Best Injury Designation Ever (maybe)
JerseyBills replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As they say, The tru, the tooth hurts -
They definitely crapped the bed. I still think Thursday,on the road ,and a rookie HC , were our biggest problem. But no excuses. Thursday's are a joke though, sadly. Another week, more players saying how terrible it is to play on such little rest. The injuries last night were brutal, at least we got out that game unscathed. I think that will be by far our worse showing of the year
-
Both are legitimately possible. I feel our 2 biggest strengths are the rushing attack- Saints giving up 4.7 ypc. We gotta be consistent on the ground and we have been at home all year. Second is Saints actually have committed at least 2 turnovers in their last 4 games, they have as many in their last 3 games (6), as we have all year. Again, we've been especially dominant at causing turnovers at home. They aren't used to playing in this type of weather and this plays into our hands, gotta win the t.o Battle..

Lol. I'm just confident in this 2017 Bills team. Like many on here, I don't correlate past teams with this current team. They have nothing in common, other than the jerseys and helmets.. I disagree about matchups. We should run all over them and we add 2 playmaking receiving threats, so it makes the preparation for N.O that much more difficult. There is very little tape of Clay/Matthews/Jones, now we have Benjamin as well, very unpredictable on offense. I agree on pass rush , have to get much better there, but secondary , possibly one injured CB isn't a disaster Also, everyone was predicting big losses when we were 1-1 and 3-2, we bounced back nicely, and I expect the same this Sunday Lmao. You guys are nit-picking at thread titles on a message board! Lmao Your lives must be amazing.. Jesus, there are some miserable folks on here, but I'll keep it moving

I believe so. I believe they play as a team extremely well. I also believe Thursday was an anomaly, out of 8 games, that was the only one we got manhandled, outplayed and embarrassed. I think they truly believe in each other and their ability to beat anybody and that belief is a powerful thing. Sorry if title is misleading. I just think they make a statement in how they play on Sunday versus a quality opponent

I'm going beyond the X's and O's here, I just believe this team is made up of the right kind of guys , guys with alot of heart , pride and honor. They experienced their first beat down of the year , with the world watching. I personally attribute that loss to mainly playing on Thursday, but there's no excuses , it counts the same on their record. I feel this team took that beat down personally and respond in a huge way versus the red hot Saints. Being at home, getting Clay/Benjamin, possibly Gaines back helps, but either way I'm extremely confident this team responds in a big way. I expect a 10+ point victory, I believe in these coaches as well, and I just feel we will be the hungrier team that will want the W more than N.O... As for the X's and O's, I love our matchups. I view this alot like Atlanta, except I expect the run game to be much more dominant. A win will certainly get the bad taste out of our mouths after the Thursday night beat down, we defend our dirt and out play N.O imo.. By the fourth I think we'll be comfortably ahead. Thoughts? Do you guys feel we we're exposed by NYJ? I don't . Their offense in the elements, outdoors is not the same as the cozy done they are used to.
-
I feel the same way. I was much more worried about the TNF game, even though it's a lesser opponent, it was a short week,on road. Brees isn't the same on road, outdoors, especially with the swirling winds of New Era Field. Not surprised majority picked Bills here, undefeated at home, coming off only true manhandling of season, getting at least 2 major upgrades to O, in Clay and Benjamin and hopefully Clay. Shady with a huge bounce back game,Bills win by 10

Did the defense quit on Coach Thursday?

Jameis Winston eating a W?
JerseyBills replied to TallskiWallski83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point, I too felt he was trying to hard and guys will see right through that.. Ppl bash Tyrod but he is a respected leader on O, because he walks the walk on and off the field. Winston is not much younger and definitely doesn't demand that same level of respect imo.. -
Kelvin Benjamin putting in time
JerseyBills replied to Buffalo716's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Awesome news! He definitely is a perfect fit for the O, and can get down field and win those 50/50 matchups.. Very excited to see him in lineup. With Zay potentially coming out of his slump and Matthews going to the slot where he belongs, this is going to be a totally new look, Shady will benefit big time too! Oh and Clay should be back as well.. He was looking phenomenal in this scheme, Gaines back on D. Definitely going to be an exciting 2nd half, I believe that Jet game was an anomaly -
Jameis Winston eating a W?
JerseyBills replied to TallskiWallski83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You have both? I'd say Fitz, he'll be slinging the ball for alot of garbage time yards n TDs.. Brisset will be more consistent but Fitz will give more upside -
Jameis Winston eating a W?

