There are separate tours this year by Zappa and Ronnie James Dio which use their bandmates but superimpose those artists to play with their former bandmates. In the case of Zappa the shows will introduce new music with former band mates: https://www.zappa.com/news/frank-zappa-hologram-world-premiere-new-music-former-bandmates-bizarre-world-frank-zappa From what I have read, the Dio shows use classic tunes: http://www.metalstorm.net/events/news_comments.php?news_id=34597

POLL: Can you drive a manual transmission?
Mr Info replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
We still have a 2007 6 speed special order Accord w 150k on it. Really enjoy driving it when traffic is not an issue. But learned how to drive a manual quite a while back. My first 2 girlfriends post college had cars with sticks so helped I knew how to drive one. We taught our two boys how to drive a manual because you never know when you are stuck @ college where somebody should not be driving & nobody knows how to drive a manual. -
Do You Still Wear Zubaz?
Mr Info replied to The Real Buffalo Joe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep, I still wear mine to the occasional game. But they are the classis old Zubaz. I would not buy or wear the new ones. -
How much money did you spend on Super Bowl pools?
Mr Info replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I am in a couple of $50 SB pools. But both of these are not the typical ‘square’ pools. 10 people throw in some $ and each gets a # 0-9. The winner is the ones digit when the final score is added. So, a 5 would be a winner of a 24-21 final score. Really, no bad numbers. -
One instantly comes to mind. I was in grad school & did some bartending at a college bar. The bar was always busy. I had been dating an undergrad for about a year. She was cute & intelligent with a great body. She was also affectionate, nice, and loyal so a solid catch for me. Meantime, I was growing tired of her and shagging around. She comes into the bar one night and sits right where I am setup. I can tell she has been drinking. And the bar is crowded. She asks for a drink and when I hand it to her she grabs my arm and asks rather loudly “Tell me you don’t love me anymore”. Some people hear her and I can feel the gazes. Obviously, this is not the right place for this conversation so I say to her “Donna, I’m working. Can we talk about this later?” She says louder “No, I want to know now. Tell me you don’t love me.” Well, I realize this is my fault as I should have told her a while back and I am going to look like a heel right now...which I deserve. I stop, look directly at her, and say “No, I don’t love you anymore.” She starts crying. I am working so I move to another part of the bar & take an order. i still feel awful about that to this day and regret I did not inform her when I began to drift aeay. But it had an impact. I made sure I was always upfront in subsequent relationships.

There is a general consensus that introvert/extrovert are not black & white. Rather, there is an ambivert. For example, someone who behaves as an extrovert in social situations but an introvert otherwise. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/travisbradberry/2016/04/26/9-signs-that-youre-an-ambivert/amp/ https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/cutting-edge-leadership/201711/are-you-extravert-introvert-or-ambivert%3famp

Yes, what could go wrong...the first thing that came to my mind was the woman who had her face torn off by the chimpanzee.

Yes, lots of great music in the area. I don’t live on the southside (we live in Ashland) but in the last few months have been to shows on the southside like Crossroads Coffee to see good bands. Also will add The Broadberry in RVA to the other places @plenzmd1mentioned. Going to DAR Constitution Hall in DC fairly soon to see Saucerful of Secrets and Gypsy Sally’s to see Grateful Shred. Have journeyed up a few times in the past couple years to see shows at the 930 too.

@Gugny & @Chandler#81 Just curious - a friend is Lindy Fralin and wondered if you (or your son) use his pickups? https://www.fralinpickups.com/ Lots of well-known guitarists have purchased his hand-wound pickups. I was with him when Derek Trucks called with a free ticket to Lockn Fest to meet with him when he was playing there.

I just counted and have 131 apps on my phone. There are some I never use which I should remove and there are some I use infrequently. These are the ones I use fairly regularly: Banks (Wells Fargo, Chase, Citibank, Fidelity) Travel (Uber, Lyft, Airlines, Hotels, Airbnb, Waze, Google Maps, Amtrak, FlightAware, Avis, Mobile Passport) Amazon, AT&T, Directv, ESPN, YMCA, USAA, Pandora, LinkedIn, USB Disk, Twitter, WUndeground

Just FYI since I live near #RVA & have to give the homies a shout out. The Martin Agency in Richmond, VA has been Geico’s longtime marketing partner and has created the talking gecko, cavemen, and many of the ads.

I work in big pharma r&d but not in the field of insomnia. I use the results of reviewed clinical studies for the basis of recommended treatment. I will also acknowledge that the placebo effect is real. Having said that, the best literature review of CBD & Sleep that I found: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/28349316/ (NIH, 2017). Quoted from the Summary “Research on cannabis and sleep is in its infancy and has yielded mixed results.” Imo, a doctor telling a patient that it works is irresponsible without conclusive evidence. But perhaps he/she knows of results that have not been published. I am aware of more ongoing active studies with CBD & sleeplessness but I have been unable to find these results published yet.

When the OP did not identify the company, my prediction was Asea. They are selling salt water as a panacea to correct a multitude of health problems. Their marketing group is very careful about the claims they make but their seminars, media, & material is well developed. It is amazing to me that people would believe salt water could cure anything. But they are many desperate people and the placebo effect can be strong. https://sciencebasedmedicine.org/asea-still-selling-snake-oil/
