviously throw a game on primetime television. It opens up a can of worms that delegitimizes the game. If this is allowed, then the NFL becomes nothing more than WWE. It throws into question the NFL's integrity and brings up the question of fixing games. It should be handled in every way like the 1919 Black Sox scandal. If this is not addressed this week, perhaps even by Congress, the NFL needs to be stripped of all anti-trust exemptions, tax benefits and public financing immediately. At the very least, Doug Pederson and any FO personnel who were party to this intentional effort to lose a game must be permanently banned from the game.