Interesting lmao.. I saw Hard Knocks, I thought he did all the right things in order to be a leader but I never got the impression his teammates really looked at him as a leader. That clip shows me why , Super strange -
Is every team with 3 losses doomed?
JerseyBills replied to DisplacedBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Board was same way at 1-1 and 3-2..Hot take central, overeggeration , all negativity.. This team is legit contenders imo.. I think playing Thursday beat us more than anything else.. We're also getting healthy at right time. Clay/Gaines/Benjamin are huge additions, all impact players. We are fine.. -
Well we also can't control our schedule, only team played with winning record is Car.. lost by 6 on road, with ball in red zone and Zay just missing that pass.. We are not like those teams. In 7/7 Sun games, we are 5-2 , lost two games by 10 points, I'm not worried about the Jets loss much, Thursdays are brutal... We get huge pieces back in Clay, Gaines and Benjamin making debut! We'll be in every game from here on out imo.. I think we are legit contenders.. Ppl panicked at 1-1 and 3-2.. I think this mini Bye is much needed for us to get on n d back on track
-
True. This game being home changes everything though. Saints are notoriously different on road , in outside stadiums, and weather will be cold, possible rain n wind...Brees can be shut down under these circumstances.. Big advantage for Bills and we're playing great at home.. I love our chances.. A. Mini Bye B. This team has bounced back after every loss, got embarrassed for 1st time this year so I expect Buffalo to be extra ready.. C. Big influx of talent: Clay Gaines Benjamin will all play! 6-3 , here we come!

11-3: McDermott Presser at 1 PM ET
JerseyBills replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thursday Night ,on road was our biggest negative. Like McDermott said, there were so many aspects of that game that were uncharacteristic of the 17 Bills. In 7 prior games we never been manhandled, blown out , we were in 7/7 games until the last series(!) , and suddenly on a Thursday night we flop like that? TNF is not indicative of a teams true ability imo, especially road teams. 3 days prep/healing is a joke! It's not healthy, it's pure greed behind it. And we have a rookie HC that probably handled the ridiculous 3 days prep badly. Point is, this team wins during the week, think the lack of prep killed this team, and I don't expect them to ever look this bad again. Getting Clay/Benjamin/Gaines in there is huge too! Still very optimistic, truly expect a bounce back Remember, at 1-1 and 3-2 , this board was Hot Take central, let's relax and see how they respond and get to a respectable 6-3.. -
It was up there. He was locked in! In the GDT ,at the game, I was screaming for them to pass on those 2nd/3rd and shorts where we lost yards usually. We just couldn't give him a clean pocket on any type of consistent basis. Very encouraged by his play. 3 straight now where Taylor has looked very good
-
Who's our competition in AFC?Do you expect to look like tonight or the 5-2 team that lost by 10 points in their 2 losses going forward? Total anomaly tonight imo... We looked completely out of character, 3 days rest/gameplan on the road lost us this game. I don't expect the Bills to look this bad ever again in 2017. Both lines got dominated, we lacked our trademark fundamentals. If this was a Sunday/Monday game I'd be worried.. Everyone was saying we we're done at 1-1 and 3-2 as well..

Thursday Night Football Means Nothing
JerseyBills replied to HardyBoy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Road TNF games are brutal. TNF in general is brutal. 1/8 games I saw this team get clearly outplayed on O and D and that 1 game was a Thursday game on the road.. If this was Sunday or Monday I'd be extremely concerned. I'm not concerned. I don't expect to see the Bills look like tonight at any other point in season, tonight was an anomaly. They lacked their trademark- fundamentals. I attribute that to 3 days prep , on road.. Not making excuses, just my thoughts. -

They're home..TNF is awful. I always said it doesn't accurately depict a team, especially on road
