(OT) Anyone have a Tempur-pedic bed?
clayboy54 replied to ajzepp's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My wife and I bought the Tempurpedic Celebrity Bed several months ago and love it. The Celebrity model offers a 2" topper on top of the 12" bed. They're both made of the Tempurpedic memory foam, but with the topper, its easy to move around and get up without getting stuck in one place by sinking in. The topper also helps by not being too stiff when you first get into the cold bed. The whole thing is covered by a cashmire cover so it is nice and soft and warm. I got it at The Mattress Firm, which is also located in Buffalo and they have the best deal anywhere on the Tempurpedic beds. The factory sells it for list and restricts the dealers ability to discount. So, they gave us free Tempurpedic King Pillows, free frame, free delivery and no tax. Plus, we got 2 years same as cash. For the King size Celebrity bed, it still cost us almost $3,200 but it is the best money I ever spent. Way better than the sleep number bed, or any memory foam product I have heard of. Believe me, I have tried everything. I love fullwave waterbeds, but even though they are very comfortable, with those the lack of support kills you. No other product competes in my opinion. I have a titanium left hip and am about to get my right one replaced as well due to bad arthritis. This is the first product that lets me get a good night sleep every night and yet noth bother my wife with snoring. I just can't say enough for this nearly life-saving bed. -
Suddenly I miss all the OT posts....

I know this guy who's having a problem with his computer. His name is Rian and every time he moves the mouse it goes off to the side of the screen, either left or right. Anybody have any suggestions? -
Donahoe, I've supported you this far

The only viable choice, ahead of keeping Lindell, is Mike Hollis. The big question is whether his back is healed and whether it will hold up for a season. Regardless of the other available NFL kickers, Lindell is as good as any of them are. So, if Hollis can't or doesn't want to come back, we are likely stuck for the year. -
When did RWS turn into "Clockwork Orange"?

Just pray that they don't start shooting t-shirts or hotdogs out of a bazooka into the stands, like they do at the baseball & hockey games here in Fort Wayne. Even the NFL is getting to be like a minor-league promotion-fest. It's just too bad that the game is no longer the focus of the event. -
I relate to your agony, Drunken. I usually feel that way when dining out here in Indiana. Sitting next to a family of undisiplined, screaming little kids at a restaurant causes me to go off too. I usually ask them nicely who their favorite NFL team is. Then, after they say "The Colts" I ask them if they want to take it outside to finish the discussion. But, the little kids almost always back down! hahahaha

I predict these Bills will be unpredictable
clayboy54 replied to Grant's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It has always been that way with the Bills. I don't know what the numbers show lately, as I'm not a betting man, but a few years back, the Bills were far-and-away the team least likely to cover a spread in the NFL. -
Who has the best "Look at me dance while we choke

All three are indeed pathetic, but with Nate, it will never end, sadly. Nate Clements Q&A "Who is your idol?" Nate: "Primetime, Neon Deon Sanders" "What is your biggest concern for this season?" Nate: "With the new emphasis on takeaways, I might not lead the team. So, I better try to grab every ball that comes my way, even if it means missing a few for long gains." "What do you want to do after football?" Nate: "I'd like to do TV commercials. Maybe I can replace Leon as the most selfish ballplayer in the world." -
He will also be one of the guys that can get our team out of the depths of this loss. He is a good man and a good leader.

How do the Bills expect to stretch defenses??
clayboy54 replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has anyone given any thought to: 1. This was the OLs second game together. Let them get some cohesiveness before you ask them to give Drew time to throw the long ball. 2. Drew may not be sold 100% on the short drops and quick releases. Let him find some success, avoid getting crushed, and build his confidence up before asking him to stand back there, taking the hit and pitch the home run ball. 3. Play game #1, take stock as to where the O really stands, and then make adjustments. It may take a few games to find out what this O is really good at. So far through preseason and game one, I have yet to see why coaches would believe the long game would work for this team. -
I bet he figured that their will to win was greater than it actually was. Anyhow, if Clements knocks down that ball, we're all saying it was a great plan. In the end it should've worked if the players had done their jobs.
-
We learned not to expect greatness from this team. If success comes at all, we will be happy to enjoy its fruits.

Don't you know that there's no such thing as a lateral in the NFL? It's called a "backward pass" and yes it was. hahahaha Maybe it was supposed to be a Moulds option pass??????

Think You're Down ? Try Being There
clayboy54 replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly, it is because BADOL always seems to have a clear perspective of what's going on. Of course, you can love or hate the "end of the world" posts, the "Insert Name Here sucks" posts or even the "Fire so-and-so" posts. But after an especially tough-to-stomach loss like this, BADOL put it in perspective and helped me explain what really is going on. I don't really care if we have no heart today. I care instead to understand the problem and then watch to see if the staff is working toward finding a solution to the problem. That makes being a fan much more fun and entertaining. -

You are a very wise sage, my man. Glad to have your analysis after these games. It makes me feel a heluva a lot better with a decent perspective. Your glasses are always very clear. Thanks BADOL. -

My observation for the Colts loss to NE are: Edgerrin James single-handedly lost the game for the Colts. Sure, Manning threw the pick and Vanderjagt missed the FG, but overall the Colts should've won that game dispite their slip-ups. Marvin Harrison was a non-factor, even though Law was dinged, but the Colts should've won dispite Harrison's non-performance. But, James putting the ball on the ground in two (count 'em - 2) critical situations is absolutely unforgivable. It cost them the ballgame. This from a guy who doesn't like to play in preseason, wants to be traded, and has developed a piss-poor atitude IMO. All I can say, for those Travis Henry critics around here, is that we are blessed to have TH, WM and all their banter. I'd bet my paycheck that neither one of them will single-handedly lose a game for the Bills this season.

I guess that I'm happy that we got the deal done before the season began. I still question whether a "high motor" guy is worth the big bucks. I like Aaron's progression over the years, and he is our best DE, but could we have used that money to get a bigger and stronger DE to compliment the other two "high motor" guys we have on the other side? What is the opinion here? Also, I guess that means Jennings is history, as we all figured.

Trying out for team dunce.

I'd bet that we'll not see Pucillo on the field much. He seems like a veteran presence that can help Lawrence Smith with his experience, especially at handling negative criticism. If one of the interior linemen goes down, I would guess the Bills would make a roster move, like bringing Sobieski back from the PS if he makes it there later today.
-
While I do not disagree with the opinion that Kelsay looks better against the run, I cannot understand one thing. Consistantly, the Bills have said that Denny is "solid against the run" and weaker against the pass. What is it that we do not see that make the Bills like Denny so much as a run stopper. His stock in this department has been going up each year. Maybe TSW doesn't know more that NFL coaches? Or not.

Is anybody surprised that Sobieski has been cut?
clayboy54 replied to Berni's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some of the truth that we likely will never know may be: 1. Sobieski's history of injuries are popping up again. He did hobble off the field in Detroit. He may still not have fully recovered. 2. When choosing who to release for the practice squad, the choices are often predicated by lack of interest by other teams. Since Sobieski is unknown he is an obvious candidate. 3. Pucillo may not be very good, but he is experienced and can be a bigger help to L Smith than a guy like Sobieski. If Sobieski goes unclaimed and makes the PS then you may see a mid-season move if we see an interior lineman go down.
