We live in Ashland, VA (just north of Richmond) and put up a Bills flag on the front porch prior to every game. I usually take it down after the game but leave it up longer after a victory. We have had several people that we meet in town ask "Do you fly the Bills flag..." or meet outside when I am working in the yard during off-season and ask about the flag. Good conversation starter that has led to some good hookups with fellow WNYers.

Back to the topic. Looks like our flight to BUF from DC today is still on but not certain. We have our reds together & looking forward to the game. Bringing extra clothes in case lake effect on Sun cancels the return flight.

Paul - not there until tomorrow but, if there, I would do it again. Last time I did it was the storm that moved the game to Detroit. Shoveled for about 4 hours on a Sat and also got a free lunch in addition to being paid.

First, I am going to the game this weekend and using my season tickets. I live about 500 miles away in VA and flying with my wife. It ends up being a family get together weekend as my sisters will be making Christmas cookies so I organize my trips around events like this as some of my family lives in WNY. I have had some of my most memorable experiences and fun at snow games so looking forward to this one. Second, my resale results this year have been better than past seasons probably due to timing of when I sold them and the opponents.. Tix are lower bowl, 40 yd line, aisle seats. I sold my 2 tix for the Raiders, Saints, and Pats* for a combined $1,100. That funds my flights for games I am able to attend though I do not always fly. Drove up for the Bucs game.

BB will be aware that someone might target Gronk in the next game...perhaps not obviously intentionally but a harder hit than normal. My guess is BB does not play him. They prob will not need him and why risk it?

Stevewin - thanks for putting in the time to transcribe this. Great to read good news about McBeane, the players, and Polian observations. Sometimes I feel like I am in an alternate universe where the Bills are good. I remember 2011 and the excitement of that 5-2 team but felt that it could not sustain and down it went. But this staff and team are very different than previous Bills teams. Optimism starting to rise...

Wunderground shows 30-40% right now between 1-3 pm on Sun. Increases between 3-4 to 70%. But that could change prior to gametime. Wet field anyway due to rain prior to gametime.

Not a Stiller fan but did like him in Mystery Men. But that movie is before he & many others (William H Macy, Jeanne Garafalo, Hank Azaria) in that film became famous.

Mike Judge Tales From the Tour Bus Just started on Cinemax. He is doing Country Music in the first season and may move to rap or metal next season. I am not much of a c-w fan but enjoyed the humorous takes in the first two episodes on Johnny Paycheck and Jerry Lee Lewis. Unknown story exposes revealed by their 'friends', relatives, and band mates. Like the animation of the people instead of the video interviews. I am playing Clay and Bills D in FFL this week. I have Gronk and Ravens D but picked up the former two just for the opener. And I took Bills in TBD Survivor. Yeah, all of these are kinda crazy but I am stoked for the opener. It happens every year that my fanaticism overwhelms my analytical processes at season's start. I will be at the opener...can't wait.

Butler suffered the concussion the first week in August. Your theory is they could have cut him at any time but the Bills did not. Perhaps an injury settlement was reached on Sep 2 after he did not clear the concussion protocol just prior to that day. Butler was held out of the Aug 31 game.
