  1. I've already had that argument. A liberal coworker said that the ACA was proof that Obama was a conservative, because if he had been a liberal, they would have passed single-payer with total control of government.
  2. I refuse to watch this movie before July 4th.
  3. How many in San Diego are military personal who have been to third world countries and don't want to come home to one?
  4. I agree that, the older generation voted (mostly)because of immigration. ... but many of the younger generation believe it was really about austerity (and senility, racism, etc). They feel that their parents spent their college fund. The self-correcting theory has been proposed for decades, but never happens because reality smacks each generation in the face. Everyone likes the "free" stuff, until they get a job and have to pay for it.
  5. Why is there a media blackout on ID2? I haven't seen any advertising or press releases, not even from the actors, on this movie. We usually get a year or two of teasers, but it feels like ID2 is almost a surprise. I saw my first trailer of it before watching X-Men Apocalypse -this month.
  6. KFC, Popeyes, and Church's Chicken are all in the same place close to me. I usually get KFC chicken, Popeye's sides, and Church's biscuits on the same trip out.
  7. Airlines have been having problems with passengers missing flights because security checkpoints are taking too long. The government sent out a memo telling TSA that they need to cut down on the amount of time people wait in line. ******my experience****** After getting my ticket, I stumbled across a large mob of people standing in front of the escalators up to the Departures floor. Security guards weren't allowing people up. A few minutes later, the guards let about twenty people go up the escalator, then stopped, like bouncers at a night club. I was confused. After talking to some people around me, it turns out that in order to make the lines through security shorter, they weren't letting people up until they had room in line. When it was finally my turn, getting through security took less than five minutes since the lines up there were no more than a few people deep. The serpentine lines of people up top were gone (a large space), but replaced by a large impatient mob at the bottom. (at a choke point) That was the solution TSA came up with to shorten people's time through their checkpoints; stop people before they get there... because technically, the timer doesn't start until you are in their area. This was at LAX international.
  8. If a central figure were to tell his fans that they need to rebel against the system, will the resulting mayhem be caused by lone wolves or an organization?
  9. The media has already blamed the failures of Obamacare on Republicans, because they say the provisions that would have made it work were blocked by the right. Liberals believe that Obama was forced to compromise on his vision of single payer to appease conservatives.
  10. Many young voters are angry that their plans to backpack through Europe and study abroad using their "free" education is in jeopardy. They're worried that the "free" benefits will be cut off, and think it's unfair that the older generation is forcing the real world onto them too soon. It's amazing how many Europeans (of all ages) feel that the young are entitled to live incredibly pampered lives (paid for by tax payers), until they enter the work force themselves. Many are shocked that teenagers in America actually try to work and attend school at the same time.
  11. I think it has more to do with the McNugget.
  12. I arrived in an airport where TSA had closed the pre-check line because there weren't enough people there. (even though it was still 50people long). Imagine how angry the people who paid extra were about that change... Also, you can't believe how many people will let someone cut who just mentions that they're late for their flight. It's like a magic phrase. I even saw a guy do it to get (behind me) on the Panda Express line.
  13. Then they dropped "undocumented" completely. You have to figure out whether the "journalist" is talking about illegals or not in most immigration articles.
  14. Surprising that Warcraft has a 30% Critic rating but 80% of audiences liked it.
  15. One group wants to hand over control of their lives to the government Another group wants to take on the risk themselves. Seems like a left/right party split to me.
  16. I saw a sci-fi show where they had a welfare system that allowed anyone to withdraw as much money as they wanted from the government. The catch was that each dollar taken results in your name being put into a national lottery to be euthanized. Even if the odds are astronomical, how much money would you take in that situation?
  17. The right is saying he's a Muslim. The left is saying he's an NRA member. I'm guessing it must be the Canadians.
  18. Will Trump be saving tax-payers money by playing on his own courses instead of country clubs like Obama?
  19. In times of crisis and turmoil, incumbent parties rarely retain political office. I expect Trump to win, and the Democrats to take back Congress. In other words, another Liberal super-majority to pass anything they want, along with an unbreakable Supreme Court alliance to support them. I wonder what they'll #$%@ us over with this time?
  20. This movie was just made too late to really capitalize on WoW's peak popularity. Personally, I think they should have used either Cataclysm or the Lich King story lines. Those are more easily adapted to movie-based story telling. but would they have to do pre-quels afterwards? With the success in China, it did make a profit, but I think they need to make this a Netflix series if they want to continue in the future.
  21. Liberals already pointing at the declining British pound as a consequences of rejecting Socialism.
  22. The lore goes beyond World of Warcraft. There were three games before that. Warcraft 1 was orcs vs humans. They had to make a few adaptations, (the fact it took months instead of years) but you have to remember that they had to reference the books and previous lore as well. You can't skip the first game if you're doing origins. The biggest criticism of this movie is that they tried to put in too much. I agree that it would have been better if they had focused on one plot, but then you also said that you were disappointed that they didn't include elves, undead, tauren.... goblins... there is sooo much to put into one movie. Gamers are split on this movie because they have their own memory of which game(s) should have been the focus. Many liked 2 & 3 story while others only know about WoW. -I have friends who've played them all. Actually, I thought it would have been funny if they had focused on the "hero" aspect of it (we are the gamers) and sent some noob on his first "quest" and come back commenting that half the wolves had no teeth to loot...
  23. They get to sit on the floor and eat catered food. I wish I could do that at my job.
  24. I wish I could get free food for sitting on the floor at work.
  25. It doesn't matter. They'll continue to issue work permits and just say they don't.
