I have to commend you for this post, and for your sincere perspective! Ford is not the worst football player to ever set foot on an NFL field. We are all extremely disappointed that he isn’t developing like we all hoped. Some OL guys take time and the staff obviously sees potential there. As a few others have mentioned, he really doesn’t have very many games under his belt at guard. He is a tough guy with an edge. I’m sure Beane will find a replacement if some further progress is not seen.

Typically, you don't put long and tall men at guard. Their length seldom translates to the guard position. This is due to both the working area as well as their leverage. Long and tall men operate best with more space at a position where low leverage is not as important. This position on the OL is tackle. That said, freak athletes may defy traditional thought here. It is generally thought to be a bad idea, though. Maybe someone with OL experience could chime in about this.

In the postgame interviews, it was said that Daboll was installing new plays and blocking schemes on Saturday. This is what you're asking for, albeit a little late. It looks like although sloppy, they worked. It seems obvious that they're working on it and they'll eventually find the right combination. After all, you never know if what you've got will work until it either does or doesn't on Sundays. If it doesn't you just have to make some changes.

You are most certainly welcome to your opinion, but your blanket statement is ridiculous. I think you and quite a few others on here just don't like our defensive philosophy. Many want a huge nose tackle like Ted Washington and run-stuffing MLB. Fine. If that's what you expect then Beane has failed miserably. But, that is not reality for the Bills defense. The Bills run a defense that thrives on sideline to sideline mobility. This, as others have said, makes a solid pass-stopping defense. So, if you're expecting FA acquisions and draft picks that fit a run-stuffing style, then you're welcome to be critical but you won't be happy. As I see it, we have a really promising group of defensive talent crafted to stop the pass in this pass-happy NFL.

You’re making the assumption that opponents can stop the Bills offense. I bet they cannot.
