Does anybody else prefer to watch Bills games alone?
Mr Info replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
The MNF game vs Jags will probably be the only home game we cannot travel to attend. Instead, we are going to meet our sons & their wives and other friends at Richbrau Brewery in Richmond, VA. The owner is from Lockport and a Bills fan & it’s a Bills bar. If any Bills fans in the RVA area are interested: https://www.richbraubrewing.com The answer to the OP’s question should be evident. -

34-10 home team victors Smoot goes off against his former team -
I have posted many replies in this topic since Feb/Mar and tired of restating the same again. But this is now 80 pages long and a lot for someone to meander through. My 2024 invoice for club seats: $8068 or $4034/seat 2026 East Club is $5200/seat which is a 29% increase which I thought was reasonable PSL is $20k/East Club seat or 3.84 times ticket price

I signed for my East Club PSL seats back in March and just looked at my agreement when I read your numbers. Neither of the values you stated above are correct and not really even close to that. Whoever is supplying the figures to you is not true for my seats. I am not going to state my values but just informing you those are not valid.

Jalen Raegor cut from Pats practice squad after social media posts
Mr Info replied to Lothar's topic in The Stadium Wall
Hoping this means they bring back David Wallis who was one of their last cuts. He had a tryout a few days ago with the Bears. Wallis is from Randolph Macon College, a Div III school just a couple of blocks from where we live. It would be an amazing story for a Div III player to make an NFL roster. -
Bills vs Jags Game Week Thread - MNF
Mr Info replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
This was another odd game during the drought. 3 Jags turnovers and 0 Bills turnovers. -
I do not have a good story to share…yet. But your tale is quite the odd coincidence. I have a question. Though I have worked and lived for short spells in Singapore, Bali, China, and Japan, I have not had the opportunity to visit Melanasia. Though Fiji is easier to access from the US, we were also considering French Polynesia. How would you compare these two areas? My wife comes from a French family so is fluent and that was one of the reasons leaning toward FP though we are still open to suggestions.

Depends where you are staying but I abhor traffic and avoid Abbott anywhere close to Southwestern. There are private lots on Sheldon Rd (parallel and 1 block north of Southwestern) where I typically park. I approach it from Brompton Rd and turn L onto Sheldon. For the opener I got to Sheldon just before 9 am and very little traffic. Anytime after that will be a traffic delay. Always expect a delay leaving these lots. Once in a while if we did not eat much at the game, we will stop at Louie’s Texas Red Hots on Southwestern just a short walk from the stadium and get a snack and wait out the traffic.

I was not attesting to the demise of the NFL if the salary cap is gone. People still watch MLB with basically no salary cap. If you are a Yankee or Dodger fan then everything is great. My point is that I will no longer follow nor support the Bills if the NFL salary cap is removed. Hopefully, they can still compete but it will be like the bottom tier MLB teams whose best players are eventually acquired by teams with more money.
-
I’ll reply to both because they are related to my response. i no longer live in WNY but travel there frequently as I am still a season ticket holder. I am contributing a good amt of my $ to the WNY economy with these trips. I enjoy my trips ‘home’ but do not consider them a vacation. Regarding the NFL & MLB. I posted this in another thread but, imo, the demise of MLB was removal of the salary cap. I was an intense follower of MLB as a kid and also as a young adult. The teams with the most $ can poach the best players from other teams. There are some players on these teams whose yearly salary is more than the team salary of some clubs. I nol longer follow baseball or pay for any streaming. I still like the game and may watch a game infrequently when it’s free. If the NFL rescinded the salary cap, then I would no longer follow the Bills and the NFL. The Bills may be able to pull an Oakland A’s moneyball for a short while but the big money teams would reap the benefit of no salary cap. The Packers, Bills, Bengals, Colts, etc. would have difficulty competing consistently. The current salary cap helps level the playing field.

It appears you will not be a fan of this. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/41154722/roger-goodell-nfl-16-international-games-per-season But ok with me. I went to the Bills game in London a few years back and had a great time. I happened to be working there for a short while so no expense other than a ticket. I would be interested if the Bills played in an International location where I happened to be but would not plan a vacation around a Bills game.

I can understand the fan on a fixed budget that will not pay additional $ to watch NFL games on other platforms. It has become an expensive entertainment option. The NFL, imo, is the last league that has a true salary cap. Years ago I was a big MLB fan but no more. If the NFL allows the teams with the most $ to acquire the most talented players then I will no longer be a fan of the Bills and the NFL. I will stop paying just like I did with MLB. I will occasionally watch an MLB game but only if it is free.

Huge fan of the TdF so already subscribed to Peacock. But enjoy the NFL just as much so will be paying for however many services are required to view it.

I believe that sale of Field Club seats have just started so those numbers should be included in the next update. Founders and East Club seats have been sold during the entire time frame indicated by Channel 2 News.
-
According to @Kirby Jackson on April 10 (p. 50 in this topic) there are 450 Founders Seats and 5,500 East Club seats. Not sure if these clubs are combined in the above Channel 2 news report so it appeats that either 61% or 65% of club seats are sold. I am not counting Field Clubs in the total.

I don’t care Whiskey Tango Foxtrot happens to the 49ers in 2025. Just get their studs available for game 1 vs Jets. -
I am optimistic about this season. Many of the issues the OP mentions are endemic to many NFL teams. In 2023, the Bills avg age was 4th highest in the league. This year, the Bills are tied for 11th. Both the Fins and Jets have higher average team age in ‘24 than the Bills.

Just returned from Chicago where we saw the Winwood/Doobie Brothers concert. Winwood’s daughter is a backup vocalist in his band and also joined the Doobies to sing ‘It Keeps You Runnin’”. Winwood was outstanding and had a tight band. He played lead guitar on “Dear Mr Fantasy” and shredded it. He also played mandolin, piano, and organ. He joined the Doobies for their encore. Winwood will play a few more shows with The Doobie Brothers before his gig with them ends if you want to see him.

I believe I received an email from YoutubeTV to renew for that price and quickly jumped on it. I was a subscriber last season. Or it might be that I redeemed the $70 discount I received on Sunday Ticket in email from the Bills…I do not remember which I used.

I did. Purchased it a few months ago for $250. Got the others (Amazon Prime & Peacock) as well but for different reasons than watching the Bills.

New Renderings of New Stadium Clubs
Mr Info replied to Never NEVER Give-up's topic in The Stadium Wall
$20k/seat for the East Clubs. I thought I saw someone state the East Clubs end zone corner may be less. Below I have attached Field & East Club benefits when I received these on my tour about 6-7 months ago. -

East clubs (heated) are more than Field clubs (non heated). -
Kinda sounds like what we just saw from MT.

In 2018, the Bills were last in value. https://nfltraderumors.co/forbes-2018-nfl-franchise-valuations/ Now #26.
