What I'm concerned with, is the way Robert Kraft can skirt the rules and defy the principle of the cap and still get away with it. He's the Boogeyman in this scenario. He does it while the other owners kiss his ring.

Truthfully, he was a better tackle towards the end. He was a decent TE though. Ernie Warlick was good in the days before TE evolved into the downfield passing game it is today.

Right. As someone else said, out-of-cap-space implies cash-to-cap philosophy. As plenty of others are saying, we can always find room. What I am saying is that if you are going to spend above cash-to-cap the you better be certain that that piece makes you a substantially better team. As an example, we could sign Suh. He’s a better DT than anyone we have, but he clearly doesn’t make the Bills a better team.

Sure they can. Gotta find the right guy, then Beane will pull the trigger. Finding the right guy is the issue. ROI gets real with these early FA signings. In my eyes, the only way to get that return is via draft or trade. FA acquisitions seldom are good value gets.

I re-watched the Colts game last night. My gosh, Brown dropped a lot of passes. His hands weren't injured. He got open and just plain stunk up the joint. Best of luck to him in Vegas.

He's never shown any of the things that the Bills are missing. Clowney is a high-paid Trent Murphy. He is NOT a pass-rusher.

"Butterfingers" Ross may be fast, but this many years into the career of a high draft pick and he cannot catch the ball consistently. I'd rather have Robert Foster. 🙂

How in the world do you know the Bills will be playing with the same schemes? I can't imagine that would ever happen year-to-year in the NFL. The same players in a new and revised scheme to better reflect their personal growth and another year of continuity may very well put this team over the top. It might not too, but it is foolhardy to expect the team to trot out with the same schemes.
