Cain did show some nice wiggle and burst on those couple plays. -

Think you need to look at the coverage again. The 2 completions to wr’s were not Elam’s man either time. He was in the area in trail coverage on a different wr -
Ahh the annual J-Gun thread! All is right now in the world.

Tannehill wants a chance to start. That's why he's not a backup option here. It could only change if he becomes desperate for a job, but his compensation history says that's not going to happen.

Curtis Samuel Turf Toe, Other Injury Updates

Somewhat encouraging (as long as its the milder 3-week variety) since he hasn't practiced since well before Saturday's game. Would put him at about 9/1 for readiness. -
Yep, I understand how his RAS score breaks down and I already acknowledged that I was off in saying he lacked speed if you look at my later replies. It was just a visual impression. I haven’t seen him live at the stadium yet. If he makes the squad it will be an amazing story for us all!

Dorian was excellent tonight. And apparently Joe A isn't slow afterall... Good for us
-
Ok! He looked a little slow out there visually (besides when he strung out Fields, that was great) but I guess he isn't, so good...
-
He lacks speed but his instincts look great and he’sa sure tackler
-
Everything else you wrote about MVS historically is accurate but he has not "dropped a lot of passes" in THIS camp. I can recall 2. He took a while to ramp up and consistently get open and thrown to.

Even more interesting with Davidson being so productive at TE

Not a ton of overly notable items from today's practice. They also wrapped up a bit early. Offense and Defense took turns with some solid plays here and there for much of it, but tough to tell a lot as they were going like 3/4 speed for a lot of it. With that said - As reports have stated, the Josh to MVS connection seems to be ramping up. He found MVS deep early on and also had a nice attempt and route on a deep post that got broken up. I noticed today that Josh was very focused on patience within the play, and often took the 3rd or 4th read on many of the pass plays for a solid but unspectacular completion and yardage gain. Shakir was Mr. dependable all over the field today, getting open in short and medium zones, making himself QB friendly and securing the grab (he must have had 6 catches out there in 11 on 11) and some decent RAC. The Bills edge rushers flashed at times (Von, Solomon, Smoot in particular) in getting good angles around the edge that may have affected a few of the plays. I see no path for Isabella, Shorter, Claypool, Johnson, Keys, etc. to make this team, beyond some sort of practice squad stashing. It feels like IF they keep 6 WR's, the final spot will be down to Hamler and Shavers based on what I've seen.

Welp, maybe the narrative wasn't premature on Bass after all... Sucks for us! Cook, WTH son? Concentration allergy?

Bass struggling at minicamp (and now at training camp)

Completely fake news -
“K Tyler Bass ended the period with a missed field goal from 58-yards. Bass then followed it up with made field goals of 23, 28, 33, 40, 44, and 51-yards, before ending practice with a made 44-yard field goal.” Seriously can we slow the roll on this narrative? ( it’s the reporter as much as your response) Yes, He had a tough end of 2023. But we’re now saying missing a 58 yarder ( the very limit of his range) and otherwise going 7-7 is shaky? Nah

Shakir just wants to win, man. That's all it is 😁

I would agree with him. Obviously he's already an elite QB, but his throws over the middle into layered coverage, along with his anticipation throws look improved. He clearly worked at it. In addition, there's no small arm adjustments going on caused by effects of a shoulder tweak, elbow, etc.

It's because, as Brady mentioned, it's a "3rd and long day" at practice (i.e. simulating obvious passing situations).

Pegula imploring Beane and McD to get Allen to embrace a CEO role?
34-78-83 replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Having the advantage of being here local to camp, I'll tell you this much.... the leading he does out there is constant. And its definitely in his own way (infused with much humor). He's all over the drills, getting people lined up, being inclusive/celebrating with ALL teammates (somehow), talking privately with players at times, relaying info with coaches. It sucks to me that some cryptic article that required another article to explain is kinda ruining what is happening naturally out there and has zilch to do with the team owner. -

no doubt... I should have clarified "style with the Bills" -

MCD very quickly asserted that it’s pretty obvious that is not Terry’s style whatsoever and I would agree with that from his track record. Some of the assumptions in the responses here are alarming. Wow what a time we live in. Josh is leading more because he’s more mature, it’s needed with the turnover on the offense, and likely it’s been discussed and planned in long ago in the off season. Graham has not done himself many favors in the past few years. -

There were lots of bunch formations used today. Sometimes Shakir would have been the "Z" there but mind you the formations were in very tight.
